Where we can, we'll move ideas around to group them as intuitively as possible for the product managers working on the PMS.

  1. At the moment in order to put a room out of order, you need first to reallocate all the reservations assigned to that particular space. It can take a lot of time, specially if it is a long period.
    It would be nice if Mews could automatically reassign those reservations to another space.

  2. It would be great if there would be the option to add 'House use' on a recurring basis. (For example to block one room for a weekend each month, to make sure to have availability for VIP guests etc).

  3. In the summary screen of the voucher menu you only show the Name, Company, Travel Agent. We would like you to add in Rate Code and Expire Date in the overview. As its end of the year we now need to click into every voucher code to check if the voucher is still valid or not. We need a better overview on the created vouchers.

  4. When adding house use in the timeline the assigned (short) names are not visible but only room numbers. It is impossible to differentiatie between the space categories when the room numbers are identical.

  5. Guests have the opportunity to change the reservation status from optional to confirmed in Mews guest services portal (former Navigator). It would be great if a task could be triggered to notify staff in the hotel that a reservation status change has occured.

  6. In order to facilitate the check out and payment, it would be easier if the Rate name was displayed next to the amount. This way the Receptionist can easily state what type of stay occurred and apply his SOPs accordingly.

  8. A way to only use the Optimize Space Allocation on a selection or Rooms. Specific room types or a selection of any. Locking and unlocking half of the rooms which can't be moved multiple times a week is quite a hassle.

  9. On the reservation screen, if the reservation is not saved (guests changed his mind for a reason) I want to be able to enter a turnaway reason: Price too high, room type not available...

  11. If only the reservation manager has access to the Rate Management in Mews, then when employees are changing the rate of the booking, they will not be able to know what was the original price of the rate. They will only see from the action log the original rate and not the original price.

  13. On the Reservation dashboard all invoices are listed. For invoices it would be great if the amount issues can be shown on the bill section. At the moment we need to write them in the notes.
    Additionally it would be great if we can have a button to extract all postings for this reservations. When invoices have been corrected, its very hard to see what happens on every single day of consumption. At the moment we need to export the accounting report for every single day and bring them all together to get a full understanding what postings have been…

  14. I would love to see a standalone version of mews that doesn't run on a browser.

    This would have two key benefits:

    • much faster loading times. We suffer from incredibly slow operating speeds all through mews, every time we press a button it has to spend time loading, which in cue means customers have to wait longer. creating terrible customer experience.

    • ability to have an offline mode. We also suffer not only from occasional mews outages, due to slow/unresponsive actions - but also bad internet where we are, which can often be very temperamental and drop out often during adverse…

  15. Hi I believe a report that shows all traces by room number would be very helpful for our daily operations. We have plenty of HSKneeds for individual rooms and we need a report that has all the information by room number. E.g. room 205 is allergic to feather, room 206 wants romantic turndown service and room 320 wants service everyday at noon.

    A report that contains guests name, arrival/departure dates and all necessary information described above would help a lot. It would nice to be able to print it for a range of rooms too so that you can give…

    I would like to suggest the following set-up, as major PMS systems uses.
    This is more financial point of view within Mews system, so just to give you an idea how it should work, I can explain the following:
    Financial Process: Upon arranging contracts for travel agencies or companies we are following these steps as standard (Off line)
    1. Mutual signed contract agreement between the property and the Travel agency or company.

  17. Currently the favicons in the browser tabs look the same for these two sites, which makes navigating between multiple tabs longer than it should (say you have 2 help pages open and 2 MEWS tabs - jumping between them can be tedious since the tab (fav)icons are the same.

  20. Occupancy overview in dashboard only 7 days ahead, while need is there to have similar overview for 14 days, this makes planning staff for Restaurants, Housekeeping much easier. If you click on Occupancy then the data comes out, completely different. The overview for 14 days, would be a great asset and make life easier.
