When you click on the beginning date for blocked space - the calendar should automatically go to that date - instead you have to click on the calendar again to find the month/date example: the calendar automatically defaults to today's date - you have to tab thru the calendar for the date you want - then it should automatically show future dates for the end date, but it reverts back to today's date for the too. Would be nice if blocking house space worked the same way as booking a reservation - you would click on the date & space…

  3. Hello everyone,

    We would like to suggest a few improvements to the timeline in Mews that could significantly enhance usability:

    Better color customization
    The current grey shades are very similar and hard to distinguish. More contrast or customizable colors would improve readability.

    OTA/source icons on reservations
    Adding icons (Booking.com, Expedia, Direct, etc.) would make it much easier to instantly identify the booking source.

    Guest count visible on timeline
    Showing the number of guests directly on each reservation would greatly help with quick planning and overview.

    Payment status indicator
    An icon to show whether a reservation is paid or still pending…

  4. Currently, the system allows a "Confirmed" block to be released unless the "Do not release" toggle is manually selected. This redundancy creates a high risk of manual error, which has recently resulted in an accidental overbooking.

    Suppose when we click "Confirmed", it's confirmed and the block should automatically change to "Do not release". Otherwise, it makes the process more complicated and increases the chance of errors.

  5. Visual Confirmation When Custom Billing Automation Is Triggered

    Summary

    Users need a clear, on‑screen confirmation when a custom billing automation has successfully triggered - for all types of reservation updates. This provides reassurance that the automation executed as expected and helps prevent duplicate attempts or unnecessary troubleshooting.


    Problem Statement

    Currently, when a custom billing automation runs, users do not **Always receive any immediate visual confirmation within the UI.

    Because of this:

    • Users may assume the automation did not run.
    • They may re-attempt to trigger the same billing automation, leading to duplicate actions.
    • They may begin troubleshooting or modifying settings unnecessarily.

  6. Hi Mews team!

    We would like to request a minor adjustment to the color coding on our reservation timeline to improve our daily workflow and reduce manual errors.

    The Issue:
    Currently, both "Check-out Today" and "Check-in Today" use a very similar shade of blue. When the booking department and reception team is assisting guests with stay extensions or late check-out requests, it is difficult to distinguish between a guest who is due to depart today and the guest who is to arrive when looking at the same room to checkin and out of.   7. Whenever you create a block, Mews makes a "virtual rate code" for the group block. This becomes a nightmare when collecting rate code data from Mews API. Especially when ONLY American English is auto-generated for short name. Default language is based on user, not property so if one user has something else than American English, then the rate code name in database becomes blank. it should auto generate in american english short name no matter what language user uses.

  8. Currently, the cancellation tag in the MEWS booking engine is not flexible enough.

    The logic is fixed on the system side:

    Cancellation on the day of arrival = automatically 2:00 p.m. or defined check-in time.

    Cancellation X days before arrival = automatically 12:00 a.m.

    Individual cancellation times cannot be displayed. Rates such as “cancellable until 6:00 p.m. on the day of arrival” or “14 days before arrival until 2:00 p.m.” cannot be displayed correctly.

    A manual adjustment of the time per rate in the cancellation tag would be necessary in order to display the cancellation conditions correctly and transparently.

  9. We see the need for being able to set accounting categories as inactive. As for today, they must be marked as "do not use" or similar to avoid linking them to products etc. This causes issues for the ERP systems.

    We can't delete these categories entirely because they may be linked to past transactions and need to be kept for auditing and historical purposes.

  11. Description
    When adjusting a reservation’s arrival or departure date or time, the existing room lock is currently removed. This creates a risk that the lock is forgotten and the room is unintentionally reassigned, which leads to operational issues for the front desk and reservations teams.

    Feature request
    Please ensure that when arrival or departure dates or times are changed, the existing room lock on the space is retained automatically. This would remove the need for staff to manually remember to reapply the lock and reduce errors in daily operations.

  12. It would be useful if you could also see the address when merging the companies and travel agencies. Often there are branches that only differ in their address. This is not apparent from the current comparison.

    Ideally, I could also decide right here whether the address should be transferred. This would avoid the subsequent deletion action because both addresses are currently transferred.

  14. When using the calendar view and adding a restriction, after saving, you are automatically redirected to the list of restrictions, which means leaving the calendar view. Therefore, after each addition, you need to go back to the calendar and reapply the filters to display the desired dates.

    I considered the solution of opening two windows—one to keep the calendar view open and the other to create restrictions. However, this does not solve the problem: when a restriction is created in one window, the other window needs to be refreshed to display it, and this refresh resets the filters and returns…

  15. When moving items to a new bill, it will be great if we could have more options to filter the bills. For example, now, if we were to choose "Another Company" it will show all bills open on that company profile. But when we have hundreds of bills open (especially when created through billing automations), it is very hard to know which one is which. Ability to filter with the associated profile would be very useful.

  16. It would be great if invoices could combine the room stay and related package items into a single line when they are linked to the same date.

    For example, for a “Bed & Breakfast” package, the accommodation and breakfast charges would appear grouped together on the invoice instead of being separated into different lines.

    This functionality was previously available in Hotello and made invoices much clearer and easier to read for guests.

  17. When automatic no‑show cancellation is enabled, Mews currently cancels all no‑shows at 6:00 am on the day after arrival. This works well in most cases, but creates challenges for guests who have communicated a late arrival.

    Request:
    Add a simple “Late Arrival” flag on a reservation that can be set by front desk agents without checking the guest in.

    If a reservation is flagged as Late Arrival:
    - It should not be automatically cancelled as a no‑show
    - The reservation remains active until the guest arrives or is manually handled by staff

  19. I would really like it if there were some effective waiting list or some kind of notification when the required dates become available again. When a guest writes to me and requests specific dates, I can either fully refuse, write it down, or make a perhaps optional reservation to overbook. However, when guests request dates that are in a few months, our timeline would easily look like a bloody sea. And to write everything down is impossible with multiple properties and so many requests.

  20. As a small hotel, we don’t always place product orders every day. As a result, we sometimes forget to check the product checklist. We would like the ability to receive a daily email at a configurable time (ex. 7 p.m. the day before) with the product checklist included directly in the body of the email. This would eliminate the need for multiple clicks to access the checklist and reduce the risk of missing product orders.
