Available rooms on opening screen
When you log into the PMS, it shows an occupancy chart and underneath how many arrivals, departures, etc there are for the next few days. However, it would also be good to show HOW MANY AVAILABLE ROOMS there are on each day for the next few days. And I mean rooms and NOT occupancy. So, if someone asks if we are fully booked or if there is availability in general, one can very quickly see that there are still rooms available before digging in further to see which rooms and room types are still free. Not removing products from the Reservation Report for cancelled bookings
When a guest cancels a room, all products are removed on the Reservation Report so it is not possible to gauge whether the guest had a product previously. This is problematic if a process needs to be upheld when a product is cancelled (e.g. informing a third party) and it's not clear whether a reservation had the product to begin with.

Ability to select multiple dates in the Analytics reports/graphs
It would be great if we could select multiple dates or multiple months in the reports/graphs - for seasonal hotels, it is really the way we tend to anlyse performance.

Absorb products
Other PMS systems I have used have "absorbed" products in the Rate.
For example you have a rate of £150 , part of this is £10 breakfast.
Currently in Mews if you change the price of breakfast , you then need to change all your rates separately which is time consuming.
It also means that if you have 342 rate, the 33% deduction only comes from the accommodation value and does not take into consideration the products.
If you change the price of a product it would be great if the value of the accommodation would also change automatically .2 votes -
Drag and drop ordering of product lists
It would be great to be able to reorder product lists (and other lists) in Services by drag and drop.
Now, if you need to reorder a list of products, you have to go into each product and give it a number from 0+

being able to change the service of a product
sometimes you may wish to move a product from one additional service category to another (for example if you add a new service category due to expending the products offered).
at the moment this is not possible and you have to create a new one and delete the old one. not very time efficient and also messing up your reports as you could already have products booked.

Simplify letterhead adjustment
Dear Mews team,
We would be happy if we could easily adjust or overwrite the billing address on the invoice without having to post the invoice back and create a complete fake invoice so that it can be adjusted. We only want to adjust the letterhead and not the payment method or the amount. In this way, we could also avoid errors that can arise from reversing the invoice and it is also clearer for the accounting department if there are not still 20 fake invoices.2 votes -
Guest List breakdown of kids and adult
We have products in resort referred to as Family Eat Free. When exporting the report we need to see how many adults and kids are staying on said product to ensure we honor the correct amount of kids meals vs adult meals. When exporting the guest list, we can only see amount of guests in the room but loose the breakdown seen in the companion column. Need report that include by room number, name, how many adults and kids and what product.

Tracking room sizes for Housekeeping
Within some states in the US, there is a maximum number of square feet (or metre) that an individual can clean during their shift. To help ensure that this limit is not being exceeded, it would help to have the measurements of the room listed within the Housekeeping part of Mews.

disallow invoicing with incomplete billing details
It would be amazing if an invoice cannot be made if and when the billing details are not completed in the company profile. Now the employee from reservations already grants the 'invoiceable' privilage to a company so that the receptionist know they dont have to take deposit payment at check-in. however at check-out it is still required to complete the billing details, but then the invoice is already closed (as it is possible) and as it is not correctly checked, only with the invoicing check (sometimes days later) it is found that the billing details are missing.

Request to increase the Reservation Group Size
Request to increase the Reservation Group Size. The current reservation group size of 500 reservations is not sufficient and is creating operational issues for large-size Hotel Venues.

Splitting reservations should not increase pick up
When splitting a booking, it creates a new booking, and pick ups in any RMS. Please don't consider a booking as a new received booking, as it false pick up and data.

Configure products to be used for multiple categories
When creating products you can only select one category. Which means when creating routing rules. You have to create a product for each ratecode each time. Which will create an unnecessary long product list. Please create a drop down menu where you give the option to select multiple categories.

list of booker names doesn't display when making a reservation (window is hidden)
think there is an issue with the system as normally you are able to see the drop down window. now it seems to be hidden behind the availability window underneath. please look into this urgently as it creates more work with having to add this after the booking has been made.
PS - even on the next screen where there is no other window underneath are you able to see the bookers names!
PS2 - NOWHERE are you able to see the bookers names, not even in the reservation itself - madness!!!2 votesHi Simone,

We are currently looking into this issue, and would like to know a few more details, would you be able to ket us know if you are currently using Mews on Mobile or desktop as well as the browser you are using?
It is currently possible to view booker names on the reservation module, the booker name appears on the right hand side of the reservation module under the "Status" section.

Block space automatically
We have rooms that need more time to be cleaned, which is why we have to block them for the night after the guests check out. It would be great if the system could do that automatically as soon as those rooms have been booked. As for now, we need to block the rooms manually everytime it is booked...

Availability Blocks pick up pattern
When I enter a block pattern (example: 4-7-5-5-3) the system makes me pick the rooms up as if I have 4 rooms staying for one night, then 7 rooms staying for one night, then 5 rooms staying for 2 nights etc. instead of staggered arrivals with different lengths of stay like blocks typically are. Can that be changed?

Thank you for your suggestion. Availability blocks in Mews allow for availability to be adjusted per space category per day as you have described above. When availability is adjusted, a set number of spaces are removed from public availability per day.
It is possible to support staggered arrival dates within an availability block, however the arrival dates are limited within the contractual constraints agreed upon i.e the number of spaces made available per day.
Based on your example above, it appears that you are referring to run of house reservations. Is that the case?
