Creating the same task for the whole group
We have a bunch of big groups coming which all have the same task set up, for different departments (e.g. housekeeping and reception). It would be great to be able to make the same task once for the whole group, instead of doing 30-40 tasks individually. The same would go for if we need to make the same task for multiply departments, it would make it easier to just choose the corresponding departments.

Make Legionella more flexible to cover more use cases
Mews has a legionella prevention function. It automatically puts vacant rooms into dirty status after 7 days of being vacant. However, our Housekeeping and Maintenance system have a likewise function, which is way more operatable. Because I can adjust settings: I can choose the amount of days, type of notifications and to whom, etc. And, it belongs to those departments that do the legionella prevention. Mews just puts the rooms on dirty status and I have to go all the way into the history log of each individual dirty room to find out why it was put dirty; there's no…

CREATE NOTIFICATION ALERTING A NEW TASK WAS ASSIGNED
It would be very helpful to create a notification alerting the department/employees that a new task has been assigned.

Reservation overview list view
LIST VIEW of reservation overview(arrival, departure, inhouse) and possibilty to sort by for example "guest name", "room number", "price", "departure date", "number of persons" etc.
If we have more than 10 arrivals we are not able to all in a glance. This is a BIG challenge for larger properties.

Customizable Origins
Properties should be able to customize their own origins as they may need to use more than the hardcoded ones, mainly for reporting purposes

Automatic space assignment based on space feature requests/groups
"If customers request a specific space feature, such as a balcony or a garden view, this must be processed after received so that an employee can manually assign such a space for that individual. Rather than manual assignment, however, properties may want to automate these feature requests. A new feature would enable the system to automatically allocate space assignment based on customer requests."

Link tasks to arrival / departure date
Task linked to arrival / departure date - ensure you are able to link a task to a specific event in the reservation like the departure date; meaning that if the departure date changes, so thus the task. Ideally, you should also be able to set a plus or minus days for this link (i.e. check one day prior to departure if guest has returned the DVD player)

Show employee who created a note
It would be nice to have the name of the employee who left a note on the reservation, This way is easier for departments to communicate. Since everyone needs to login with their own credential Mews should display who wrote the note. This will be a helpful tool for management to follow up with the person who's left a specific note on reservation. (e.g. guest complained about noise, the manager will be able to follow up with the receptionist who left the note- for more details.)

Fill in an transaction date for card payment by terminal or external payments
There is no space to register the date of an card payment by terminal or an external payment, like a wire transfer. This is needed to keep the accounting reports correct, when a wire transfer is registed not on the same day.

Occupancy-based pricing
Spaces are often priced by category, however additional pricing schemes could become available with the possibility of pricing spaces according to the number of guests accommodated. With the availability of occupancy-based pricing options, properties would have the possibility to set rate price based on the number of people staying in the space rather than applying an empty bed adjustment. This would enable much more pricing flexibility for revenue managers, which could additionally provide even more attractive prices for guests.

It will be very useful to put a note for each credit card in order to know if the credit card is a personal one or a professional one. So we will be able to take a deposit on the right CC and differentiate each CC.

Order spaces within the Space category
Order spaces within the Space category in the timeline.
At the moment, we can't order bedrooms as we wish in the timeline.
Depending on the location of the bedroom in the building, it makes more sense to have it in a certain order.

Resources (parking lots, meeting rooms, co-working spaces and others) can be offered through multiple services
A hotel is not just rooms and beds. There are many resources in each hotel. There can be co-working spaces, parking lots, conference rooms, kitchens, sport courts, bikes or boats, sports equipment etc. (the list could be literally endless) and we want to manage them in the system and offer them to the guests just like we offer rooms and beds today. It would allow us to boost the non-accommodation revenue and diversify the hotel's business.

Solution for parking, office and meeting room management has been live and helping hundreds of Mews customers diversify their revenues for quite some time.

Showing the room number on past bookings
On the dashboard of a guest, we cannot see in one eyesight the previous room number, we have to click on details, or open every past bill.

Customized cleaning schedules
Many properties have different cleaning schedules based on space type or standard interval. Currently there is only a single housekeeping interval available in Mews, so additional customization fields could allow properties to choose more detailed procedures for their housekeeping assignment and scheduling.

Stop showing future stays in the balance on the check-out list
The summary of guest balance on the check-out page is pretty nice and allows us to see with a quick glance if the guest has something left to pay when leaving.
It would be much better if that summary only showed the balance for the current stay and not the future stays of the guest.
Most of our regulars have dozens of stays booked in advance and the check-out summary shows the total for all of them which is completely irrelevant during check-out.73 votesHello from the Mews product team. Group deposit
Group bookings can complicate payments, especially if all bookings are being paid for by a single party. Adding the capability to pay deposits for the group as a whole could provide a solution, as this could simplify the payment process for many business travelers or any other group travelers.
