Space allocation rules for the automatic allocation
We would like to propose a development to the feature of automatic allocation of spaces on the timeline, when the “Reservation assignment strategy” is Preferred space features (and potentially also useful when choosing the random- option.)
In addition to considering preferred space features, it would be useful to have the option to prioritize or deprioritize specific spaces or groups of spaces when assigning reservations automatically.
For example:
• For bookings of 2+ nights, we would like the system to prioritize spaces with uneven room numbers.
• We would like spaces that are part of connecting-room combinations to be allocated last,…4 votes -
Option to sort the timeline
Let the customer choose their preferred sorting, either by space category, or by space number (name). Having the filters for space category and floor actually removes the reason for retaining the unchangeable default ordering by space category, since even when sorted by number you can just filter for category for a suitable view to manage allocation. From my experience, most customers who actually use the timeline prefer the view by number.

MEWS Recommended upgrades to maximise LOS in same room type
I would like to propose a feature that tells us “recommended for upgrade” where the system automatically can spot and declare that when we have availability but not in the same room type, MEWS will suggest to upgrade one of more reservations so that we can sell the room for more than 1 night stays, THUS increasing the number of consecutive nights, the guest is able to book.
It would be great if it could also look at “the booked room is with a balcony, so the room I suggest to upgrade to should also have a balcony” or “there…

Hardcoded city tax should not consider Infants
Hardcoded city tax is now considering date of birth. In case of a child without date of birth filled-in, Mews consider 17 years old. For Infants it should always ignored, even without the date of birth. At least in Italy, infants (0-3 yo) never have to pay.
So, if it is possible that infants generates city tax, it will be much easier to manage bills.4 votes -
Room size field in Booking engine
It would be nice to have Room Size information in the Booking engine. Currently we have Maximum persons and Available rooms, so Room Size would be nice to be right next to it.
I understand this can be added in description of the room, however having a simple field with this information would be much more helpful and easier for guests to understand.4 votes -
Show or hide rates based on multiple conditions
i am looking to hide or show rates, in both the 'manual' reservation creation flow, as well as the booking engine based on various conditions
eg a company has a contracted rate, and in the contract is also listed that they will always be granted the lowest rate. i dont want to show the contracted rate if eg the BAR is lower, and for some companies that have a discount rate on BAR, we want to ensure that when there is a promotion, that they see this one instead of the contracted rate.

Temporary OTA Freeze / Reception Control Mode for Room Blocks
We would like some form of temporary OTA isolation / reception‑only mode, where, for example:
Changes made by reception (room moves, removing blocks, emergency allocations), do NOT sync to OTAs until the mode is turned off.
A short, manual pause (e.g. 5–10 minutes) on OTA updates while operational changes are being made
The Problem:
Currently, Mews only allows one type of room block. The 'Out of Order' block.
When running close to full occupancy, there could be some daily operational issues, unexpected maintenance problems, guest conflicts, or urgent relocations.

More easily visible competitor pricing information
Hello R&D team,
It would be great to have a more visual price screening page on Atomize to see the competition with a glance. Also the number of competitors could be increased to 8-10 to have a better representation of the market.

Move multiple reservations altogether on the timeline
Bulk select multiple reservations in a group and move them altogether in one movement from one series of spaces to another. At this stage, we have to individually select each reservation to change the space, which can take time for large groups.

Restrict Modification of Additional Expense Items after Closed Fiscal Period
The issue is that we can still remove already posted and fiscally closed Additional Expense items, despite the editable History Window (EHW) being set to a specific time period in the settings.
Issues that arise:

We would like to suggest a few improvements to the timeline in Mews that could significantly enhance usability:
Better color customization
The current grey shades are very similar and hard to distinguish. More contrast or customizable colors would improve readability.OTA/source icons on reservations
Adding icons (Booking.com, Expedia, Direct, etc.) would make it much easier to instantly identify the booking source.Guest count visible on timeline

Wish for improved color contrast for "Check-out Today" vs. "Check-in Today
Hi Mews team!
We would like to request a minor adjustment to the color coding on our reservation timeline to improve our daily workflow and reduce manual errors.
The Issue:
Currently, both "Check-out Today" and "Check-in Today" use a very similar shade of blue. When the booking department and reception team is assisting guests with stay extensions or late check-out requests, it is difficult to distinguish between a guest who is due to depart today and the guest who is to arrive when looking at the same room to checkin and out of. There need to be a Overview function, a function where all reservations shows up in a detailed list which where you can filter directly on the overview either on name A-Ö, ratecodes, floor in the hotel or roomtype just as some examples.ex. When reissuing bills with rebate items, the Segment for Deposit is no longer Seperated
When the bill is closed with a deposit, it clearly states on the bill that there is a deposit in a separate segment of the bill.
However, the problem is when the bill gets reissued. The deposit item is no longer in seperate segment.As it is now registered as an "additional" expense item, it now gets only put under the top part of the bill under the stay package.
The clearer way would be to keep it in a separate segment (Similar to how we bring back payments on original bills)

Sortierung Print-Anreiseliste
Es wäre schön, wenn man die Anreise-/Abreiseliste nach Nachnamen oder Zimmernummern sortieren könnte. Die Option "Gruppieren nach" nimmt viel zu viel Platz weg.
Es ist sehr zeitaufwändig, jeden Tag eine neue Excel-Liste zu erstellen. Das wäre mit einem Knopfdruck sehr viel effektiver.4 votes
