  1. Currently, when sending an invoice/bill via email for a company owned bill only the company’s invoicing email is automatically suggested as a recipient. However, most of the time the guest (associate profile) should receive the bill as they have to file it with their travel management to get reimbursed.
    Hence, the email of the guest needs to be retrieved manually each time from the guest profile and copied back into the send bill/invoice form. This delays the checkout process unnecessarily!

  2. Dear Mews forum managers,

    I've been on the forum for a while now and have a few suggestions for improvements.

    It would be nice if:
    *the results could be filtered according to completed, rejected, open. at the moment you have to fight your way through various articles that make no sense to read
    *if you could also filter the search, e.g. all words must be included etc.
    *if your entries were moderated so that similar ideas were grouped together
    *if there was feedback on entries that have really received a lot of votes and yet are obviously not implemented

  3. MEWS is very often asking for Feedback in a small window and asks how likely it is, that I would recommend MEWS regarding to the action I just took.
    I really love MEWS, and like to involve and help.
    I always have to either rate or cancel this window, and if a couple of tasks is going on, or more than one customer is before me, my workflow is really disturbed. It would be lovely if you'd ask not so often or in another way.
    I know it is not really a idea, but I wanted to offer other Mewsers…

  4. It would be very useful if you could view the status of an existing support case (e.g. see if it's been looked at, actioned, etc.) via the digital assistant. Currently once a case is submitted via the digital assistant, I'm not aware of a way to contact support without creating another case via the digital assistant. If you email support@mews.com the automated reply says emails cannot be responded to directly, and creates another case.

    It would be much simpler if you could give your case number to the digital assistant to get a link to a summary page. Also, it…

  5. It would be great to have the option to deactivate the service charge in additional services. Like a tick box where they could say if a service charge would apply or not.
    This would eliminate that the user charges the service charge by accident, leading to postings in wrong accounting categories, eventually even wrong VATs.
    Now with the new design where the service charge it is on top of all additional products, it is easier to fill in the service charge and forget about the product.

  7. Copy a reservation to a future date

    Often returning clients make sometimes the same booking for different dates. It would be great to have an option to copy a reservation to another date to make the reservation process quicker.

It would be great if MEWS had an option during build and for future changes, to allow a bulk upload or download of products within services for monitoring - currently updating prices, adding or removing products is laborious for properties and very time consuming; having the ability like guest profiles to upload and download would be much quicker and save a lot of time.

  12. If a guest books a specific product such a pet, the task will be automatically created for the HSK team to insert a dog bed in the room.
    If the guest books a champagne/wine on arrival, an automated task will be created for RS to prep the champaign and bring to the room

  13. We would like to block the option of adding a Token to a Custom Link - we use the custom Links for passer by's, and would like to block the option of adding a token to this "paymaster" to avoid it to be changed at a later stage.

  16. I feel like a basic feaure for anyone who is using the internet for work is to use tabs in the web browser. Especially in the reception where you are often working on multiple things, and reservations at once.

    So that you cannot use the very common hot key CTRL + click to open a new tab is frustrating. That you cannot even use the old school way by right clicking is BEYOND frustrating.

  17. Roomtype setup also needs to have the option to configure a rebate accounting categorie. We want to split revenue per roomtype with different accounting categories. This is possible, but when revenue is rebated it goes to a general rebate categorie instead of the configured room type accounting categories. Seems like the product team forgot to develop the rebate- and cancelled items accounting categories settings in the room type configuration section.

  18. Additional/customizable origin options.

    When a reservation is created we have limited options to choose as the origin of the booking. We would like to have the option to customize these options ourselves to have a better overview of where the bookings come from.

  19. We are adding all are notes manually and we want to automate this process. It would be great if we could add notes to a rate code so we are sure all neccessary information for this guest (corporate, special perks, colleagues) is automatically added. This way Front Office knows what guests are coming and what information they need to know up front.
