Allow Kiosk Check-in for Dirty Rooms
Enable guests to check in via the kiosk even if the assigned room is still marked as "Dirty" (e.g. early arrival). Add an optional feature to send an SMS to the guest once the room is cleaned and ready, informing them they can now go to the reception or receive their key.

Redesign the UI of booking engine
The design of the booking engine in MEWS feels somewhat outdated, and it would be great if the MEWS design team could suggest a more modern appearance. It’s a shame that the hotel’s logo at the top left is so small.

Development of linked profiles
Now we can link profiles together. A very good development.
As a next step, it would be helpful if we could not only use these links manually, but also automate the processes.For example, I create a new reservation. If I now want to add fellow travellers, I currently have to check the profile to see if there are any linked profiles, and then laboriously type in and search for the names of the linked profiles as before.
It would be advantageous if the linked profiles were automatically displayed in this step. Ideally with showing the saved relationship.

Improve information displayed for payment requests in guest profiles
When a customer completes a required pre-authorization in the booking engine, a payment request is automatically created and displayed on the guest profile. Currently, this payment request appears with the message “payment for reservation”, which can be misleading. Additionally, the payment request does not indicate which user or process created it.
As a result, it’s difficult to identify that the request originated from the pre-authorization process without manually cross-referencing timestamps within the system.
Proposed Improvements:
Display the user or system process that created the payment request (e.g., Booking Engine – Pre-Authorization).
Update the message text to clearly reflect the context…

Shortened URLs for sharing booking links
It would be really useful to have an option to shorten booking links directly within the platform, without having to rely on external websites like bit.ly or others. Currently, the booking link in Mews can get very long, which isn't ideal for sharing.
I think this addition would improve the user experience, making it more efficient and streamlined.

Ready system for eID
With the upcoming introduction of an eID in Switzerland, the ID/Passport scanning function should be updated to be able to read QR codes and access Switzerland's eID system.
Also online check-in should allow guests to connect their eID if wanted, next to manually filling in all data.

Returning guest loyalty per property
As guest profiles are shared across multiple properties, at the time of check in we can see the guest is a returning guest, but we can't see how they actually stayed with us in that particular property (unless you open guests dashboard, extra 2-3 clicks).
This doesn't present the best customer experience, as we can't see in which brand or hotel they have stayed previously, so we can't welcome them back or introduce them to the brand/hotel appropriately.
It would be good to see how many times the guest has stayed in the selected property at the time of check…37 votes -
Send before start mail at anytime
Hello!
Unfortunately, before start emails are not send for reservations created after the checkin time on the day of arrival (last Minute bookings). There should be an option to have those emails sent at any point, regardless of time.

Ability to Restrict Certain Rate Codes from Kiosk Check-In
We need the option to block specific rate codes from being eligible for self check-in via the kiosk. Some rates require guests to check in at the reception in order to present valid identification and/or to pay using specific payment methods that are not supported by the kiosk

Transfer guest contact details from tablet to guest profile
We can use a tablet where the guests would enter their contact details and that would automatically get transferred to Mews guests profile - without the full self check-in process.

Have the ability configure different sender emails on the email template level.

Add Address as fields to Booking Engine
When booking through the Booking Engine, guests are not asked for their address, this only happens when they perform the check-in online.
Please request it when booking through the Booking Engine so that we don't need to register address at physical check-in.

Enhanced Blocklist Notifications
Currently, the blocklist feature prevents blocklisted individuals from making new reservations.
However, if a guest is added to the blocklist after a reservation is already created and confirmed, the stay proceeds without any alerts or warnings.
Proposed Enhancement:
Introduce notifications that flag blocklisted accounts when an existing reservation is detected. This would allow hotels to take proactive measures—such as reviewing the booking or contacting the guest—to avoid accepting the stay.3 votes -
Better space upgrade feature
Hello,
We would like to offer space upgrade during the online check in but the current feature is missing a few options in our opinion:
- We cannot be notified when a guest upgrades their room during the online check in
- Upgrades are hard to track and they do not appear on the planning (contrary to manual upgrades) .
- No report can indicate the additional revenue that we generated that way
- We would like to be able to put a time limit on upgrade availability (for example, no upgrades past 3PM the day of) as to not impact housekeeping planning too…

It would be nice to be able to attach images or PDF files to specific invoices, both as internal reference as well as for guests' purview, in case of forwarded costs from an external receipt - e.g.: an external laundry service that doesn't accrue any service fees from the hotel's side, but just gets posted 1:1 on the client's bill with 0% VAT.

Everyone has an AI chatbot, at that is going to be the future of all online operations. My suggestion is that Mews allows for a custom script (for a AI-chatbot widget) in the booking engine settings.

Turn off automatic e-mails for specific rates
I would like the possibility to turn off e-mails for specific rates. We have travel agencies where the customer books directly from them and then the travel agency will book the nights directly from our website. However, now the guest will automatically receive a confirmation and a price that is not correct since they booked it through an agency who have set up a package price for them.
As it is now, we are excluded from being part of some of these packages and from being a supplier to some agencies because of this.

Mail templates - dynamically derive from common master templaze
Currently consistent and easy branding of email templates is tedious.
But, I have an idea: there are some “mews” row templates within the template editor, could we get a way to create “property” or “enterprise” level rows? That way we could insert those master rows in the templates and have a central place to edit them all across the board.
same for some common settings, like font style or some other custom css properties that could be managed and edited from on place, like a master template/setting.the idea is to separate styling & branding from content.

Automatic mail translations
Currently, we have four Houses, each with its own set of individual mailings. This results in 104 different emails in our native language alone. When translating these into two additional languages, we end up managing 208 separate email templates. Every time we make a change to one email, we must manually update all corresponding translations.
It would be highly beneficial to have an automated translation system for all text elements within the emails. The same applies to products, where automated translations would also be a great improvement.

zunächst möchten wir betonen, wie zufrieden wir mit Ihrem PMS sind. MEWS ist aus unserer Sicht ein hervorragend durchdachtes System, das viele Prozesse im Hotelalltag effizient und intuitiv gestaltet – dafür ein großes Kompliment!
Dennoch möchten wir einen konkreten Verbesserungsvorschlag zum Angebotsmanagement anregen:
Aktuell führt die Angebotsdarstellung bei Gruppenanfragen (z. B. bei einer Buchung von 10 Zimmern) zu einer sehr unübersichtlichen Darstellung. Der Gast erhält eine lange Liste einzelner Zimmerangebote, was die Übersichtlichkeit und Vergleichbarkeit stark einschränkt.
Zudem ist es derzeit nicht möglich, die verschiedenen Zimmerkategorien mit ihren jeweiligen Preisen separat und klar strukturiert darzustellen. Dies erschwert sowohl…3 votes
