Merge bookings
Guests occasionally have a reservation under one booking, followed by another reservation under a different booking number (e.g if they've decided to add another night or have been staying for work and adding another day as a personal expense). Under the current system they need to check out and get their cards recut which isn't a great customer experience, we need to manually allocate the same room for both stays, inform Housekeeping not to clear the room and if they haven't paid in advance, we need to pay extra attention to their billing as it's split over multiple bookings.

Add a person to an already occupied unit
Persons arriving later to a unit than the already checked in people - cannot be added for only a part of the whole stay. Same with persons departing earlier than the other people of the same unit.

re-open a closed task
it would be good if you could update a task and re-instate it once closed. sometimes tasks have been closed but become relevant again at a later date and this would prevent having to create a new one, plus with updating the task description you have a better overview and history of what has happened with that particular booking in one click.

Close multiple tasks in a single action
Sometimes it may happen that multiple tasks are created e.g. when a group booking has been created but the credit card payment has failed. It takes quite some time to close each task individually. It would be beneficial to select multiple tasks and close them all together.

Add occupied status for the room
When a guest check-in the status of the room pass from inspected to dirty.

Plus and Minus complimentary items
When we want to give items complimentary to our guests it is a lot of work for FO to do this. You need to add and delete the item, but this shows very strange on the bill.
For example we offer turndown service with cognac and cheese. In order to have a complete picture for costs we need to add this on the bill and delete it again. It is a bit strange if you see 1 cognac in plus and 1 cognac in minus, the same for the cheeses. We also provide complimentary minibar so now we need to…

Tasks Doughnut to display only relevant tasks
Currently the tasks doughnut on the dashboard displays pending & missed tasks of all assignee's & departments which can make it very confusing.
Changing the doughnut to only show missed & pending tasks assigned to your or your department will make this doughnut more relevant. The tasks report should then also pre-load with the filters assigned to me or my department. I can then remove/change these filters if I want to see all or other departments/employees.

Notification of check out in the Mews app
Dear Mews Development Team,
Our Housekeeping team had a request/idea for the mobile application.
At the moment they have to refresh the application and look frequently whether a room has left.
Would it be possible to integrate a notification or pop up in the application that notifies them when the reception does a check out?

Daily housekeeping report
Dear Madam, dear Sir,
We are currentely unable to have a clear daily housekeeping report.
We need the following informations to be displayed in addition to the current informations.
State of the rooms : Free and clean / Departure / Stayover.
Today, we are unable to have these informations in our report, we have to check everyy room one by one to define the correct state, which can take us lot of time and effort.

Remove FINANCIAL access from Housekeeping users
Currently a user with only "Perform Housekeeping" rights can see a lot of financial reports!
I don't imagine the cleaning staff at Mews Headquarters are allowed to see the daily revenue, so why should they (or 3rd party cleaning contractors) have access to our hotel financial data?Posting Journal: Can be seen and has financial information about the daily/weekly/monthly/yearly revenue!
Payment Report: can be seen, has financial information. It can even see the cash going into the Cashier!
Accounting Ledger: can be seen and has financial information.
Bills and Invoices: Every invoice (anonymous) and its consumptions can be seen together…

Additional filters in reservation overview report
Filter by Segment for Reservations Overview Report:
This will allow us to easily exclude "long stays" from arrivals, departures, stayovers...
It will make housekeeping job easier, and will help to get a more accurate weekly forecast

voucher code analysis
We currently can only filter for used vouchers and are not able to filter for used voucher codes.
This forces us to create multiple vouchers in case we want to analyse certain cooperations.
If would be much more useful, if we could also filter the reservations report by "voucher codes" --> this would enable us to use e.g. one PROMO Code marketing voucher and give if various voucher codes.33 votes -
Improve the identification of the hotel we are logged in (when working on more than 1 hotel)
When managing different hotels, it is hard to see on which hotel you are logged in. Everything is Black/White. The only thing to differentiate is the small logo on the right corner. (As our logos are also B/W, you have to look carefully). If we could set the whole background in a specific colour, we could differentiate more easily and avoid mistakes... The aim is above all to identify more clearly on which hotel you are logged in. The colour is just an idea.

Availability in Rate Management
Right now in Rate Management screen, properties are able to see Occupancy in percentage. By implementing this idea, the number of available spaces will be displayed on the same screen.

Creating the same task for the whole group
We have a bunch of big groups coming which all have the same task set up, for different departments (e.g. housekeeping and reception). It would be great to be able to make the same task once for the whole group, instead of doing 30-40 tasks individually. The same would go for if we need to make the same task for multiply departments, it would make it easier to just choose the corresponding departments.
