Property Operations and PMS: this is the forum for posting your ideas and comments on all aspects of hotel operations, from reservations to billing. You'll find a category here for each of the major topics in property management, and if you can't find the right category, please search or post to the Other category. Where we can, we'll move ideas around to group them as intuitively as possible for the product managers working on the PMS.

  1. It would be great when we are able to choose if we want to change the price per night with or without products. (we prefer without, but that has changed, probably for a good reason, to being able to choose would be fantastic.)

  2. In the previous version OOS-rooms
    Main screen/overview doesn't show the reason why OOS-rooms are OOS. In the previous version, staff could see whey a room was OOS and could anticipate instantly. Now they have to open the room to see, and that creates errors, especially as you then open the page in which they can make changes, rather than only consult.

  3. Whenever we have an outstanding bill (from Travel Agent for example) we have to move it to a fake profile until its closed. If we issue invoice without the payment it states that we have refund (in the billing and the payment report).
    This amount is the deducted even though we have not made a refund.

    I would suggest to make this action proper and not classify an outstanding as a refund as they are totally different concepts.

  4. Now all roomtypes with all room numbers are displayed when assigning a reservation.
    You should only see the rooms available for the roomtype that is active for that reservation. When giving an upgrade you should change the roomtype in the tab 'Properties' > space category. When you changed the roomtype, the rooms for that roomtype available will now be shown in the assignment bar.

  5. On smartphones, the extended version of the reservation module is not visible. By "extended version of the reservation module", I mean the right hand side when you open a reservation in Commander. It would be nice to be able to see it on mobile as well.

  6. Ability to set a fixed date for invoices due.

    Ex. Invoices due on 20th of the following month.

    All invoices raised in June 2019, will be due on 20th July 2019.

    Current setting only allows for a number of days post-closing.

  7. In Italy we are facing the issue, that each invoice has to be print out on a specific invpice paper and only one time. So the night receptionists have to keep track of all the bills closed on one day which they do by using the bill and invoices report. It would be even more helpful to have an extra column added with the amount of prints so that they don't have to click in each bill.

  9. the feature to create reocurring reservations: In this case guest will come back every monday tuesday and thrusday until July.

  19. A calculator inside Mews number fields. For example, when creating a 30% deposit, we have to use a calculator. Having the ability to do the calculation inside Mews would save a lot of time.
