Property Operations and PMS: this is the forum for posting your ideas and comments on all aspects of hotel operations, from reservations to events to metrics and reports. Where we can, we'll move ideas around to group them as intuitively as possible for the product managers working on the PMS.

  3. Guests may know in advance that they have companions coming to stay for only part of their reservation. Therefore, properties may want to apply these changes as soon as possible, rather than waiting until after check-in. This additional feature could allow users to split future bookings as necessary.

  9. Rather than having all restrictions based on rates, a new management screen could be introduced for general restrictions. From here, Mewsers could create independent restrictions and then apply them to rates or rate groups as necessary.

  12. Currently, it is not possible to import Optional bookings to Mews, which would create a lot of manual work adding those to your system. For this reason, it could helpful to add an additional column for State, which could help differentiate between Confirmed and Optional bookings. This new feature would not only add value to the import, but it could also creates a workaround to import allotments.

  13. As housekeeping complete their daily cleaning schedule, they are often responsible for restocking minibar products or other room amenities. Therefore, adding stay product details within the Commander application could provide stocking information and reporting capabilities so that each room is prepared exactly right for the next arriving guest.

  17. Currently, you can enable or disable automatic sending of these emails. However, with this idea, you could specify to whom you would like or wouldn't like to send 'after start' and 'after end' emails

  19. Right now, it is only possible to check rate totals when creating a new reservation. Even then, the total price is shown based only on the currently selected rate for stay and products added. A rate query tool would be a great option to help clarify and check prices, availability, and restrictions that may apply to different rates, with or without certain products. This additional functionality could also help revenue, sales, and marketing departments to save time and streamline their efforts.
