  1. Currently restrictions only consider the arrival date and not the departure date.

    This means that if I want only allow bookings at my property from today - 365 days from now, setting the below restriction is not enough to close out the property from day 366 onwards. This restriction will allow a reservation to start on day 1 - 364 and end any day afterwards.

    Restriction type: Closed to Stay/Arrival/Departure
    Maximum advance: 365 days

    The best current workaround is to set the below restriction. However, this restricts stays arriving on day 336 - 365, and also for more than 30…

  3. Problem:
    When you update a product price in Mews (like breakfast), it only applies to new bookings. But if a guest changes their reservation (like the dates), Mews may remove the original product and re-add it at the new price not the one that was originally booked. This causes confusion for staff, inconsistent pricing for guests, and potential overcharges. Even with the workaround of creating new product versions and stopping sales of the old one, the issue can still happen, especially when guests change bookings via OTAs like Booking.com.

  4. We would like to be able to set priorities for multiple Cancellation policies within the same Rate group. For example if the rate group has 30 days cancellation policy, but also needs to apply free cancellation within 24hr after confirmation, if the booking was made less that 30 days prior to arrival, 24 hr free cacellation should kick in first and exclude 30 days cancellation policy.

  5. Currently if you set a cancellation policy overwrite for a rate group there are several issues:

    • The overwrite policy is not reflected within the email templates
    • The policy only applies if the arrival date falls within this period. There is no way to define an inclusion rule

    Let me explain this with an example. If I set a 14d cxl policy for New Years 31. - 01.01., the confirmation email will still state my standard 3d cxl policy. If a guest stays for two nights 30.12 - 01.01. the policy won't even apply because his arrival date doesn't fall on…

  6. Creating a filter in the Mews app for the tasks; now they are in order of time of reporting, but that’s not efficient.

    A good option to help the Operations and Housekeeping teams is have a filter to put the task by roomnumber (accommodationnumber).

    Also, here other Task improves that can be helpful:

    • There is no way to filter by name, by date, by accommodation number whatever).

    • No required field to fill in creating a task accommodation number.

  7. Would it be possible to configure fixed start and end dates for the "voucher" booking engines?

    To improve the guest experience when promoting a time-limited rate, it would be ideal to define a default start date for the voucher that aligns with the start of the promotion. If the selected date is before this, the default would adjust to the actual current date.

    Likewise, if a user searches for availability beyond the promotion’s end date, rather than showing a generic “No availability” message, it could display “Sorry, this offer has expired” with a redirect link to the main booking engine.

  8. When you have the departure list open and select multiple rooms you sometimes get an error message that one room can not be checked out if it is already checked out or have an open biil. It would be great if the system checked out the remaning rooms that have been selected so you don't have to start over from the beginning if the page is not updated and you have selected multiple rooms for check out

  10. Different email templates (confirmation/ prestay++) for different seasons

    Situated in the middle of the mountains of Norway we run very differently summer and winter. Mews is great with giving the customers helpful information before the stay which makes it much easier for us at the reception. But: we need to re-write the templates two - three times per year, adjust them to winter info/ summer info/ autumn info.
    Maybe this is special for us, but I wonder if not also bigger hotels could think of adjusting pre-information to seasons like x-mas and summer breaks.

  11. It would be helpful to be able to work with a date when adjusting the price of products, e.g. City Taxe valid until date xx.xx.xxxx CHF.... from date xx.xx.xxxx CHF ... valid. City taxes are legal requirements that can change from time to time.

    some of our cooperating companies have different billing addresses under the same name. At the moment the billing address is taken from primary address (which is the last added address). Can you enable: a) changing the primary address within company profile or b)choosing company address during the billing process?

  15. The guest can check in at kiosk even if the balance is 1.000 DKK - due routing rule. Company has a) guest who always get sent a bill to company and b) guest who needs to pay themselves at the hotel. The host gets the room amount back to guest profile from company, but the kiosk do not ask the guest to pay. So the guest check in and out without paying.
    Here: The kiosk should see the balance for asking payment.

  16. What's the point of offering a breakfast, or a drink or anything else to a guest and not being able to see it on the invoice or the products report ?! Please make anything charged at 0€ visible !!! Thank you

Currently if a use attempts to set an early arrival for a booking (especially Availability Block group) the early Check-In time is rejected because the block is missing the necessary adjustments. In other words, the system cannot consider early check-in due to conflict with the occupancy time established in the stay settings.

    However, this is an avenue for additional income and also for personalized service - clients often find themselves without many options when it comes to that.

    On top of the possibility to create "Early C/I products", there should also be a button that could facilitate an earlier check-in…

  18. We like to do the room cleaning every 2 days for stayovers. This works fine with the intervall setting. But when it comes to the check out, it gets a bit confusing when the cleaning staff is using the app. Sometimes rooms are vacant very early and the reception is not informed about it. So the cleaning staff see only the room as checked and not as dirty, cause the room is not checked out. If the housekeeping switch the status to clean before check out, the room will automatically marked as dirty after check out. Helpfully would be if…

  19. Das Anliegen ist nur eine Kleinigkeit, aber es wäre toll, wenn man irgendwo ein Anfangsdatum anlegen muss, dass das Enddatum automatisch NACH dem Anfangsdatum wäre. Wenn man Restriktionen erstellt, ist es ja auch immer so, dass wenn ich z. B. "von 1.6.25" anklicke, bei "bis" automatisch ein Datum ab dem 1.6.25 wählbar ist.

    Bei vielen anderen Punkten im System ist es nicht so, da steht dann bei "bis"-Daten immer automatisch das heutige Datum, also z. B. wenn ich einen Promocode anlege und bei "für Reservierungen ab dem..." den 1.6.25 anwählen würde, lande ich bei "Reservierungen bis" wieder beim heutigen Datum…

  20. Possibility to enable the use of specific Counters and Fiscal Printers only for some users/roles.

    Currently, the user must manually select the counter for the bill and the fiscal printer each time a document is issued. This leads to errors and makes issuing corrections very time-consuming. By allowing the assignment of which counters and fiscal printers a user or role is authorized to use, the overall user experience would be significantly improved.
