Property Operations and PMS: this is the forum for posting your ideas and comments on all aspects of hotel operations, from reservations to events to metrics and reports.   1. The notifications window and the information "order created"is a bit pointless since it doesn't show any more information. In order to find out what order was created you have to click on order created and you will be send to the reservation. It would make more sense to at least show a booking umber or name in the notifications window next to order created.

  2. To avoid hotel staff from taking credit card details over the phone some hotels are creating optional bookings for guests and asking the guest to complete their Navigator profile in order to obtain the guests' credit card details securely. After payment details are supplied the staff are then have to manually change the status of the reservation to confirmed and process payments.

    It would beneficial if when a guest completed their profile set up for their optional booking that the status would automatically change to confirmed straight away and any payment automation that it set up is triggered automatically.

  3. The reserved space for a hotel logo is very narrow. A wide and narrow hotel logo is therefore very small and unattractive. To avoid the need to adapt the hotel logo (corporate identity), I wish that the design of the header on the guest invoices is much more flexible and that it is possible to display a wide logo in a suitable way.

  4. When charging an extra guest, MEWS should allow percentage based on the daily rate.
    Right now, MEWS only allows to add a flat rate and this limit our capacity of getting more incomes.

  5. To choose between the options "check out balanced bills" and "check out with unbalanced bill" you have to set the check mark. As the check marks will be set by clickling somewhere in the whole line, it's very easy to set the wrong check mark by accident. The check mark should be set only by clickling directly on the check mark box.

  6. Now, it is impossible to print or send a proforma if booking is not confirmed
    To send a proforma for optional booking we have to confirm the reservation then delete it and re-create the booking as optional.
    Please make it possible, so we can send a proforma invoice as a quotation with an option date for confirmation

  7. To verify with guest if this is the right card to be charged, show the last digits of the CC on the side of the CC Type Icon near "Charge and Close". This would avoid mistakes and this is also a LQA Standard (Leading Quality Assurance), which is one of the highest and most used hospitality standards.

  8. When writing a rooming list for a group sometimes due some unknown reson one name in the group is seen on timeline in every single room. That cannot be changed back to be the group name we originally had. Plase give us a way to have a group name for a group, to enter client names to the rooms without messing up the group name. Please give us way to see the number of rooms in a group and how many in different room types. Please give us a way to correct items in a group, like change the date…

  9. Il pourrait être très pratique de pouvoir nommer les différentes factures d'un même clients.
    En effet certains clients peuvent vouloir une facture Extras séparée de l'hébergement, ou même dans le cas de délégation, pouvoir créer des factures afin de spliter les charges, sans avoir à rentrer dans chaque facture pour savoir ce qu'on y met dedans, et voir d'un seul coup d’œil quelle facture correspond à quelle type de charge.

  10. Split an existing restriction into 2 or copy.
    When I have a restriction on overall level for a whole year and I temporary need to remove that for 1 date (for example to make a group reservation) it would be useful to be able to split the existing restriction in 2 or simply make a copy and alter the dates.

  12. Add possibility to restrict particular room numbers (best multiple), this tool would solve lack of allotment administration in Mews. Creating restriction per specifc rooms with maximum advance following release period and per specific rate plan following partners with allotment could work enough.

  13. When a guest books, status inspected should be the preferable choice, then dirty, out of service. That inspected room would be already ready for check-in, whether the out of service room isn't yet.

  18. It is compulsory to be able to apply different rates and the same reservation for each day, otherwise it is not possible to have a correct report with the right ADR each day. I have thought that this would be possible on MEWS. I am a little suprise that this is not possible.

  19. Hello. When we have a late check out booking could the color of the reservation change? so whoever is using the system can see that there are people checing out later.

  20. We need that in a reservation from an specific travel agency all its charges automatically goes to the company bill (or the paymaster of this company), so the balance in the guest account is 0. Some travel agencies charges themselves to the guest and manually we have to move the charges to the company bill or the paymaster of this company, so it does not allow to work with properties with reduced staff and automatic kiosk check-in (as the balance of the guest will not be 0, but the the guest has already payed to the travel agency)

    We’re building a feature that lets you automatically redirect products from guest bills to company bills. This will not support routing to a paymaster profile yet, but it may already help you.
