  1. When guests payment fails on Booking Engine (property's web page) - it would be good if a payment request is sent automatically and guests warned if they do not make the payment that the booking will be cancelled.

    We are currently doing this manually and sometimes it is a lot of extra work.

  2. There is a huge problem in Mews when it comes to availability blocks and overbooking.

    Right now, if you for example have all existing standard rooms blocked in an availability block, and then there is an overbooking of a standard room, this overbooking will not show on the availability overview. It will just say that the availability for standard rooms is 0, and not -1. So then if you look at the availability overview, it will say for example that we have 0 standard rooms available and 1 superior room, so it looks like we have one room available, but…

  3. Bei vielen Artikeln ändern sich jedes Jahr der Preis. Es wird im System sehr unübersichtlich, wenn wir für jeden Jahr ein neues Produkt erstellen müssen, diese aber immer wählbar sind.
    Es müsste also möglich sein, dem Produkt einen Gültigkeitszeitraum zuzuweisen z.B. 01.01.-31.12.2025.
    Zusätzlich wäre es hilfreich, wenn in einer Buchung die Anzahl angegeben werden kann, wie oft das Produkt hinzugefügt werden soll. z.B. ein Produkt Halbpension welches pro Person pro Nacht gebucht wird bei einem Aufenthalt von 4 Nächten nur 2x gebucht werden soll.

  4. Proposal: Customize Stayover Room Cleaning Status Automation

    Currently, stayover rooms are automatically set to “dirty” or “uninspected” after one night. This default behavior creates unnecessary confusion for the housekeeping team and results in inefficient workflows.

    Key Issues:

    Unnecessary Cleaning:
    The system automatically changes every stayover room’s status to “dirty” or “uninspected,” which can lead to cleaning being performed even when the guest has not requested it.

    Inefficient Workflow:
    Housekeeping staff must spend extra time identifying which rooms require cleaning since all rooms are flagged automatically, without considering whether they are truly in need of service.

  5. We are looking to develop booking engines that integrate directly with Mews, allowing us to verify restaurant availability before accepting bookings. This system will enable guests to submit booking inquiries, such as a room night with dinner on a specific date, leaving details, but, without immediate payment.

    Once these inquiries are received, we can confirm restaurant availability and finalize the booking or suggest alternative dates. This improves efficiency by reducing the need for manual input from emails and enhances guest data management.

    Our current setup with Formitable/Zenchef does not sync with Mews, which complicates the booking process. This new engine…

  7. Es wäre sinnvoll und einfacher, wenn man direkt vom Reservierungsbutton aus auch eine Gruppenreservierung / einen Gruppenblock anlegen kann. Der Umweg über den "Verfügbarkeits Blöcke" Bericvht ist sehr umständlich. Auch sollte man den Gruppenblick in der Verfügbarkeitsübersicht sehen können. Zusätzlich sollten Reservierungen die zu einer Gruppen gehören einfach erkennbar sein in der Zeitachse bzw bei den Anreisen, also ohne, dass man in jede Buchung klicken muss und schauen muss, ob diese zu einer Gruppe gehört. Eine Filterung der Anreisen nach Gruppe wäre ebenfalls sinnvoll.

  8. We are experiencing attempts to get employees to login to a false login-site, where a thirdparty is then mirroring the login credentials, and gets access to the account without the employee knowing. We wish the security level increased. here is some suggetions:
    - Messages in case of login attempts on a new device, and the new login should be approved
    - Possibility to limit login only to onsite IP-adresses
    - Other security measures

  9. If possible a dog icon would be very nice.
    So we could see in the timeline which guests/rooms have dogs. This would be helpful in case we have to mova a room (to another dog friendly room) . Also our staff from housekeeping could directly see which rooms have dogs. :)

  14. Rate Key Requirement:
    It is not possible to leave the rate key field empty, limiting flexibility. We are currently doing a big migration/restructure project and cannot yet delete the old rates but need to wipe the keys in order to reuse them.

    Navigation Limitation:
    Unable to use Command+Click to open a rate in a new tab, which impacts multitasking efficiency.

    Voucher Code Search:
    Searching for voucher codes is harder. Additionally:

  16. Gender / Nationality / Date of birth by booking

    Could we make madatory for a guest who is booking to fill his Gender / Nationality / Date of birth as well ? Right now he only has to fill his last name, email and phone number.

  17. We need the OPTION to pre-allocate rooms in an availability block. By the time we receive some rooming lists and pick-up the beds, other guests have already extended in a room and then ruined exclusivity in a section/floor; or if you sell beds in a hostel, the extensions have led to the availability block guests being split up over multiple different rooms.

  18. It would be helpful to receive email notifications if a OTA booking has been modified. We have direct integrations for Booking.com and Expedia but do not receive any sort of modification if a booking is modified.
    We have previously requested this feature via a support ticket but were told this would not be considered but I'm sure other hoteliers would find this helpful - particularly as some upgrades have not been modified via Mews.

  20. Currently, the Associated profile's address is visibly compacted on the bill > we believe it is to save space on the header and is presented as follow:

    Adress: Address line 1, Adress Line 2
    City, Postal Code, Country

    However, it would be preferable to keep the "standard billing format" just perhaps make it appear smaller. And, perhaps it can also occupy a bigger space when the customer address is not completed so the standard below is not lost.

    Furthermore, the standard billing formatting should be as noted below:

    Address:
    Name
    Street #
    Postal Code + TOWN/CITY (same Line)
    Country
