  1. In addition to fixed price adjustment, many properties would prefer to use a relative adjustment field, which would be used to adjust prices based on extra or empty beds. This setting could allow revenue managers more flexibility as they decide on pricing for each space or space category, particularly in case the number of guests does not exactly match the number of beds in the chosen space type.

  2. It should be possible to book TIP or expenses.
    Currently, Mews does not recognise this booking type, which means that we have to calculate everything manually and book via detours. This harbours great potential for error.

    Expense postings must be deducted directly from the cash register contents.
    Expenses should therefore not appear in the sales figures.

  3. Is it possible to make an 'add' option to a confirmation? As an example, people who book a specific room (no room type) and don't see that reflected on the confirmation. You can't mention this anywhere yourself on a confirmation. Examples such as a specific room number, beds apart or room at the front.

  4. Currently rooms have to be either:

    1) Dirty
    2) Clean
    3) Inspected
    4) Out of Service
    5) Out of Order

    However, some rooms may be Out of Service for a 'last let' reason and therefore may be Inspected and ready to go (but the team want to be aware that these rooms should only be used last). I think Out of Service and Out of Order should be separate room statuses and can be stackable with the clean state of the room.

  5. Manager Analytics currently shows YoY comparison only on a monthly basis (this year's revenue vs last year's revenue).

    Properties need a more granular report where YoY comparison will consist of individual dates.

    Hoteliers want to see what the ADR, occupancy and revenue was last year vs this year (Jan 1st 2023 vs Jan 1st 2022, Jan 2nd 2023 vs Jan 2nd 2022). Include also the day of the week next to the date so that it's clear whether the date was a weekend or a weekday.

    Having a report with this comparison would help hoteliers improve their revenue strategy.

  6. It would be really great if we could quickly add notes to a booking from the timeline, in the side panel that opens when you click on a reservation.

    Now, to add a note you have to click once to view the details, once on Manage, then in Properties and scroll down to add notes.

  7. Option to minimalize a reservation (for example keep it in the right bottom of the timeline). It could allow you to continue with other tasks and than later on get back to the reservation/booking that you were working on. It could also be a reminder for yourself that you need to follow up on that certain reservation.

  8. Instead of overbooking, we use Inquired Reservations as a waiting list to optimise occupancy. It'd be great to get notified when a reservation is cancelled that there are inquired reservations for that date which can potentially now be confirmed.

  9. It would be convenient to receive a notification if the occupancy reaches a certain percentage on a certain day. (e.g. if 60% OCC is reached on a certain day, you receive an email to notify you).

  10. If we make an optional reservation for our guests and send them our offer. The guests confirm the reservations through the link but the responsible employee/department do not get any information or notification, so it is problematic to keep track of these bookings. It would be great to get atleast a pop up notification if the guests confirm there reservations. This information is essential for internal planning for almost every property.

  11. good example to state my feature request:

    Some of our hotels offer breakfast as optional service. The customers add it when placing a reservation in the booking engine. The "breakfast during your stay" product is calculating the amount of persons and the amount of nights. We have the correct information that the booking is placed with 2 adults and 1 kid. The price of the breakfast for a kid is cheaper, so it could be interesting if you can add two prices in one product: a price for an adult and a price for a kid.

  12. When the reception checks-out a reservation it would be nice to notify the housekeeping department so they can inform their teams.

  13. Hotel and Hostel chains wish to see the complete history of items the guest has purchased across the chain. Implement a dashboard where you can see the total revenue one customer has generated so we can reward our most high valued guests.

  14. Would be great if the system could automatically upgrade certain reservations to a higher room category under certain availability circumstance (that could be defined and edited).

    ie: If lesser room category is at 100% occupancy, the system would automatically upgrade some reservation to the higher room category, freeing up the lower category to be sold again.

  15. iDEAL Payment request
    It is also possible to send a business iDEAL Payment Request to your customers. You can do this by sending a link via various channels, including e-mail, SMS or WhatsApp. For example, the iDEAL Payment Request is used to let customers pay afterwards, to pay for digital invoices or to settle (monthly) subscription fees. Research has even shown that a digital invoice that contains a link for an iDEAL payment is paid on average three times as fast.

  16. Making a refund in Mews is easy and quick, however, when leaving notes as reason for refund, internal information that mean to be shared only with staff, it shows on the bills or invoice, leaving a very unprofessional image. Guests should not see what we write as notes.

  17. Booking number should be in all reports - Accounting ledger report and paymentreport, It is much easyer to remember at number instead of the spelling of a name.
    and it would be very usefull if you need to merge 2 reports

  18. We are desperately in need of a report that can show us our daily production by market segment. We should be able to extract a report to excel and manipulate the data to have a clear idea of what we are picking up for what dates and via what segment. This is a crucial part of any hotel who is looking to increase their revenues and mews is one of the few PMS systems i have ever worked with that does not have this basic report. All of the data is logged there and so why is there nothing we…

  19. As there may be many tasks created for your property, they can be difficult to keep track of when managing many aspects of your operations. For this reason, passing task deadlines should generate a notification for the task creator or any department members to which the task is assigned. After being sent, these pending notifications would only be dismissed when the task is fully completed. This implemented feature could help all members of your team stay more on schedule and would encourage task completion in line with all assigned deadlines.

  20. "In case a guest would like to be assigned a different room for their stay, it is easily changeable through the State tab of the reservation module. Using the assign drop-down, all rooms are visible. However, to improve the user experience, this list of spaces could be reduced to display only inspected and vacant rooms, making alternate space selection faster and easier."
