  3. In the current Booking Engine, there is a confusing issue with how parent and child space categories are handled. Guests are able to select all beds (child spaces) within a dorm (parent space) and also select the dorm itself. However, when attempting to finalize the reservation, the system displays the following error:

    "We're very sorry, the highlighted categories are not available for the selected dates. Please select another category to proceed with your booking."

    This occurs because the system allows the selection of both parent and child spaces simultaneously, but fails validation only at the final step. This behavior is…

  4. When showing an unbalanced invoice with all charges /items through that staff mode feature, it would be highly advantageous if guests had the option to add a tip—say 10%, 15%, or 20%—directly to the invoice. Once selected, the tip would be automatically added to the total bill.

  6. When we decided to use Mews, a big point was the booking engines features. When searching for a room for 3 or 4 persons, only rooms having 3 or 4 beds where shown for booking.
    Without telling anybody about the change, Mews now shows also rooms having pnly two beds and asked the guest to book more rooms. If a family wants to stay at our resort, the want a room/apartment having 3 or 4 beds, not 2 seperated apartments with 2 beds each. So please make it possible to change this.   7. I realised that the Mews booking engine does not use labels for the form (first name, last name, email address, ...). Autofill won't work properly.

    Most browsers support autofill and I think Mews should make use of that. It will bring more convenience for guests.

  8. Hey team,

    It would be great if we can upload our own favicon on the MEWS distributor links.
    In this way users better understand they are on the hotels brand website.
    And it will help for Google Hotel Search; currently the hotels show with a green generic logo.
    There is the option to request your own logo however following Google’s guidelines the favicon must match the final url:

  9. At the moment every booking service has its own Booking engine. It would be great if the customer could book multiple services in one flow. For example accommodation and parking spaces at the same time.

  11. It would be very helpful if the system recognize a returning guest also by s passport number , date of birth and name , if he often books with different travel agencies.

  13. We need to send automated booking-modification emails triggered based on data updates that may affect the stay cost: dates, rates, room types, number of adults, children... and for which the subject is clearly mentioned as a Modification confirmation email

  14. They want to have personalised vouchers attached to the customer and not the rate. So they could make an individual code that will give special prices for the rates or products for the specific customer

  15. It is strange that "Bookers" are not able to perform 'Confirm' or 'Cancel' actions on an Optional booking as a Booker has generally been tasked with the full flow of creating / updating reservations

    Hello Mewsers,

    We are currently working on expanding segmentation reporting in Mews.

    Soon you will be able to “group by” booking source which will show you the original source a reservation was created in before it is passed to the the channel manager, and finally Mews.

  18. We would like to customize the occupancy in the booking engine, so that we have the posibility to manage the amount of available houses for sale.

    For example, when there is one house left in each house type, it should not be possible to sell in the Booking engine to avoid overbooking, so it is only possible to book by contacting us directly.

It would make more sense if guests could fill in all the details that are needed in the registration form during the process of creating their booking on the website, instead of by online check-in form 48 hours before check-in. This way, you will have 100% online check-in guaranteed for direct bookings.

    I am also curious about your perspective on how that could impact the conversion? If we make the booking process more complex by asking for more information, isn't that a risk that more guests would abandon before completing the purchase?

  20. Add a QR Code or so to the rooms, so the guest can use the direct chat to get in contact with the Hotel from the room and just just via the Emails.
