Property Operations and PMS: this is the forum for posting your ideas and comments on all aspects of hotel operations, from reservations to events to metrics and reports. You'll find a category here for each of the major topics in property management, and if you can't find the right category, please search or post to the Other category. Where we can, we'll move ideas around to group them as intuitively as possible for the product managers working on the PMS.

  1. In the date filters, latest date remains in the past after earliest date has been set in the future.

    To prevent additional manual work:
    MEWS should automatically change the calendar date to a date later than the check-in date selected. For example, check in date 1/1/2021, check out date should default to 2/1/2021 (and not remain to todays date).

  2. When filter for Cancelled reservations in the reservation report, the status cancelled should be ticked when looking for cancelled reservations.

  3. Bills & Invoices has an option to search for company's open bills, but sometimes I wish I could exclude a company from the current list of open invoices view. For example, we know that Booking.com send us the money for the open bills, so excluding those invoices would help to have a better overview of the actual invoices.

  4. Wenn eine neune Reservierung angelegt wird, inklusive der korrekten Firma / Firmierung , dann wäre es super wenn diese Firmierung / Firma sofort im Rechnungsbildschirm auf einer Rechnung auftaucht. Aktuell muss man immer die Firma manuell auf der Rechnung eintragen obwohl man diese bereits bei der Buchung hinterlegt hat. Es wäre schön, wenn das automatisch geschieht! Danke!


    If a new reservation is created, including the correct company / company name, then it would be great if this company name / company immediately appears in the invoice screen on an invoice. Currently you always have to enter the company manually on…

  5. At the moment in order to put a room out of order, you need first to reallocate all the reservations assigned to that particular space. It can take a lot of time, specially if it is a long period.
    It would be nice if Mews could automatically reassign those reservations to another space.

  6. It would be great if there would be the option to add 'House use' on a recurring basis. (For example to block one room for a weekend each month, to make sure to have availability for VIP guests etc).

  7. In the summary screen of the voucher menu you only show the Name, Company, Travel Agent. We would like you to add in Rate Code and Expire Date in the overview. As its end of the year we now need to click into every voucher code to check if the voucher is still valid or not. We need a better overview on the created vouchers.

  8. When adding house use in the timeline the assigned (short) names are not visible but only room numbers. It is impossible to differentiatie between the space categories when the room numbers are identical.

  9. Guests have the opportunity to change the reservation status from optional to confirmed in Mews guest services portal (former Navigator). It would be great if a task could be triggered to notify staff in the hotel that a reservation status change has occured.

  10. In order to facilitate the check out and payment, it would be easier if the Rate name was displayed next to the amount. This way the Receptionist can easily state what type of stay occurred and apply his SOPs accordingly.

  11. I would like to see what my pickup was at a specific reservation creation time not just date. This allows me to see what was on the books yesterday rather than just today.

  12. A way to only use the Optimize Space Allocation on a selection or Rooms. Specific room types or a selection of any. Locking and unlocking half of the rooms which can't be moved multiple times a week is quite a hassle.

  13. On the reservation screen, if the reservation is not saved (guests changed his mind for a reason) I want to be able to enter a turnaway reason: Price too high, room type not available...

  15. This idea is about extending guest segmentation in Manager Analytics.

    The North American market needs to be able to report not only by country but also by state/province/city.

    This will allow for greater insight into which markets produce and allow for more targeted marketing to a specific region.

    This takes into consideration the regional differences such as holidays.

  17. By clicking on billing now, you get to the new version.
    Please bring the old billing back and open maybe another button for the new billing. The gerenal one should be the old.

  18. If only the reservation manager has access to the Rate Management in Mews, then when employees are changing the rate of the booking, they will not be able to know what was the original price of the rate. They will only see from the action log the original rate and not the original price.

  19. Add an option in settings to set the Billing screen standard to the 'Old Billing Screen' or the new 'Group Billing Screen'. That way, if the original billing screen is prefered you do not have to change the screen manually everytime.
