  1. It would be great to be able to create products (NOT linked as a stay package) composed of different subproducts with different prices and VAT rates, which would show as one package price.

    Example: I would like to create a Drinks package of X€, composed of water at Y€ and VAT rate at 10% and of wine at Z€ and VAT rate at 20%. Currently we have to create two products (water AND wine) and it would not appear as a drinks package in the billing line.

  2. It would be great if when changing the dates of a reservation in the properties tab you could have an option to keep the same price when changing the dates. This could be added as it is the apply cancellation fees, which you can select or not. Specially now with the Covid-19 crisis we are changing a lot of reservation dates keeping the conditions for our guests, and if the price of the new dates is higher than the price they had, when you change the dates the price per night is automatically updated.   3. When viewing the timeline availability blocks are not visible, it would be good to be able to see availability blocks on the timeline.

    When the team look at the timeline it is misleading regarding availability if large availability blocks are in place.

  4. Now, it is impossible to print or send a proforma if booking is not confirmed
    To send a proforma for optional booking we have to confirm the reservation then delete it and re-create the booking as optional.
    Please make it possible, so we can send a proforma invoice as a quotation with an option date for confirmation

  5. Possibility to add notes without changing the room status is missing and necessary.

    P.a. if DND (do not disturb) or white card (when guest changes cleaning against free drink at bar) housekeeping needs to add the note to the status "dirty".

    At the moment you can only add notes when the status is changed.

  6. Actually you can create a proforma invoice and print it as PDF, but it is not stored in Mews. So, if you like to find it weeks later, there is no chance. E.g. if you like to know on which guest you have created it.

  8. The routing rules allows us to route the following options;
    1 - Only reservations that are prepaid in online travel agency (OTA)
    2 - All reservations with this company or travel agency attached

    we noticed that option 1 does not route prepaid reservations by VC.
    As Bcom does indicate its a VC instead of a prepaid to TA. We cannot apply routing to this TA. As they do not have separate TA profiles for VC and CC as Expedia has, we currently cannot distinguish which ones should be routed.

  9. At the moment the restriction settings in MEWS are very complicated and extensive. When we try to close multiple rates that are within different Rate Groups (due to the settlement required) we have to close all rates individually. Our idea is to create Rate Buckets where you can add rates manually that only apply to restriction. This way, you can apply all restrictions on these Rate Buckets instead of on rate group or individual rates.

    Furthermore, it would be perfect if you can apply restrictions based on occupancy %. I.e. if hotel is 60% booked, I want to close all…

  10. We need to have the option to can mark the reservations for the next days as ''ready to check in'' so we know that there is nothing else to do with this reservations in terms of testing the credit card, or whatever is needed to do with the reservation, or mark the reservation as ''incidence'' if there is something that needs to be done on that booking.

  11. When dealing with a booking extension ( checked-in) Mews automatically changes the room allocation to a new vacant room. This does not make any sense as the guest is already in house, and Mews should not be able to change by itself an In-house reservation. This is leading into a lot of check-ins into occupied rooms and therefore, guest complaints.

  13. Tasks that are automatically created for bookings based on rate code, company, travel agent or rate group. For example: with a special promo including a dinner all guests need to be contacted with regards to dietary restrictions OR
    all booking that are received from HRS the CC details still need to be retrieved from the extranet eetc. etc.

  14. Have the option to restrict product to specific dates.
    For example: if we have New Years Eve Gala Dinner created as a product, would be very helpful to be able to restrict this product to only guests staying during the night of the 31st of December, and not to any booking date.

  15. House Accounts which are regularly used tend load/open slowly due to high volumes of transactions.

    Can we move historical data (90days and older) to a separate account or only load the most recent data when opening the account (last 60 days)

    This will assist efficiency and speed when charging to house accounts.

  18. At present the available Space Status are Dirty, Clean & Inspected (OOS & OOO).

    From a front office and housekeeping perspective this is limiting.

    Could you please consider the following please?

    VACANT READY - Inspected
    OCCUPIED DIRTY - Guest checked in
    OCCUPIED READY - Inspected stay over
    VACANT DIRTY - Guest checked out
    PICKUP - Room move and for housekeeping to inspect

    This would offer more clarity as to not only the status of the room but also the ‘condition’, meaning the physical status of the room (guest). This is important for the operation of a hotel.

  19. Occupancy overview in dashboard only 7 days ahead, while need is there to have similar overview for 14 days, this makes planning staff for Restaurants, Housekeeping much easier. If you click on Occupancy then the data comes out, completely different. The overview for 14 days, would be a great asset and make life easier.
