  1. It is not possible to schedule reports into a PDF in de scheduled exports.
    When you can have it in PDF it's easier to review the reports for us.

  2. Currently we have several rooms with King beds that can be split into a Twin configuration. When the Housekeeping team "Clean" the room , it would be great to have an additional status option which they can choose to identify the current bed configuration - i.e. has the room been cleaned and reset to a "King" configuration or a "Twin" configuration. This would help greatly for Reservations staff when allocating rooms, as well as give clear guidance to Front Desk staff for walk-ins.

  3. Would be nice to be able to create rate restrictions on a specific space category (ex : minimum stay of 2 nights on the space category **) but that the general minimum stays restrictions of 4 nights on all properties still apply. It will help to do some revenue management A/B test without breaking the general restrictions or creating dozens of restrictions.
    Could be maybe managed :
    - by being able to select spaces categories by ticking some boxes (such as the 'Days' criteria works in restrictions, where you are able to select/deselect days in restrictions).

  4. Currently you can set "reservation assignment strategy" to manage how rooms are allocated to reservations (e.g. top down, bottom up etc.). This works well, except there are a couple of rooms that we would like to allocate as "last sell". i.e. all other rooms get allocated automatically according to the reservation assignment strategy, with the exception of certain room numbers, which would get allocated last if the hotel was to be fully occupied.

  5. As revenue managers, we sometimes need to change many dates in one go. Unfortunately, mistakes can be made that can lead to reservations with the wrong rate (a really low one).
    It surprised me to realise that MEWS did not have a way to set a minimum rate to be sent to the booking channels as SiteMinder does. We should be able to set the rate we do not want to sell cheaper than that year round. For instance, if we never sell our master rate for less than 59 Euro, it would be great that Mews would not allow…

  6. Can you make new "last minute" arrivals for today more visible on the arrivals list?

    • Arrivals made between yesterday 00:00 and today are not easy to see unless you check the reservation report, which is not user friendly in a fast pace environment.
    • Can they be marked in the system with a symbol or color or notification (or in any other way) for us to be notified on the day?

  9. When a guest check-in the status of the room pass from inspected to dirty.
    I think it will be better to put the room inspected to occupied or occupied dirty.

  10. Currently you can book adults or children into a space. However, particularly in hostels, some rooms aren't suitable for children. eg. you shouldn't be allowed to book a 10 year old into our 28 bed dorm on their own.

  11. Rather than having all restrictions based on rates, a new management screen could be introduced for general restrictions. From here, Mewsers could create independent restrictions and then apply them to rates or rate groups as necessary.

  12. Dear Team,

    This function work super for a Breakfast List as an overview.

    May I recommend:

    1) We are able to print this report for our Kitchen Team as well for our Breakfast Team. They unfortunately do not use MEWS.
    2) Would there be an option to add the Guests "Customer Notes" there we add under the F&B Notes, if the Guest if allergic to anything for example.

  14. When a payment is successful, than the guest receives an e-mail to inform him. Many of them than request the invoice for that amount. Please also send the concerning invoice with the e-mail together.

  15. Sometimes rooms are added to a group that do not appear to belong together, or an error occurs and a room is added to a group.

    It would be practical if you could remove rooms from a group. Currently, this is not possible.

  16. Currently when modifying reservations, MEWS does not respect restrictions being in place.

    Ideally we would get a pop up in case, we modify a reservation that does not comply with the restrictions in place. So we can choose to except the modification that does not match sales strategy.

  17. it would be good if you could update a task and re-instate it once closed. sometimes tasks have been closed but become relevant again at a later date and this would prevent having to create a new one, plus with updating the task description you have a better overview and history of what has happened with that particular booking in one click.

  19. At the moment, online checked-in reservations are only visible on the day of arrival. In statistics you can find the amount of online check-ins in the past and future however, it is not possible to click through and see the specific guest/reservation the online check-in belongs to. Past of future reservations only show a grey 'manage' button.

  20. We currently can only filter for used vouchers and are not able to filter for used voucher codes.
    This forces us to create multiple vouchers in case we want to analyse certain cooperations.
    If would be much more useful, if we could also filter the reservations report by "voucher codes" --> this would enable us to use e.g. one PROMO Code marketing voucher and give if various voucher codes.
