Warning when room will go on to the red line
When a reservation is made or changed and the system does not assign a room to it and it is going to drop in to the red line - there should be a warning that pops up to let us know this is happening so that it can be rectified straight away.

Make the old availability report available too
The old occupancy report is still available but not the previous availability report.
We used this report daily to modify the distribution between room types (mainly for internet channels to increase available single rooms and decrease double). It was easy to read, to modify and with a clear view on several future days.
The new report doesn’t give a direct view on number of rooms available for each room category. The table is also less convenient when it comes to change these rooms allocations (several sub-menus whereas the access was easier before).

Thank you for sharing your feedback with us regarding the new availability and occupancy report.
We currently provide the option to swap back to the old Availability and Occupancy report, by selecting the button on the top right hand side of the new report labelled "Old Occupancy report. Selecting this button will switch you back to the old Occupancy report as requested. Once you are able to view the old Occupancy report, select the Availability under “Mode” filter.
We have updated your request title to solve for comparing availability by room type over a long period. This request has been updated as one to be upvoted by the Mews Community.

Ageing / Debtors Report for Accounting Ledger
Using the accounting ledger, accountants can view any outstanding bills or payments that must be collected. However, as these are connected to guest profiles, this does not help to identify debts for company or travel agencies, which are not as easily available in Mews. By adding an additional mode to our accounting ledger, you could easily view all outstanding invoices sorted by the company to which it was issued. Additionally, this would show how long each payment has been overdue and how much each company owes.

When making a booking and we need to select a date; could we get the dates on the calendar highlighted to let us know something important is happening on this date, i.e bank holiday, special event, wedding, or any restrictions. As when making a booking on Mews, we don't always use the calendar therefor we can miss if there is something important happening on that date.

Add multiple rate codes in one reservation
It would be nice, if it was possible to add multiple rate codes in one reservation. For example if there is a reservation for 4 nights. The first and the last night booked at the best available rate, however the second and third night is booked at the corporate's contract rate. Now, we need to make three separate reservations. If it would be possible to add multiple rate codes in a reservation, this would make this much easier.

Guest Segment Reporting by State/Province
This idea is about extending guest segmentation in Manager Analytics.
The North American market needs to be able to report not only by country but also by state/province/city.
This will allow for greater insight into which markets produce and allow for more targeted marketing to a specific region.
This takes into consideration the regional differences such as holidays.

Rate History
Display the final value for the fully flex rate in the rate management calender instead of changing everything back to the base rate after 2 weeks. Allows us to track the ratemanagement history

Smart detection of tasks
So we have tasks and we can filter them out with departments. But I think it would be a nice touch, when you are going to tasks, it would predict department you are assigned to, and will show this by default, without filtering it out.

When blocking rooms with "house-use" function, it would be great to have the function to select more rooms at the same time. Now we have to create single blocks and it takes long time.

Identical Copy of a Reservation
Often it happens that some guests would like to add more identical bookings, just under a different name, if they are part of a group. I am aware there is already a tool to make a duplicate from Mews, however, the information copied are not sufficient and should also include manually entered rates. I have already provided this information to Mews Premium, who informed us that it's not possible and they requested to add the idea on this feedback form.

Charge, Close and Check out
When in the billing screen of a reservation that is due out. It would be nice to have an option to Charge, Close and Check out.
This would prevent us from having to go back into the reservation status and check out the room manually

multiple task setting - templates
In a previous system we were able to set up templates for a task which consisted of multiple individual tasks.
For example if a guest had requested an extra bed, reservations would add one task to the booking which in turn triggered the tasks for housekeeping to set up the bed as well as remove it on departure).
This was SO handy as it avoided mistakes and reception / reservations only had to add 1 task.
Of course this works particularly well if you are able to link tasks to a specific event in the reservation like arrival and departure…29 votesHello Simone

Giving employees access to Mews systems via a Single Sign On System
Not only to make it easier for employees but also to prevent people from having multiple usernames and passwords so that when someone is terminated, the access to all systems can easily be removed.

Round up the price
When you manage rates and all rules in PMS, you could not round up your final price. For exemple, special offer to 10% OFF, the final price will be $101.52 instead of $102.

Open balance visible in reservation details
Properties would like to have a tick or symbol in the reservation details (reservation overview and timeline) to give an indication if a reservation has been paid for already. For now, clients have to click a few times to consult the billing screen and verify if an arriving/departing customer still has an open balance. E.g. it would make the check-ins even more quick.
