Under Space Categories, add a feature so that extra capacity is for children only.
My suggestion is to allow for extra capacity in space categories to be for children only. All my spaces are standard occupancy of two people with some spaces having extra capacity set at two. As a property want to be able to specify 2 adults + 2 children and not potentially attract booking for 4 adults.

One would like to have implemented that some rates might only be bookable for single use.
However, this also is not possible yet. -

i just talked to a guest, that booked via booking.com because they could not book the aparment on our website. since the limit on our website is 2 guests. on booking.com it is 2 guests + 2 babies. I dont want to know how much money we loose because of this. I hope hope that this will be integrated in the near future 🙏🏽

Is there a way to solve this with any tip ?
It makes 0 sensed we can't limit extra occupants by age, if we have a bed that only accommodates children mews makes impossible to sell these beds. -

It is today possible to have a maximum capacity on space types. It is however not possible to differentiate between age categories and Create a maximum number of children per roomtype.
it would be ideal if you could set it up to be min 1 adult and max 2 children in a triple room. -

Very sad that this is still not available. Idea is posted in 2019...
Every OTA has this feature but not possible for direct bookings.
It is causing us a lot of extra work having to check al family room bookings to prevent bookings with 4 adults.
Mews please release this for us so we could work more efficiently. -

This is a big missing point in MEWS! Do not know why it will not be solved! This is really important for the daily business!

Hello, this is also extremely important for us too, as our rooms only offer enough space for 2 adults with a maximum of 1 baby/child. But if I change the additional capacity, e.g. to 0 as we want it, i.e. a maximum of 2 adults in the room, I suddenly can no longer select children....Children should still be bookable, just not several adults. This separation in terms of additional capacity between adults and children in different age groups should be possible.

Idea to upvote January 2024 - I don’t know any other pms system that doesn’t have this feature. This together with the lack of sorting abilities and rate depended on2 persons. Is making me not wanting to recommend Mews to other Hotels sadly. It has been 1 years since this request. It is very critical

Super important for us too. Must be important for all hotels. There is a big difference between a 1 year old vs adult. I am really surprised this is not an option

Same problem here with our family room! Want only allow 2 adults and 2 children instead of 4 adults. Really need to be able to put an restriction on how many adults you can have, channels can have this, but direct bookings not.

It would be great to resolve this issue.
Allowing age-based pricing, it is relevant that age-based features applies to the space categories settings & not only rates & products.
