Title (Salutations, honorifics, etc.)
Quite often, we have guests staying who have an title as a prefix to their name (Sir, Dame, Dr,, Prof., Lady, Lord, etc) and we would like the possibility to add this as an official title to the guest profile in addition to the basic Mr. Mrs. and Ms.
Additionally, as mentioned in another idea as well, adding Mx. or Fam. could be helpful as well.
Hello from the Mews product team. Thank you for your suggestion, we have updated your request and set it as one to be upvoted by the Mews Community. Remember you can share a link to your request so that your colleagues can also upvote your suggestion.

We also use religious titles so this would be amazing. Stuff like Fr. Sr. Br. Rev. etc.

Like Elpida and Leif,
as many others wrote, in English, important would be
Mx.
as far as I know, there is no equivalent in German.
also maybe• Herr Dr. med. / Frau Dr. med.
• Herr Prof. Dr. / Frau Prof. Dr. -

like Elpida
If it´s not separate:
Herr Dr. / Frau Dr.
Herr Prof. / Frau Prof. -

What we definitely need is:
Frau /Mrs.
Herr / Mr.
Dr.
Prof.
Ing.
The Miss may also be removed? -

We actually would need this asap.
We are tracking several complaints about this by guests, seeming ignorant to their title. Marriage status is not that important as title actually is.
Putting it in the first or last name field doesn't help anyone either cause reservations cannot be found that way. -

We would love to see "Sr." and "Sra." in Spanish and "M." and "Mme." in French. Thank you so much for considering it!

This is one of several threads about this topic. Everything has been said and surely it cannot be that hard to add more titles?
What is the problem?
Sometimes we feel back in the stone age by using mews. -

I have a Doctor booked in as a guest and he definitely wants to be addressed as such, evident by calling him Mr and being corrected. The team will not know to call him Doctor on arrival if it isn't logged this way. Can you please add Dr to the titles list. I see the original request goes back to March 2022, can we fast track this request please.

Hi,
Can we please have the following honorific for guest as we are a high standard resort and need this option.

Saskia Dahmen commented
Guests expect to be addressed by title, otherwise it looks like you are ignoring it, especially because it can be stored in our current system and you can see it directly when the guest checks in.

please consider to have the drop down menue in the order Mr., Mrs, etc... or let the property chose the titles to be used at that property.....and let Mr. , Mrs be at the top as they are the most used titles.....I just come from an "older" PMS where you had to scroll down to Mr. for each and every time you created a guest account... whats needed most, must be on top, if not be set on default !!!

What Christian said! Miss is really not okay anymore, please remove that. We do miss a field for the title (only with Dr., Prof. and such, no Mr. oder Mrs.) and would not complain if the "sex" column would disappear. Nobody cares about that, everybody is welcome.

In the profile, there should be the title options Dr. / Prof. / Prof. Dr.
Additionally, there should also be a "Other" option for gender. -

Even in our modern times guests like to be addressed by their title, Dr / Prof etc.
Please add this field. At the moment we add the title to the last name dr doe but if you search for doe, you do not find reserveration. Only under dr ..... -

Would love to see this implemented swiftly- In this day and age it's the bare minimum! Would be a lot more hospitable if we at least get the mx option!

This is urgently needed!
Pity to see that such a progressive company as Mews doesn't included the basic options like Mx. | Dr. | Prof. . -

The difference between Mrs. and Ms is not common in Austria or Germany. Please Mews reconsider the fields "title"and "sex". Dr. Prof. or others should not be part of the fields "first name" or "last name". Basically "title" rather asks about the marriage status.

In an openminded world or openminded city and with an openminded PMS salutations like Mr., Mrs. and Ms. are not enough.
Please add at least Mx. Actually we had several complaints from guests AND staff that we are ignoring other genders.
Best would be: Make a list with salutations, honorifics and titles for the registration card. The admin can choose which ones should be offered to the guest/staff.
I know that not every MEWS user needs all these honorifics, salutations or titles, but a bigger list with the most common abbreviations should be possible.
Mr.
Mrs.
Ms.
Mx.
Dr.
Prof. For me this is not an idea that needs to be upvoted. This is a basic when facing with customers/people.
