  1. Sometimes clients book 2 consecutive nights through 2 different means. It would help the communication with housekeeping if the reception was able to "link" the 2 reservations together so it is clear that the same person stays in the room. Additionally, it would be helpful to have an automatic detection of this kind of things, like a notification warning us that a reservation has been made with a similar name a day before or after.

  2. It would be good to have an history of name changes in guest profiles. It would also be very useful if we could find profiles even when searching for the old name in the search bar. That way we could find a reservation using an original email from the client, evenif the name in the reservation changed.

    We would like to be able to turn off the sound when a notification comes in.
    when we are talking to guests, it is very annoying when we hear a 'ping' in our ear all the time.
    if it is also possible to turn off the notifications completely, that would be great.

  4. Being able to create Master and sub-blocks within availability blocks. Scenario: Conference blocks - representatives from different companies/company entities attending which need to be billed separately.

  5. When guest make reservations via booking.com, expedia... most of the time we only receive a telephone number or address. The e-mail address is in 99% of the cases one generated by the OTA to mask the guests email. Therefore it would be very convenient if Mews would merge profiles based on other similarities as well. This would make it easier to identify guests who have already stayed with us previously.

  6. If we have to cancel an invoice, there should be an option to keep the products for the new invoice and not have to re-enter all the items. It happens so often that the guest calls and the invoice needs to be made out to the company after all and you have to re-enter everything. This needs too much time!!

  7. Dear Mews team, kindly note that the OLD AVAILABILITY screen is VERY ESSENTIAL for day to day work.
    The NEW availability & occupancy report does not show the whole picture of the property at a glance.
    It is very important to have the availability screen back as it is time consuming to get to the button "Old Occupancy Report" and then change mode from Occupancy to Availability.
    This is life necessary screen to have, so please never dispose this button and if possible, please bring it back to the main menu page.

  8. the update overview on Mews is great, but could it please be possible to add a delete button once you have read the update. that way you know exactly which ones you still need to familiarise yourself with and don't end up with a list 500km long!

  9. We need to be able to create multiple confirmations regarding, example: a confirmation for group reservations with other conditions than a reservation for only one room. This is a highly requested feature for the ability to send correct conditions regarding the reservations!

  10. It seems like Mews' operations reports are really horrible (in-house report, house status report, and other such reporting).

    Please advise if there is any plan to produce nice printable reports or even better email friendly reports. I see the Mews commander app > Spaces can provide this info but neither the app nor the web version nor the PDF printouts are visually appealing for operations reports. This needs to be addressed.

  11. i have set up new products with a zero rate as we need to be able to manual add the correct one each time. however, when coming to posting the product, it won't let us change the amount from zero.
    is this an error on the system?
    previously set products like this are still able to be manually have the amount changed

  12. Currently to check in a guest, You have to navigate too many screens between payment, guest info, and check in. Instead when you click check in, MEWS should automatically prompt the guest info then payment instead of having to navigate multiple tabs.

  13. The old occupancy report is still available but not the previous availability report.

    We used this report daily to modify the distribution between room types (mainly for internet channels to increase available single rooms and decrease double). It was easy to read, to modify and with a clear view on several future days.

    The new report doesn’t give a direct view on number of rooms available for each room category. The table is also less convenient when it comes to change these rooms allocations (several sub-menus whereas the access was easier before).

    Hello from the Mews product team,

    Thank you for sharing your feedback with us regarding the new availability and occupancy report.

    We currently provide the option to swap back to the old Availability and Occupancy report, by selecting the button on the top right hand side of the new report labelled "Old Occupancy report. Selecting this button will switch you back to the old Occupancy report as requested. Once you are able to view the old Occupancy report, select the Availability under “Mode” filter.

    We have updated your request title to solve for comparing availability by room type over a long period. This request has been updated as one to be upvoted by the Mews Community.

  14. Currently daily rate is not amendable once the bookings are created, with a status OPTION (not confirmed). We used to have it but not anymore.
    Also, we can never change room allocation if the booking is an option.

  16. Please include in the action log, if an email has been sent to the guest via Mews ie. confirmation, quotation, cancellation etc.

    Now that we have to manually send confirmation emails, it would be greatly beneficial to be able to check if this has been done.

Guest Credit Limit report to mitigate the risk of potential for bad debt write offs in the event of a client dispute and of being unable to recover monies owing, resulting in bad debt write-offs. Allows for a a daily review and follow up with guests when balance above hotel's limit. Ensure no guest ledger folios with cash status and debit balance outstanding.

  20. The room number tab column in the rooming list should be customisable as we have many operational issues with the room numbers appearing on it and clients expecting to have those rooms when they check in. We should be able to remove this column if not relevant.
