Send an automated email notification to make reservations aware there is a guest message waiting. This would save the team having to check MEWS messenger as well as emails.

hide restricted rates in commander reservation screen
It would be much more comfortable if there were only available rates in the rate selection of the reservation screen. especially if the rate should not apply to the space category.

Fill in an transaction date for card payment by terminal or external payments
There is no space to register the date of an card payment by terminal or an external payment, like a wire transfer. This is needed to keep the accounting reports correct, when a wire transfer is registed not on the same day.

The currency exchange rate to be taken from xe.com Since Xero gets the currency exchange fee from XE.com Its necessary to have the same for not having a discrepancy.

Split charges on bill
It's quite common for guests to book accommodation together, meaning that when they're ready to pay, they would like to split charges evenly or with some other percentage. Currently this is not possible in Mews, but an additional feature could allow billing charges to be split according to guest preferences before payment.

Improve the identification of the hotel we are logged in (when working on more than 1 hotel)
When managing different hotels, it is hard to see on which hotel you are logged in. Everything is Black/White. The only thing to differentiate is the small logo on the right corner. (As our logos are also B/W, you have to look carefully). If we could set the whole background in a specific colour, we could differentiate more easily and avoid mistakes... The aim is above all to identify more clearly on which hotel you are logged in. The colour is just an idea.

Add more colour options to PowerBI dashboards
The dashboards are very blue and it is not so easy to read the data as everything blends into one. The MEWS University training videos show blue and orange for example which work really well together but the MEWS user dashboards are consigned to blue only. Please allow blue/orange for users too in the first instance and then work towards allowing fully tailorable colourways by clients. Thanks.

overwriting our fixed rates incl. breakfast, results in rates excl. breakfast
When clicking on the rate (incl. breakfast) when making a reservation in commander, since the overwrite update of last week, results in a rate excl. breakfast. Also, if we change the rate here, breakfast is only added in the next screen. We only sell room rates incl. breakfast, so this is not really desirable. could the rate stay incl. breakfast, in our configuration?

Receivable invoice
Whenever we have an outstanding bill (from Travel Agent for example) we have to move it to a fake profile until its closed. If we issue invoice without the payment it states that we have refund (in the billing and the payment report).
This amount is the deducted even though we have not made a refund.I would suggest to make this action proper and not classify an outstanding as a refund as they are totally different concepts.

update Dashboard diagrams SPACES status
The diagram of status on SPACES shows only counting of 4 separate categories, in our case on a certain date:
72 Dirty
23 Clean
99 Inspected
2 Out of Service
However on this particular date the number of OUT OF ORDER is 5, which is more than the 2 Out of service.
This information is not now not on the dashboard because? (font size to large to fit in the diagram, or is the Diagram too small to show everything? I think it is important that we see also the 5 (!) in the diagram

Upload photos for each department and apartment or room
Create a section by departments (Housekeeping, maintenance, Customer service ...) in which, you can upload photos by apartments or rooms to know incidents and the whole team can see it.

Good News! It is my pleasure to announce we have started a Beta of an improvement to our search bar that will allow users, among many things, to easily find the unassigned reservations that are causing the infamous red line on the timeline!
If this is a common need, you can even save this search as a favorite (with the star icon on the search bar) and avoid having to type it!
