  2. We require the ability to split the monetary amount (charge) of a single item or a total bill across multiple payment accounts or invoices. The current system only allows splitting products or payment transactions, not the value itself.

    The current lack of charge splitting creates three major invoicing issues:

    Shared Room Cost: It is impossible to split the cost of one room night (e.g., 1000 kr) equally between two guests (500 kr each) to generate individual receipts/invoices for their correct share.

    Custom Amount Allocation: We cannot assign specific, custom amounts from a single total (e.g., 2000 kr total) to different…

  3. The current behavior of search bar with Travel Agency contracts is misleading.
    In practice, we are being redirected from one property to another without being fully aware of it.
    Furthermore, when you have different properties, Travel Agency contracts will appear, without the possibility, unless one clicks on them, to understand which property each of them refers to.
    From our perspective, the expected behavior would be to display only the contract related to the property currently in use.
    Alternatively, if it should function in the same way as Companies, it should not be necessary to enter it separately for each individual…

  4. Smaller hotels in our chain would like to be able to send newsletters to specific groups of guests, and having a mail template to adjust between seasons and campaign would be a simple way to handle this locally at the hotel.

  5. Currently, tasks in Mews can only be assigned a deadline or to close them. While this covers the basic workflow, it leaves a gap in team communication and task visibility.

    I’d like to suggest introducing an additional task status, for example, “In Progress” to indicate when someone has already started working on a task.

    Why this would be valuable:

    Improved coordination: Prevents multiple team members from picking up the same task unknowingly.

    Transparency: Makes it clear which tasks are actively being worked on versus those still pending.

    Clear lifecycle: Having statuses such as To Do → In Progress → Done…

  8. Currently, tasks in Mews can only be marked with a deadline and then completed. However, it would be very helpful to have an additional status — such as “In Progress” — to indicate when someone has already started working on a task.

    This would greatly improve team communication and coordination, especially in situations where multiple users might otherwise pick up the same task or wonder whether it’s already being handled.

    Having a clear task lifecycle (e.g. To Do → In Progress → Done) would provide more visibility and reduce confusion.

  9. Creating a filter in the Mews app for the tasks; now they are in order of time of reporting, but that’s not efficient.

    A good option to help the Operations and Housekeeping teams is have a filter to put the task by roomnumber (accommodationnumber).

    Also, here other Task improves that can be helpful:

    • There is no way to filter by name, by date, by accommodation number whatever).

    • No required field to fill in creating a task accommodation number.

  10. It would be helpful to be able to work with a date when adjusting the price of products, e.g. City Taxe valid until date xx.xx.xxxx CHF.... from date xx.xx.xxxx CHF ... valid. City taxes are legal requirements that can change from time to time.

  11. For hotels with the "receivable tracking" not enabled, It would be nice to consider removing the Overdue Label for past issued invoices in the Mews Search Bar. The label does not show anywhere other than the search bar.

    There is no way to act on it, but seeing it leaves the impression that the users must act on it.

  12. Op dit moment kunnen producten in de boekingsmodule alleen toegevoegd worden door de gast, op de wijze waarop het product toegevoegd is in Mews operations. Dat betekent wanneer in Mews operations aangegeven staat dat het product 'eenmalig' geboekt wordt, de gast deze niet vaker dan een keer kan bijboeken in de boekingsmodule. Dat is jammer van de omzet en levert herwerk op: de meeste gasten komen met z'n tweeën en willen het product dan vaker dan een keer toevoegen.

  13. Hi Team,

    I’ve noticed that the "Onboarding Knowledge Hub" icon is constantly visible on the screen, and currently, there’s no way to remove or hide it. While I understand its purpose, it tends to interfere with daily work, especially when using Mews on smaller screens or mobile devices.

    On smaller screens, the icon isn’t movable, which means I often have to rotate the entire device just to access parts of the interface. It would be really helpful to have an option to deactivate or hide the icon when it's not needed.

  14. When we check out guests at the reception, it would be helpful if we could easily display the invoice digitally to the guest before checkout. The idea would be a button that would send the invoice view to a permanently installed iPad/screen for the guest. For example, you could select the right or left screen, and the invoice would then appear there. This could be achieved via a browser window.

  15. Once the registration card has been completed on the tablet during check-in, it is not possible to add additional products. The message ‘Refresh to see our offers’ is displayed and it is not possible to proceed.

  16. Now, when you enter a roomnumber, it shows partial confirmation numbers mostly. I want to quickly look up a guest by roomnumber, not only by name.

  17. I feel like a basic feaure for anyone who is using the internet for work is to use tabs in the web browser. Especially in the reception where you are often working on multiple things, and reservations at once.

    So that you cannot use the very common hot key CTRL + click to open a new tab is frustrating. That you cannot even use the old school way by right clicking is BEYOND frustrating.

  18. MEWS is very often asking for Feedback in a small window and asks how likely it is, that I would recommend MEWS regarding to the action I just took.
    I really love MEWS, and like to involve and help.
    I always have to either rate or cancel this window, and if a couple of tasks is going on, or more than one customer is before me, my workflow is really disturbed. It would be lovely if you'd ask not so often or in another way.

  20. Roomtype setup also needs to have the option to configure a rebate accounting categorie. We want to split revenue per roomtype with different accounting categories. This is possible, but when revenue is rebated it goes to a general rebate categorie instead of the configured room type accounting categories. Seems like the product team forgot to develop the rebate- and cancelled items accounting categories settings in the room type configuration section.
