Property Operations and PMS: this is the forum for posting your ideas and comments on all aspects of hotel operations, from reservations to events to metrics and reports. Where we can, we'll move ideas around to group them as intuitively as possible for the product managers working on the PMS.

  1. Being able to create Master and sub-blocks within availability blocks. Scenario: Conference blocks - representatives from different companies/company entities attending which need to be billed separately.

    Thank you for sharing your feedback with us. We are happy to inform you that we are currently beta testing this new functionality, themed "multi-group blocks".


    Multi-group blocks

    Multi-group blocks will enable you to create multiple groups with up to 750 reservations each in a single block. This means that you will no longer have to create multiple blocks for large groups which is typically of blocks created for up 1 year for travel agency contracts. They can now all be automatically linked to a single block, effectively giving you 2 types of blocks 1) Single group blocks and 2) multi-group blocks.


    Multi-group blocks are a prerequisite to activating rolling release dates, as they prepare your property for handling large groups. You can learn more about the features that will be made available to beta testers in the recording linked below:

  3. In the Housekeeping App when a reservation has Arrived, the space turns to Dirty / Arrived and the time of arrival. We currently have reservations "Arrived" or "Arriving", but not an "Occupied" state for Housekeeping. This can be confusing for some housekeepers using the housekeeping app as the Arrived and Arriving look very similar. For most properties, if you have arrived, you are now "occupying" the space and therefore the space is now Dirty / Occupied. Possibly the tag for Arrived could be expanded to say Arrived / Occupied in a different color. The following day if the guest is…

  4. Each "service type" offered to a guest needs to be associated with a "space type". Current "space types" are limited to physical spaces only.

    Some services, such as "Experiences", could use additional "non-tangible space types". Clients would have the flexibility and freedom to offer tours, trips, etc. which could also be covered under the Spacetime project as they often times use the same logic as the physical space types = inventory, rate and bookable timeframe.

    Adding non-physical space types to the selection of "space types" would very likely increase usability of Spacetime.

  6. Products and services that are bookable during the reservation process should have a Day of Week Restriction.

    IE: Hotel wants to offer a product that is only available if a guest is going to be staying over a Tuesday, Thursday or Saturday.

    If a guest is going to be checking in Sunday and Checking out Wednesday, the product should display and be bookable.

    However, if they are checking in Wedneday & Checking out Thursday, the product should not display and be bookable as they guest wont be in house when the product is offered.

  7. We use the booker field for our paymaster indications for groups.

    It would be great if the booker would come up as a suggested customer to move the bill items to, when we move items from the bill.

    So in the move section all possible customer profiles that are attached to a reservation are listed as option.

  10. make it easy for house keeper by just giving data the check out or the stay which makes them feel more comfortable and the paper looks nice and clean as housekeepers do not need the name of the guest.

  12. Create an option to amend the advanced purchase discount % by day or day of week. I.e. Monday - Wed 10% off and thursday - saturday 15% and sunday 20% off

  13. Status screen, an besides of just having the time/hour the check-out was made, couldn’t there also be some other kind of indication (like C/O) that the room/bed was already checked-out too?

  14. We should be able to put filter on invoices, for example, order by date, by room number, by item, so it is easier for guests and staff to read the invoice!

  15. Enable Regeneration of a Proforma invoice without generating a new number. Sometimes you just need to generate the save Proforma to print it or resend it to a client. If you haven't saved it on your PC, you need to regenerate it and then it assigns a new number.

  16. The notifications window and the information "order created"is a bit pointless since it doesn't show any more information. In order to find out what order was created you have to click on order created and you will be send to the reservation. It would make more sense to at least show a booking umber or name in the notifications window next to order created.

  17. Il pourrait être très pratique de pouvoir nommer les différentes factures d'un même clients.
    En effet certains clients peuvent vouloir une facture Extras séparée de l'hébergement, ou même dans le cas de délégation, pouvoir créer des factures afin de spliter les charges, sans avoir à rentrer dans chaque facture pour savoir ce qu'on y met dedans, et voir d'un seul coup d’œil quelle facture correspond à quelle type de charge.

  20. When we make a booking we would like to add a EAN nr. that also should be transferred to the invoice for payment
