  1. Would be nice if the room number shows up behind the name while using the search bar. If you look up a name now, you have to click on the name before you see the room number.

  2. Now, it is impossible to print or send a proforma if booking is not confirmed
    To send a proforma for optional booking we have to confirm the reservation then delete it and re-create the booking as optional.
    Please make it possible, so we can send a proforma invoice as a quotation with an option date for confirmation

  3. House Accounts which are regularly used tend load/open slowly due to high volumes of transactions.

    Can we move historical data (90days and older) to a separate account or only load the most recent data when opening the account (last 60 days)

    This will assist efficiency and speed when charging to house accounts.

  4. In many countries, there are multiple official languages, meaning that nationality cannot reliably be used to determine a guest's preferred language for communication. A field for default communication language could then be added to customer profile to ensure consistency in all correspondence and also to prevent guests from receiving messages that they don't understand.

  5. When dealing with a booking extension ( checked-in) Mews automatically changes the room allocation to a new vacant room. This does not make any sense as the guest is already in house, and Mews should not be able to change by itself an In-house reservation. This is leading into a lot of check-ins into occupied rooms and therefore, guest complaints.

    Hi Mewsers,
    if you have online check-out enabled, guests receive the copy of their bill to their mailbox right after they finish online check-out. (they receive only copy of the bill which was closed by guest during the online. check-out.).

    Other bills closed via Commander are not being sent automatically to the guest yet.

  7. City taxes amount is different between adults and children, and among children based on their age.
    Would be useful to create a rule that recognises the different kind of partecipants and their age among children, showing, then, the different amounts due

  9. Tasks are very helpful to track daily responsibilities in Mews. However as many tasks are recurring, it could be helpful to eliminate that manual work and add a repeating tag to allow automatic repetition of those particular assignments on a daily, weekly, or monthly basis.

  10. It is sometimes necessary to block more than one room out of order (an entire floor or entire building in the event of large scale refurbishment work, for example) and it would be helpful to be able to place multiple rooms 'out of order' at once if they all should be blocked for the same dates and same reason.

Groups configuration We need to have Group blocks i.e. *When we assign a booking code to a group booking, and the clients will reserve the rooms in the IBE, the PMS should understand that the room reserved need to be picked up from the block.     We are very happy to announce that we are beginning to work on adding group block functionality to Mews. If you have an integrated system you can begin making use of block functionality through the Connector API.

    Over the coming months we will begin adding block functionality to the PMS. If you are interested in learning more, and if you would like to share your feedback on our current prototypes, please let me know in the comments section or by responding to this email.

  13. I think, the new billings view is illegible and I wish, the old view will stay for ever. It was easier. I don't know, why Mews is changing something what is working well!!

    Built on newer, smarter and faster technology, the new screen opens up a new world of possibilities. From the new features that have been added within the initial release, to the to allowing us to begin adding the features you’ve been asking about for billing.   14. It would be useful to have a mail template to be sent a few days before the guest arrival, as a reminder, but also to let them have directions to the hotel, useful info regarding events during their stay etc.

    We have template called “Before start” which is automatically sent 48 hours before the guest’s arrival.

    This template is partially customizable. You can customize Subject, Headline, and Paragraph. (please see the attachment)

  15. Would be nice if a reservations when there is a restriction, can be overruled by head of reservations f.e., so when making a reservation deleting the restriction will not be necessary.

  16. Add Filter to the Manager Report that would enable us to sort the revenue as per Travel Agency.
    For Example, if selecting Monthly Revenue there would be a drop box that shows all individual OTAs total revenue (for the selected month).

    Hello Mewsers,

    We are very happy to inform you that we have released the new group billing screen!

    On this new screen we have separated bill items from past and future reservations. Now you can stick to seeing the relevant bills for your reservation in the selected stay period

    Don’t worry, we haven’t gotten rid of it completely! We have created an additional billing screen for each guest. You can access this screen by selecting “All guest’s bills” in the new billing screen. This will show you all open past, present and future bills for the guest you have selected, with convenient tags so you always know which bills are relevant for you.

    Please note this functionality is only available on the new billing screen which will continue to run along side the current billing module.

    eg.
    - by room category/room type (current)
    **** by room number *** (MOST IDEAL UPDATE)

  19. Some properties have specific billing preferences for some products, so properties could assign some items to OTA or company bills automatically, while others would be transferred to the guest's bill for payment.
