  1. It would be very useful to be able to separate (1) the permission to charge a credit card online or via Mews Terminal and (2) the permission to refund (partially or all) a payment via a tokenized credit card for a given user (or a given group of user). For example front office agents should be able to charge a credit card online or via Mews Terminal but should not be permitted to make any refunds (which are to be restricted to a manager).

  2. The system displayed a generic error message:

    "Oops, something went wrong."

    The message suggested a system or application failure, even though the underlying issue was not a platform error.

    Impact
    - Users are unable to determine the actual reason for the failure.
    - The generic message leads users to believe there is a platform issue, resulting in unnecessary troubleshooting efforts.
    - Additional support interactions may be required to identify what is actually a permissions-related issue.
    - Creates confusion and reduces confidence in the product experience.

  3. Why does Mews changes things for no reason? where is the back button on reservation gone? when I do my reservations checks, once I'm finished, I had to click back 5-6 times before it takes me back to the reservation report. Also, not impressed with new reservation report - you seem to have to re-enter all the filters every time you try to go back to original reservations list!

  4. Today central users are automatically admin. So it is not possible to give the multi-property access to a new user by limiting some areas as it can be done in each property.
    Ther request is to extend the roles created for the different properties also for the MMP. It is not optimal to have an high number of users with Admin provileges.

  5. here is a recommendation for your team, maybe we need to add and the ACTION LOG who made keys, or how many keys were made, and change the language from "confirmed" to "checked in" on the action log, you can share that with your team, we can not see who makes keys and when or what times, and having to read the whole lines of words to see the room was confirmed would be much easier if it says checked in.

    Can we please implement a log for user management actions?
    Right now, there is no tracking in place to see who created, deleted, or modified a user. Adding this log will help us monitor changes, ensure accountability, and maintain accurate records.

  8. Have a general setting that allows us to default reports to Net value rather than Gross value. It is time consuming and prone to error to have to keep remembering to adjust the setting, would be far simpler to be able to set this as a default.

  9. Mews only stores data for 3 months, which is too short. If issues happen, they are usually way past 3 months. For example, guest emails, pricing etc.

    It is beneficial for hotels to access all email history per guest, 6-9 months at least. The same goes for pricing; looking into reports back in time makes no sense, and you can not get a correct average price for the past on a day-to-day basis as well as per whole month.

    So, please do increase data storing to a few more months.

  10. Expand the "Responsibility" section so it can also function as a restriction layer, not only a notification feature.

    Current:
    **Offer to Employee = All employees have access and visibility into the service, which they can sell/post. It does not offer "exceptions".

    **The responsibility section in the service is mainly for Notifications or Tasks.

    Desired behavior:

    Add a configuration option in Service Settings:
    “Restrict service management to the responsible department/user only.”

    When enabled:

    Only staff or user groups assigned as Responsible can:
    Sell the service
    Modify service orders
    Manage related items/products

    Non‑responsible staff:
    Can view the service (configurable), but
    Cannot sell…

  11. It would be helpful to have a view-only access to the rates and rategroups in the settings so that employees, who are not admins in Mews, can see the conditions and policies of all rates.

    Alternatively, it would be a big help to be able to see the rate description on the reservation when hovering over the rate with the mouse. Right now, if you are not an admin in Mews, you are not able to find or see the rate descriptions of for example OTA bookings, which is impacting our daily operations. This add on would be a great…

  13. We would love to have a different role options for our housekeeping so that only the houskeeping manager can "check" a room. Everyone else should just be able to put the room to "clean".

    We highly value the flexibility and efficiency Mews provides in managing our daily operations. However, we would like to suggest an improvement to further enhance security and accountability within the platform, particularly concerning refunds.

    Currently, refund permissions in Mews are not granular enough to allow businesses to effectively control the maximum refund amounts that can be processed by various team members.   18. Create a seperate option to choose charge card online and terminal payments as user rights.

  20. We are experiencing attempts to get employees to login to a false login-site, where a thirdparty is then mirroring the login credentials, and gets access to the account without the employee knowing. We wish the security level increased. here is some suggetions:
    - Messages in case of login attempts on a new device, and the new login should be approved
    - Possibility to limit login only to onsite IP-adresses
    - Other security measures
