  1. If there are certain rules such as a minimum stay of 5 nights. For a room, for example, two nights are free. It would be good if certain positions (management) could still make bookings and override these rule

  2. We would like to be able to change the optimize space allocation function in Timeline so that you can assign it as a Permission under roles.
    So not everyone has rights to use this feature.

  3. Hello, we would like to have the feature of automatic logout/lock session after employee inactivity. For example, if there is no interaction on the screen for 60 seconds, the “lock session” should be automatically enforced for the employee.

  4. We would love to have a different role options for our housekeeping so that only the houskeeping manager can "check" a room. Everyone else should just be able to put the room to "clean".

    That is not yet possible.

  6. Dear Mews Team,

    We highly value the flexibility and efficiency Mews provides in managing our daily operations. However, we would like to suggest an improvement to further enhance security and accountability within the platform, particularly concerning refunds.

    Currently, refund permissions in Mews are not granular enough to allow businesses to effectively control the maximum refund amounts that can be processed by various team members. This presents challenges in maintaining financial oversight and ensuring that only authorized personnel handle larger refunds.

  7. After a phising attack, or an unallowed log in into the system, it would be helpful when MEWS sends immediately a note to the affected user and parallel to a defined admin user and a general mailaccount. We made the experience that after a phising attack there was lost a lot of time.

  8. As one of the individual permissions, give the option to restrict exporting reports. With the current phishing attempts it is very important to limit who can export reservations reports.

When making a user profile it would be nice to have an end of employment date or something similar that allows to account to freeze or pause when an employee is not working at the property anymore. This would be a safeguard for responsible user management. This combined with a reminder in advance for users who have user management configured that a user has to be deleted or his/her access has to be extended soon.

    1. I would love to be able to lock reservations on the dashboard instead of goin into the full reservation, sometimes we book 15-20 reservations under one person and then when we are done we run the card for deposits and sperate the bills. It would be a great practice to be able to lock them without going back into them.
    2. I would love if the employees name came up next to when a reservation was cancelled right now it just gives you the date and time but adding the employee like you do when it's created could elevatie the discovery…

  10. I wish we had the possibility to sort the "customer profile" list by names.

    When customers book a room with us through some of the booking sites, it automatically creates a brand new profile. So we can have one guest with: multiple upcoming- and past bookings, but he has them spread over 8 different profiles. This makes it hard to find bookings, payments, bills and contact information. It is important for us to merge them, so we can collect all his information on one profile.

    It is also annoying for the returning guests if we did not manage to merge…

  11. We are a small property, and thus our members have several different jobs. We would like some of our staff to be able to view customer info, or view the timeline, without necessarily having access to "creating or managing" customers and companies. Viewing the information (especially the ability to see the timeline) should be separate from the ability to add or modify anything

  12. Wir würden gerne über eine gefilterte Menge an Gästen oder Interessenten individuelle EMails versenden. Diese Emails möchten wir als Vorlage abspeichern können.
    Es wäre toll, wenn es die Möglichkeit zur Erstellung von individuellen Anschreiben und Emails gäbe. Ein einfacher HTML-Editor wäre wundervoll.

In a scenario where a multi property shares its customer addressbook across multiple hotels it is difficult to connect 3rd party tools that aim to access only a subset of customer (e.x. only of hotel A). The customer response should contain a field with a property id of where the specific customer was created

  14. Ability to block exports of the ‘Customer Profile’ report for certain user roles.

    A receptionist on a temporary contract (i.e. working only 1 or 2 days in the hotel) can, if he or she wishes, export the whole of the hotel group's customer database by means of an Excel export filtered by creation date.

  16. Good evening Mews team

    I request your support to enable the option to export the users created in operational mews, because when you want to perform an audit you have to be copying the data manually 1 to 1 and that makes it tedious.

    The data that the users have is required to be exported in a complete way to be able to have it at hand when required.

    NOTE: I have already performed and reviewed the steps having the admin of mews university and it does not give me this option, therefore I request the enabling.

  17. Mews is implementing many extra ways to secure the user account.
    However, if it happens that a hackers gains access to the Mews system, you are pretty much done.

    All users have access to the Reservations Report, and if the Permission 'View Customer Data' is given to the user (which it will be in 99.9% of the cases) the hacker can easily export the Reservations Report including ALL of the guests private information.

    If access to the Reservations Report is either available as an individual permission, or added to the permission 'Access to sensitive reports' a hotel can protect themselves…

  18. Access to reservations, but read only. This is useful for smaller properties where for example the security guard needs to check passports/ID to make sure the correct person is in front of them.

    But then don't give them the access to make any changes to them.

  19. In the user management section, it would be nice to simply deactivate or reactivate user profiles. Sometimes users work for seasons and leave the company for a few months between seasons. Currently, if you want to stop the access to Mews, you have either to remove the rights of the user or you have to delete the profile and recreate a new profile when the user comes back. When you try to remove the rights, if will not work if the user has created export schedules. The only person who can remove the export schedules is the user himself. It…
