Where we can, we'll move ideas around to group them as intuitively as possible for the product managers working on the PMS.

  1. Some stay products are only used by management or certain reservation agents.
    Now all other agents and staff have to go through a long list of products to find the product that they need for the booking. Therefore it would be much easier if you could offer certain products only to management or certain employees.

  2. The donut on the right in mews shows how complete the guest profiles are. However, when you click on the GIH donut to have a detail, it shows you the arriving profiles as well. In order to see the actual GIH, you still need to change the filters. This is not logical, as you are clicking on GIH, mews should apply the filters accordingly and only show the profiles of the guests who are actually in house at that moment.

  3. Availability blocks currently only allow the option to enter 1 specific rate for a block. Since we operate with different rates based on roomtypes, and a group often combines roomtypes, it would be great being able to select multiple rates.
    Also offering a group to book online with a discount based on public rates, it would be good to be able to offer them both a discounted flexible rate and a discounted non-refundable rate.

  4. In terms of standardization, there is no option to select name or short name, the short name will display on the timeline when the name does not fit. Same for all others screens on the PMS. Pending on how much space there is within relevant window, the space name could show in 3 different ways i.e "standard queen room" - "B1B" or even just "B" (for the timeline) if there is only 1 space within this category.

  6. Have a commission module to have the ability to track third party bookings commission (and very handy when it comes to verify accuracy of third party invoice and/or make amend where required)

  8. It would be convenient to receive a notification if the occupancy reaches a certain percentage on a certain day. (e.g. if 60% OCC is reached on a certain day, you receive an email to notify you).

  9. For reporting purposes and data analysis, it would be good to have the possibility to chose whether or not we want to incl/excl OOO rooms. At the moment, MEWS deducts this automatically

  10. For every reservation that is on timeline, it would be nice if there was some form of a payment status descriptor so that our front desk staff can visually recognize which reservations have fully paid and which haven’t.

    For example:
    A fully paid reservation could have a “green” dot
    An unpaid booking could have a “red” dot
    A failed transaction could have a “black “ dot

    At this moment we have to manually enter the reservation and go to the payments tab to check if the reservation is fully paid or not. This takes time for each booking and is…

  11. If we make an optional reservation for our guests and send them our offer. The guests confirm the reservations through the link but the responsible employee/department do not get any information or notification, so it is problematic to keep track of these bookings. It would be great to get atleast a pop up notification if the guests confirm there reservations. This information is essential for internal planning for almost every property.

  12. Hello Mewsers, I think your new availability view is great! It would be even better if you could click directly on the optional reservations and see all reservations staying or arriving in the hotel at that date.

  13. I would like to print a report of arrivals from the past which shows the guests ACTUAL check in time. Any report I produce shows the general 3pm arrival time but not the actual time the check in was performed on the system.

  14. This is very confusing
    Ok for if a guest is staying 2 nights, charging them and never see them again.

    very difficult to read and understand. Once the Guest has been charged. the bill disappears.

    Very difficult to work out what a guest has been charged for and when. especially long term people who do work for accom.

    this needs a lot of work.

    With the GC 'POST' Section, (even though the 'amount outstanding' didn't work, you could see what the guest has paid and when and how. So much better.

  15. Mews lists amenities on the individual room level.

    It makes more sense to list amenities on the room category level so that all rooms within a specific category come with a set of amenities.

  16. The Price Overwrite Periods of the rates should be longer, than 12 months.
    When a company contract is valid for 15 months it needs a extra adaption. This should be possible to create it once.

  17. Sometimes clients book 2 consecutive nights through 2 different means. It would help the communication with housekeeping if the reception was able to "link" the 2 reservations together so it is clear that the same person stays in the room. Additionally, it would be helpful to have an automatic detection of this kind of things, like a notification warning us that a reservation has been made with a similar name a day before or after.

  18. In the final bill, we would like to have the possibility to split the accommodation cost between the Student (paying partially the room cost) and the Public Admin (paying the rest of the accommodation, considering that they PA is not paying VAT so I need to close it with VAT exempt)

    We would like to be able to turn off the sound when a notification comes in.
    when we are talking to guests, it is very annoying when we hear a 'ping' in our ear all the time.
    if it is also possible to turn off the notifications completely, that would be great.

    Thank you for sharing your feedback with us. We are happy to inform you that we are currently beta testing this new functionality, themed "multi-group blocks".


    Multi-group blocks

    Multi-group blocks will enable you to create multiple groups with up to 750 reservations each in a single block. This means that you will no longer have to create multiple blocks for large groups which is typically of blocks created for up 1 year for travel agency contracts. They can now all be automatically linked to a single block, effectively giving you 2 types of blocks 1) Single group blocks and 2) multi-group blocks.


    Multi-group blocks are a prerequisite to activating rolling release dates, as they prepare your property for handling large groups. You can learn more about the features that will be made available to beta testers in the recording linked below:
