  2. We have several guests who request to have the same (or similar) unit as they stayed in before. currently when looking at the guest profile, it is impossible to see what unit number they stayed in unless you open each reservation card.

    Is there a way so that this displays on the dashboard and perhaps rather than using the place cards use a one line list which displays all information in a clearer view similar to the orders view (i.e. res number / cancelled or stayed / arrival and departure date / unit type / unit number / rate code…

  3. After sending the confirmation email to the guest, if any modification are done afterward, the guest do not see them on their preview. Unfortunatelly the system does not update accordingly, we always need to send a new confirmation email. It would be really nice if all the time when we make a modification or add an item, the guests can see it as well on their preview. So we would not need to send a new confirmation email always.

  5. Upon not finishing a booking, having mews register the reason for not completing the reservation.
    Registering the "missed" reservations and the quantity and reason could help sales optimize potential revenue.
    This could be done with a small box saying what is the reason for not completing the reservation? (price too high, no availability, test booking etc)

  6. Add cash option or temporary skip option to check-in with the kiosk.
    We are trying to work Paperless, and the kiosk gives us this option. However, when someone pays cash we have to stop the entire check in process because we cannot proceed without card payment for the check-in.

  8. Have a generic QR code to promote online check-in and enable guests to complete online check-in with their name and reservation number.

    Guests do not always keep the emails sent, so the code could be displayed in the hotel lobby, if guests are standing in the check-in queue this could be a prompt to complete the online check-in and save them time.

  9. When we decided to use Mews, a big point was the booking engines features. When searching for a room for 3 or 4 persons, only rooms having 3 or 4 beds where shown for booking.
    Without telling anybody about the change, Mews now shows also rooms having pnly two beds and asked the guest to book more rooms. If a family wants to stay at our resort, the want a room/apartment having 3 or 4 beds, not 2 seperated apartments with 2 beds each. So please make it possible to change this.   11. With regards to our highest room category, which is our ******, we have a price increase for additional guests from CHF 50 to CHF 70,-/each and for children from CHF 30,- to CHF 35,-/each as of 1st January 2023!

  12. Heya - the current set-up in Mews allows for commission rates to be set to travel agencies.

    For GDS rates, this can be tricky, as you have to create each agency, and not all GDS rates are commissionable.

    I would like to suggest the possibility of indicating on a rate if it is commissionable or not, and what the commission rate is for the rate.

    I know it will become complicated if you have a commissionable rate, booked by a T/A which has a commission set up to it. But maybe it should be the rate that determines the commission…

  13. When a guest uses the online check-out he/she has no company details at all, while the company name is already in the reservation. Would be good when the guest sees the company name without being able to edit it. Otherwise he thinks the company is not in the reservation and we risk that he/she changes the guest name for the company name.

  14. To get a quick idea of an arriving guest, it would be very useful to see how often the guest has returned to the property.
    The current symbol of a returning guest is not enough. There is difference between guests that have returned once or guests that have returned 30 times!

    It would be very helpful to see the number of stays counting from 1 to ....
    It's also a standard information in other PMS.

  15. Kiosk Check-In.

    If something happens during the guest's stay and we have to get in touch with our colleague who checked the guest in, it would be much easier if we have the option to choose the name of the employee who is checking in the guest.
    At this current state, when you check someone in via kiosk, the action log will say that "Mews Operator (Mews Kiosk)" has checked the guest in and not the name of the person!

  16. Groups quotations links are working a miracle. However, there is potentially simple and significant space for improvement.

    When guest follows the link, in Mews BE nothing presellected and guest have to go over and over and add the room types and pax. Even if they will select correct number of pax, but locate just 1 to different room type as per what the quotation was prepared for, it won't go through and you won't know why. If, however all will be preselected, guest would only have to go through the extras and payment pages.

  17. We are a charity who provide accommodation for people at a greatly subsidised cost. We would like the online check out to prompt/ask guests if they would like to make a donation during the online check out process and to ask if they are Gift Aid eligible as part of that. It is similar to retailers who ask you to donate when paying online to their chosen charities and would make a huge difference to us.
