Property Operations and PMS: this is the forum for posting your ideas and comments on all aspects of hotel operations, from reservations to billing. Where we can, we'll move ideas around to group them as intuitively as possible for the product managers working on the PMS.

  1. The only filter option for Travel Agent Contract is Country. This makes it really difficult to find the correct contract, especially when you have several with approximately the same name.

    Or - if Travel Agent Contract could be a filtering for the Companies so it could be found from there.

  2. Group confirmation should have a more simple overview, one line per space category and per single/double use. Each line should have the folloring "tabs"/information: number of rooms, unit price, total pris, VAT. Group bookers asks for a simple overview and not 120 lines for each room.
    This confirmation should be generated in a PDF file and in vertical format.

  3. With the increased adoption of bookable services functionality, we have noticed an a demand from customers who want to manage their boats (and sometime house boats) on Mews. As Mews currently does not support “boat” resource type, they often use workarounds.

    Would you like boats to be added to the list of supported types? Let us know!

  4. The functionality is already in Mews: it is used by the Hotels for Trees integration. In the Mews app housekeeping can click a button to tell the reception that the room has not been cleaned because the customer asked not to clean the room. The button is an icon of a doorhanger on it. When they click it the room status of this room has the same doorhanger icon next to it. We are using this integration in one of our hotels.   5. Currently having a MLOS exception and maximum advance exception for close to stay restriction does not work.

    An example would be having a close to stay restriction for the Saturdays, except if they book 2 nights, OR if they book within 7 days before arrival (maximum advance).

    So what I want is a MLOS2 restriction for the Saturdays, but when it is 7 days before arrival, no restriction at all.

    It is probably a setup with an AND/OR rule.

  6. Enable assigning specific rooms to the group block. Properties should be able to block specific room numbers for the group so that the groups are staying close to each other.

  7. When displaying Hotel Guest Name on the Timeline why cant you add how many occupants are in that rom as well ie Smith/Jones 2 or Jackson 3 which would be very helpful as a quicker view of how many guests staying instead of going over multiple reports and clicks.

  8. When you have made an adjustment to a rate you have to go through the whole year to see that adjustment.

    I.e. I have a base rate on 800 SEK. I have an adjustment that apply every sat - sun. That lower the price to 650 SEK. It's easy to do and hard to manage.

    What if I'm not happy with the lenght of it or want to do adjustments to that adjustment. There is no overlook on what adjustments are applied. The only thing I can do is change the date and the start scrolling. How far did someone…

  9. the monthly timeline is already a lot better to deal with long-stay enquiries, however, we have just oversold our property due to the fact that a short stay was not showing up on the monthly time line. we thought we had the full three months available when we didn't.
    this is of course not acceptable meaning we are not able to use the monthly view.
    may i suggest perhaps a weekly view? or just make the fields smaller (half or quarter their current width).

    This functionality has been released in a limited scope (only bookings longer than 30 days are displayed). We are moving it to the backlog and will get back to it later.

  10. Mews automatically applies cancellation fee for date changes within the cancellation window (unless you untick the box before making a change).

    We do not believe that date changes should be treated the same as cancellations and the cancellation fee should not be automatically applied.

    This is currently causing operational challenges with charges and adjustments in billing (in the rush, staff may forget to untick the box as this is not intuitive).

  12. To be able to set the email address that the companies can respond to with queries for 'invoicable' companies. This email should show on the front of the email received by the company and be different to the email for queries for individual customers.

  13. A canceled reservation still appears in the guest's navigator, would it be possible to choose which of them to permanently delete?
    I offer my guests different spaces or tariffs, they choose one, and then the others end up being canceled but they are still present in their navigator, cutting it up. I wish I was able to delete the irrelevant ones.

  14. It would be essential to bill and follow debtors invoices based on company profiles.
    Actually we can invoice a company but the invoice stay on client profile, for debtors management it would be easier that the invoice appears on company profile. We are force to create a client profile for the company and move the items on it, which is redundant.

  16. Need to be able to pull a report or see quick view, the total revenue listed under a group name which includes any charges accrued during that stay - currently you can only pull the reservations report for accommodation and no additional charges.

  20. so instead of graphs and drawing on the dashboard it would be great just to have name on it and when we click on the icon it gives the further details that was we can make the dashboard look much more clean and make more space
