  1. It would be good to have a template for each rate. It was already mentioned but having more freedom with email templates in terms of adding more template options by hotels based on their own needs, as selection now is very limited.

    Mews seems to be a trying something new and making things simpler for guests and staff, but there are certainly some fields to be improved.

Right now there are no adjustable mailing templates in mews only adjustable mailing "contents" which is incredibly weak and a bad hit for corporate design and even the customer journey (reduced trust because its in a completely different design than anything else). For a pms that is centered around the customer this should really be different!

    I think it would be useful to add an global option for template and probably even for each individual mailing. So you could adjust this for single mailings if you want (which is asked for in different ideas).

  3. The AVS marketplace connection uses the tax identifier to identify the age category of the guest for the local tax. A feature that pre-fills the tax identifier (based on age of the guest) would make the life of hotels that have to use AVS a lot easier.

    For example:
    if guest is an adult, always set XX in tax identifier field.
    if guest has the age of 13-17, always set XY in tax identifier field.

    In 99% of the cases we would leave this untouched, but we would need the possibility to change the field (best case via drop down…

  4. Currently we have a few services, such as bike rental, breakfast, and parking that can be added by the guests while making a reservation.

    However, there are certain situations where we do not want this option to be visible for the guests. An example is guests that come for a specific conference, who book through their own booking engine.

    It would be great if we can turn on/off bookable services for the specific booking engine when requested. We went through all settings, but are unable to find a way to do so.

  5. Turn navigator in a complete concierge, where guest can, on top of what's already available:
    - View all details of the reservation: PRICE, info about the space selected, ...
    - manage the reservation (change dates, cancel it, add or remove guests, ...)
    - purchase stay services (already present in the be) in advance

  7. It would be great if you could add custom fields to a customer profile to save specific information.

    We would need that for example to save information regarding our data privacy policy.

    Hello from the Mews product team. Unfortunately, this request has not received the necessary upvotes to be added to the Mews development roadmap and is unlikely to be delivered. Thank you for sharing your suggestions.
  9. Recently Mews released the "MewsPassportScan" the feature is great! but we feel like its incomplete, if you have used it before, you will agree.

    The feature allows you to scan the guests passport with the webcam of the computer, this then populates the passport fields with one click making the process way smoother, HOWEVER!!!!

    If you have more than one attendant on a booking this feature flaws massively, as you have to create individual user profiles for the additional guests ONE BY ONE!

    This means that from 1 click one guest, it turns in to 8 clicks per guest profile.…

  10. To follow LQA standards, it is required to show the summery of reservation with following information:

    • arrival and departure dates
    • amount of nights
    • rates
    • category of the room

  13. Bitte bieten Sie die Möglichkeit, alle Gästenamen und die Aufteilung auf die Zimmer einzugeben, damit die Anreise gut vorbereitet werden kann (z.B. Kurkarten,...). Auch bei Stammgästen muss immer wieder der zweite Name neu eingetragen werden.

  15. It would be good to get the option to change the timeline view and display the company name instead of guest name / sometimes we need to be able to see which companies have guests staying, now you would have to click into each booking to find this out

  16. We would like to have a direct link from our cashier system to book invoices to a guest profile using an RFID field that would be available in the guest profile. We also have guest accounts that hold more than one RFID. This option will make the administration of invoices a lot easier. Additionally, it will increase guest satisfaction.

  17. Right now as we know Booking.com guests are assigned unique Alias emails for communication/profiles. If a guest receives a confirmation email (despite the property being in German for example) the email is automatically sent in English as Mews will by default sent it in English to any profile that does not have a language associated to it.

    This is despite the property being in a German environment.

  18. When there are several contacts in a company that use the same e-mail address, this should be possible. Now you can only use contact per e-mail.
