Under Space Categories, add a feature so that extra capacity is for children only.
My suggestion is to allow for extra capacity in space categories to be for children only. All my spaces are standard occupancy of two people with some spaces having extra capacity set at two. As a property want to be able to specify 2 adults + 2 children and not potentially attract booking for 4 adults.

Es wäre wirklich toll, wenn es die Option schnellstmöglich gibt, da wir keine Erwachsenen auf den Schlafsofas einbuchen möchten sondern diese nur für Kinder bereitstellen.

This is critical issue for us. Our rooms can accommodate maximum 2 adults and two children OR 3 adults.
The maximum capacity should be able to modify depending the age categories, adults/children. The work-arounds for this are not good solution as we can set the maximum capacity for 3 persons total, which makes our guests booking experience confusing especially online.

OTAs already allow age-based occupancy, which is why guests often book there instead of our direct booking engine. This causes unnecessary commission losses. Adding this feature would significantly improve the usability and reach of the Mews Booking Engine and help properties increase direct bookings.

For standard suites, it should be possible to book for two children regardless of age, but currently it only allows booking for one child. How can we get this changed?
Also, it should not be possible to book an extra adult in these rooms. How can we get this changed? -

very important for us too. In fact, if people want to book 1 DBR for 2 + 1 baby, MEWS proposes 2 rooms, which is really not what the customer needs.
Therefor, clients book via OTA's because there you can add just 1 baby (with or without a supplementary cost).
The loss of commission is a big deal for us...
When will this be addressed by MEWS?

One would like to have implemented that some rates might only be bookable for single use.
However, this also is not possible yet. -

i just talked to a guest, that booked via booking.com because they could not book the aparment on our website. since the limit on our website is 2 guests. on booking.com it is 2 guests + 2 babies. I dont want to know how much money we loose because of this. I hope hope that this will be integrated in the near future 🙏🏽

Is there a way to solve this with any tip ?
It makes 0 sensed we can't limit extra occupants by age, if we have a bed that only accommodates children mews makes impossible to sell these beds. -

It is today possible to have a maximum capacity on space types. It is however not possible to differentiate between age categories and Create a maximum number of children per roomtype.
it would be ideal if you could set it up to be min 1 adult and max 2 children in a triple room. -

Very sad that this is still not available. Idea is posted in 2019...
Every OTA has this feature but not possible for direct bookings.
It is causing us a lot of extra work having to check al family room bookings to prevent bookings with 4 adults.
Mews please release this for us so we could work more efficiently. -

Hi!
We have the same problem. We are offering our doublerooms for the max. capacity of 2 adults and 1 child which is max. 3 years old.
Would be great if MEWS could also handl this like booking.com.

Hello, this is also extremely important for us too, as our rooms only offer enough space for 2 adults with a maximum of 1 baby/child. But if I change the additional capacity, e.g. to 0 as we want it, i.e. a maximum of 2 adults in the room, I suddenly can no longer select children....Children should still be bookable, just not several adults. This separation in terms of additional capacity between adults and children in different age groups should be possible.

Currently there seems to be no limit for the number of children you can search for... seems like a bug.
The amount of children should be limited to the maximum room capacity of a search result for the number of adults.
So if 5 adults can be accommodated in 3 rooms and these 3 rooms can in addition accommodate 6 children, this should be the cap (max).
