  1. Currently, the availability block creation flow in Mews does not include a segment field. While adding a segment field could improve categorization and reporting, properties should have the flexibility to configure this field as either mandatory or optional based on their operational needs.

    For properties that rely heavily on segment-based reporting, making the field mandatory ensures consistency and better data quality. However, for others, the additional step might complicate workflows, especially since reservations often need to be updated manually after creation.

    Suggestion: Introduce a configurable setting that allows properties to decide whether the segment field should be mandatory or optional…

  2. We have a bunch of big groups coming which all have the same task set up, for different departments (e.g. housekeeping and reception). It would be great to be able to make the same task once for the whole group, instead of doing 30-40 tasks individually. The same would go for if we need to make the same task for multiply departments, it would make it easier to just choose the corresponding departments.

  3. Currently, it’s not possible to change the rate of an availability block once it’s created. To make any adjustments, the block would need to be deleted and a new one created.

    It would be very helpful to have the option to modify the rate directly without having to delete and recreate the block.:)

  4. When uploading Group blocks with excel, the system assigns rooms based on Room category, it would be beneficial to assign based on room numbers rather than room category

  5. At the moment you are unable to see the specific group that has remaining rooms that have not been picked up, instead you see all the groups with blocks during the specified dates.
    With that you need to go into each of the groups to check which ones still have rooms that have not been picked up nor released.

  6. It should be possible to remove a guest from a group.
    Cancelation and rebooking is not a logical process. The canceled booking stays forever in the group, doesn´t it?

    Shouldn´t be to hard to develop. ;-)

  9. To effectively utilize the Availability Blocks section, we need the ability to pick up rooms from a block that has an optional booking status. We often work with call-in allocations, where clients reserve a set number of rooms (e.g., 50) for their participants. As participants book rooms, the booking status changes to "confirmed" once a room is booked for an individual.

  10. Currently, the 'manage reservation' screen for groups does not show a summary of the total cost for the group, but only shows the total of each individual reservation.

    With optional reservations, there is no bill added to the 'billing' tab yet, so there is no (easy) way to verify how much the total cost is for the group reservation. This causes difficulties especially when sending out quotes to the guest.

  11. Excel rooming list must have a country field.
    For statistics we need to fill in the country (not Nationality) in the customers profile. With large business groups it is easier, to fill this in the Excel rooming list, than to open every customers profile.

    For things to follow up on regarding the group, e.g. follow up if we have received the name list.

  15. We would like a function where we could download a PDF confirmation letter for guests that are a part of a group block that doesn't have any links or anything in it. Just simply information about their stay: name, date of arrival/departure, room category, rate etc.

  16. Currently, you are unable to extend an availability reservation without adjusting the block itself, or making a new reservation then locking it into the same room. Being able to manually extend a room block reservation behind negotiated day's and rates within the block would be excellent so the guest maintains one reservation throughout their stay.

  17. When a group booking is optional, costs are 0. This way we don't know how many revenue a group is holding. We'd like to see a tentative saldo and a definite saldo. So if a group still needs to be confirmed, we still want to see the costs involved.

  18. Es wäre sinnvoll und einfacher, wenn man direkt vom Reservierungsbutton aus auch eine Gruppenreservierung / einen Gruppenblock anlegen kann. Der Umweg über den "Verfügbarkeits Blöcke" Bericvht ist sehr umständlich. Auch sollte man den Gruppenblick in der Verfügbarkeitsübersicht sehen können. Zusätzlich sollten Reservierungen die zu einer Gruppen gehören einfach erkennbar sein in der Zeitachse bzw bei den Anreisen, also ohne, dass man in jede Buchung klicken muss und schauen muss, ob diese zu einer Gruppe gehört. Eine Filterung der Anreisen nach Gruppe wäre ebenfalls sinnvoll.

  19. When you put in a rate in Availability block the product rule that you have made should for the rate should follow. If I make a Availability block today and put in a rate the product rule for that rate doesn´t follow and I need to make a new product rule for every new block I do.

  20. When we upload a Group rooming list, at the moment even if all rooms are single rooms the uploaded names will land in the system as Companion. In this way we cannot see the names of the guests staying in the rooms when we look at the timeline for example. It will show the names that the group was picked up under and since we don't always have the rooming list by the time we actually pickup the rooms we use for instance the group name and all rooms will show the Group name as such.
