  1. To enable Mews Digital Keys onsite through the Mews Kiosk. Expansion of Digital Key not only through Guest Portal online check in functionality but also onsite at Kiosk.

  2. The main guest should be able to invite a companion to complete Online check in regardless of whether it is required or not for the property's legal environment.

    This will allow properties who currently don't have this option to have a better check in experience for both guests staying on the reservation.

  3. When guests check-in online, we still require them to come to the Front Desk to provide an ID and their home address. Capturing it during the Mews guest journey makes more sense. Guests often say "what is the point of checking in online if I have to come to the Front Desk anyway." The "online check-in" thus annoys the guests as having to do extra work.

  4. When the visitor of our booking street clicks on a date on which we have no availability, he or she will receive the advice to select another date or to contact our reception (by e-mail or by telephone). Currently it is impossible to change this text.

    We notice that our reception is now receiving many calls regarding our availability. In most cases, the caller reacts with disappointment, because providing these contact details incorrectly suggests that a room is still available.

    The option to change this text would be greatly appreciated.

    we are currently changing the way how we will show no avaliability and we will put this change into it as well, so we are minimizing the impact on the property.

  5. It would be great to be able to customize the requirements for a Kiosk Check. This would allow us to collect information that is not part of any legal environment based on our location.

    Right now we ask guests to utilize the kiosk but when it cannot collect all the information we need for a check in it sits unused.

  6. As we have many returning guests, we need to know which customer belongs to the same family. It would be great to merch Children to their parents and a wife to her husband and visa versa.

    Like this we get to know our guests better and the booking process for future stays will be even easier.

  9. To place a limit on the number of rooms available to be booked in one go. Many properties consider 9+ rooms a group reservation that has different payment, cancellation and packaging rules. Currently one person could book out the entire hotel before being able to apply a dynamic rate adjustment to increasing occupancy.

  10. When using voucher code, only display voucher rate attached to it.
    The use case: sometimes the rate attached to the voucher code can be actually more expensive than the standard rate (corporate rate) and customer should not see the cheaper ones.

  11. As many guests utilize online check-in before arrival, it is currently designed to ask for only legally required details as part of the form. Many properties, however, would prefer to collect specific pieces of data that may not be included as part of that legal obligation. For this reason, implementing optional or customizable fields for online check-in would help properties to prioritize the data that is valuable to them.

    Hi everyone, we know this idea was logged a long time ago and we thank you for the feedback and ideas about how to improve the system. We do keep an eye on these requests and how they're progressing and we recognise we have room to improve in terms of providing feedback.


    This idea has become a large group of different requests, so I want to clarify the intention and progress related to this. Please do reply and comment as necessary.


    We have previously made progress towards a big part of the original intent of this idea by introducing a 'Check in form' configuration in Mews Operations. You can find more details on this in our help guides here. We are not yet marking this as complete until we deliver some further enhancements to which guests the data can be configured for. We plan to share more on this…

    Hello Mewsers,

    We are currently working on expanding segmentation reporting in Mews.

    Soon you will be able to “group by” booking source which will show you the original source a reservation was created in before it is passed to the the channel manager, and finally Mews.
