  1. To improve the speed of room assignment by housekeeper, it would be good to have the ability to drag and drop specific rooms under each housekeeper on a daily basis similar to what we do with Timeline. You could quickly see which rooms are unassigned and drag the room under each housekeeper to complete their board for the day. If room credits are used, each room that is dragged under a housekeeper deducts from the total credits assigned for the day.

  2. It would be good if we could assign room credits for rooms to help the assignment process. Example, smaller rooms would get .75, standard rooms 1.0 and suites 1.5. Thereby, if each housekeeper could clean 12 credits daily, the system could calculate each room by value and assign accordingly. Additionally, stayovers would receive .25 credit against assignment as they take only 20 minutes to touchup versus a full clean would receive +.25 as they take longer to clean as determined by the property. Using this method would improve productivity and room assignment.

  3. In the Space Status Screen filters, we would like the ability to select a group of filters rather than the selection that is offered. We need our housekeepers to be able to check Departed, Departing, Out of Order and Out of Service Daily. We do this now by creating separate reports, manually writing down the room numbers and adding them on a separate sheet. It would be good to be able to select multiple filters to better handle room assignments and room checks on a daily basis.

Currently in Mews, if you assign filtered spaces in the room assignment screen example Dirty, first floor, then select the housekeeper and select all rooms, the complete list of rooms of the first floor appears. You select the rooms you with to assign to this housekeeper, click Assign. Then you want to assign the next Housekeeper to the remaining rooms and follow the same process. However, when you choose spaces, the complete list of spaces (example Dirty, first floor) reappears and you have to remember which rooms you have already assigned or you may accidentally override the assignments already given.…

  5. In the Housekeeping App when a reservation has Arrived, the space turns to Dirty / Arrived and the time of arrival. We currently have reservations "Arrived" or "Arriving", but not an "Occupied" state for Housekeeping. This can be confusing for some housekeepers using the housekeeping app as the Arrived and Arriving look very similar. For most properties, if you have arrived, you are now "occupying" the space and therefore the space is now Dirty / Occupied. Possibly the tag for Arrived could be expanded to say Arrived / Occupied in a different color. The following day if the guest is…

  6. Currently, you are not able to put the Space out of order form the Mews Housekeeping App. You are able to change the status from Dirty to Clean to Inspected to Out of Service but not Out of Order. We would like the ability to put rooms Out of Order with a reason from the Housekeeping App.

  7. It would be helpful to assign Housekeeping from a single space status screen versus room assignment screen. The drop down could show all available housekeeping and you could assign one or two directly onto this screen. Today, you have to use the assignment tool with has filters and is a bit awkward as you need to filter than assign a housekeeper then rooms. When you select and second housekeeper the same rooms show up as the first and you have to remember you have assigned them. Also, for some hotels, stayovers are assigned 20 minutes and full cleans are assigned…

  8. Separate out the option of Deleting Products from the current workplace privileges rights of Create and Manage Products, in our eyes the ability to delete a product should only be associated with select employees, but creating and updating products should be something more individuals should have access to, but we don’t want them all to be able to delete things.

  9. When selecting a room on the timeline and seeing the Details pane on the right side of the screen. Mews displays whether the guest has "checked-in online" or if they are "to be checked-in", however doesn't show the status of the room ie. CLE, DIR or INS.
    Would be beneficial to see if the room is clean or not to enable a faster and more pleasant check-in experience for the guest.
    A simple icon (similar to the one on the "Room Status" section) would be incredibly helpful.

  10. We close the Hotel for Christmas. I want toclose all my rooms for 3 days. But in Mews it's just possible to do that room by room. Why I don't can choose the rooms in a list. Now I make a reservation with 0 Euro for the whole Hotel. But in the statistics, it will appear as we was selling the rooms, even if the price is 0.

    The same when a client is changing to another room, you have to deparate the rooms ) but just when the client is allready check in, before i's not possible to separate…

  11. When checking in a guest in Mews it is not immediately apparent if their is a Payment Card on file unless you select the "Payment" button to see if one is present which is an extra click. If it is already there, it was a wasted click. If the card is not there, then you will need to enter the Payment Card. It would be good to see if a credit card is present or not in the reservation screen before you touch the "Check-in" button. Additionally, if there is no credit card or preauthorization on the card if Mews…

  12. I shouldn't have to create a separate adjustments account for each type of adjustment. If a night has already closed, and then the rate needed to be adjusted by a supervisor because of an error, then their adjustment should be just a Rate Adjustment - automatically contributing to room revenue. I shouldn't have to use the billing tab to then manually calculate rate vs tax breakdown, and post a separate "unbookable service" etc.

    Also, refunds / adjustments should be able to be posted to the specific reservations even if they are closed out already. It should be possible to open…

  13. It would be really helpful if, on the billing tab, you can include the rate vs tax breakdown when we expand a billing item. It is causing our staff to be confused when posting adjustments and we are, as a result, paying close to $1000 in taxes more than what we collect for most of our properties.

  14. When you make a new reservation with a returning guest profile there comes a pop-up with important details about the guest.
    Just a note screan that we can fill in, about room numbers they prefer, if they have a dog, that they always want an extra pillow etc.
    That would be great.

  17. When setting a task, everything needs to be typed, whereas a lot of time could be saved if the hotel could customise a list of templates to use.

    For example, 'Deliver Amenity' or 'Unzip Beds'. Quick little things like these!

  18. We should be able to modify rates for multiple room categories at once. When we modify rates for a given period we should be able to select the period and then enter the rate for each category of rooms instead of having to click - re-enter the dates and then the rate.
    It takes 3 times to amount it should take to have a more dynamic rate strategy!

  19. Having the possibility to hide or not show some products on billing or quotation.
    I.E. A negative product set up as an adjusment
    -15€ dinner on accomodation revenue to have a discounted price for half-board

  20. When clicking on Occupancy, and then hovering the cursor over the various cells, there's lots of information show (which is great!)

    It shows the Average Daily Rate, but would it be possible to also have displayed what the Total Room Revenue is too? e.g. ADR $200.00 x 38 rooms = $7,600.00.
