    Currently hotels have fixed slots for check-in and check-out times. Obviously guests can sometimes make use of early check-in or late check-out services at an extra cost. So far this has been the smartest and most flexible way of managing the demand for different arrival and departure times. This requires a lot of manual interference from front desk teams, who need to manage the inventory, add additional items on the bill and have to manually approve or reject the early check-in or late departure.

  2. It would be SO useful if any group reservation that has been split into different rooms could be signalled on the timeline either by a symbol (such as the current upgraded, female traveller and return guest symbols) or by an on-screen prompt that notifies you that they are currently in separate rooms.

  4. If the automatic settlement fails for one reservations for whatever reason, it would be great to have an automatic posting of cancellation fee on the billing.

  6. Automatic availability rules that help hotels manage inventory more efficiently and prevent overselling—without requiring constant manual updates.


    What Problem Does This Solve?

    Right now, hotels must manually monitor room availability and apply restrictions (like closing rates or adding minimum length of stay).

    This can lead to:

    • Overselling during high‑demand periods
    • Losing control of the total hotel inventory
    • Last‑minute rate changes
    • Extra workload for revenue and front‑office teams

    We’d like Mews to offer automatic rules that trigger when availability reaches certain thresholds.

  7. When someone books more than one room online (no matter form which channel) it would be great if mews can merge the reservations together as a group to have a more clear overview that it is several rooms booked.

  8. Whenever you create a block, Mews makes a "virtual rate code" for the group block. This becomes a nightmare when collecting rate code data from Mews API. Especially when ONLY American English is auto-generated for short name. Default language is based on user, not property so if one user has something else than American English, then the rate code name in database becomes blank. it should auto generate in american english short name no matter what language user uses.

  9. To effectively utilize the Availability Blocks section, we need the ability to pick up rooms from a block that has an optional booking status. We often work with call-in allocations, where clients reserve a set number of rooms (e.g., 50) for their participants. As participants book rooms, the booking status changes to "confirmed" once a room is booked for an individual.

  10. In the list of rates, we see
    Name, Base rate, Type (private or public), Short name, External name, Enabled, Default.
    It would be nice to have at least one extra column, to visualise the adjustment (absolute or relative) from the base rate. When there's a lot of rates to setup and check it can be time consuming to do those 3 clicks (rate, pricing, adjustment).

  11. Currently when a rate is setup as based upon another rate (base rate) it is only possible to setup one fixed adjustment. However, since we offer rates with and without breakfast, occupancy based adjustments need to be different between rates with and without breakfast (for example).

    Wouldn’t a setup option be nice that allows to not derive all room / occupancy prices from the base rate, but only derive the base rate by a certain adjustment and setup the occupancy adjustments and room type adjustments.

    So like:

    Base rate: xyz-Rate (← the one the new rate is derived from)

  12. Today we only have 2 searchable options for companies. It is the name and the External Identifier.

    It would be great if we have more fields to search for in the searchbar i.e. phone number / e-mail address / fiscal information.

    When the company profile is getting more and more attention with company billing and such it would be easy to implement a couple of more fields so it will be easier to get to the profiles.

  14. At the moment cancellation Policy for products on a rate group is determined by that products way it is consumed, so say for instance I want to charge the guest for only the first night room tax and breakfast, the breakfast still gets charged for every day of the stay if it is defined to be consumed nightly. this leads to much manual work for frontdesk to be able to charge the cancellation fee correctly.
    A way for the products to be charged a cancellation fee "individually" according to that specific rate group seems the way to adjust this.

  15. For reporting purposes and data analysis, it would be good to have the possibility to chose whether or not we want to incl/excl OOO rooms. At the moment, MEWS deducts this automatically

  16. To be able to create a combined/if restriction.
    As an example: For a full refund of the nightly rate, the guest must cancel within 48 hours of the creation of the booking AND at least 14 full days prior to the start date of the booking.
    At the moment, it is only possible to have either one of the two cancellation policies.

  17. It would be easy to select multiple reservation when checking-in or changing room number. For instance, if you have multiple rooms in a basic category and you want to give them all an upgrade (however separate reservations), it would be nice to have an easy way to select them all and drag to a different category. Moreover, When checking in rooms who are not merged together, however do arrive together, it would be easy if you could all check them in at once.

  18. It would be great that we could set a ring/bell signal for some urgent tasks, like for: Late check out, wake-up call, any other urgent task. So you hear that something urgent needs to be done, also when you do not look at the desktop screen.

  19. The PMS should have the option to add in the invoice more information needed by the accountancy department. We need to appear the name of the travel agency or the name of the apartment on the top right hand side of the invoice where it's shown the guest name, company, issue date, etc... but we don't have that facility.

  20. To avoid hotel staff from taking credit card details over the phone some hotels are creating optional bookings for guests and asking the guest to complete their Navigator profile in order to obtain the guests' credit card details securely. After payment details are supplied the staff are then have to manually change the status of the reservation to confirmed and process payments.

    It would beneficial if when a guest completed their profile set up for their optional booking that the status would automatically change to confirmed straight away and any payment automation that it set up is triggered automatically.
