  2. Currently, the cancellation tag in the MEWS booking engine is not flexible enough.

    The logic is fixed on the system side:

    Cancellation on the day of arrival = automatically 2:00 p.m. or defined check-in time.

    Cancellation X days before arrival = automatically 12:00 a.m.

    Individual cancellation times cannot be displayed. Rates such as “cancellable until 6:00 p.m. on the day of arrival” or “14 days before arrival until 2:00 p.m.” cannot be displayed correctly.

    A manual adjustment of the time per rate in the cancellation tag would be necessary in order to display the cancellation conditions correctly and transparently.

  3. It would be useful if you could also see the address when merging the companies and travel agencies. Often there are branches that only differ in their address. This is not apparent from the current comparison.

    Ideally, I could also decide right here whether the address should be transferred. This would avoid the subsequent deletion action because both addresses are currently transferred.

  4. When using the calendar view and adding a restriction, after saving, you are automatically redirected to the list of restrictions, which means leaving the calendar view. Therefore, after each addition, you need to go back to the calendar and reapply the filters to display the desired dates.

    I considered the solution of opening two windows—one to keep the calendar view open and the other to create restrictions. However, this does not solve the problem: when a restriction is created in one window, the other window needs to be refreshed to display it, and this refresh resets the filters and returns…

  5. When moving items to a new bill, it will be great if we could have more options to filter the bills. For example, now, if we were to choose "Another Company" it will show all bills open on that company profile. But when we have hundreds of bills open (especially when created through billing automations), it is very hard to know which one is which. Ability to filter with the associated profile would be very useful.

  6. Whenever you create a block, Mews makes a "virtual rate code" for the group block. This becomes a nightmare when collecting rate code data from Mews API. Especially when ONLY American English is auto-generated for short name. Default language is based on user, not property so if one user has something else than American English, then the rate code name in database becomes blank. it should auto generate in american english short name no matter what language user uses.

  7. When nested spaces and standalone spaces share the same physical inventory and is part of the same space category, their availability is linked. The system
    should recognize that their availability is not linked when it comes to optimization of space assignment as reservation on the nested space does not automatically means it can be moved to the standalone space.

    Can we please implement a log for user management actions?
    Right now, there is no tracking in place to see who created, deleted, or modified a user. Adding this log will help us monitor changes, ensure accountability, and maintain accurate records.

  11. Allow for multiple versions of the same parent space/room linked with different combinations of child rooms.

    For example, create Villa 1 with (101 as the parent) and 102, 103 and 104 as the children, but we also want to create Villa 1 connector (with 101 as the parent and only 102 as the connecting suite).

  12. We're new to MEWS and whilst the functionality is brilliant (thank you), our front of house team really struggle with the visual appearance of the timeline. Spending lots of screen time on a screen with poor visual appearance and contrasts is not healthy and inefficient as it is difficult to see the timeline at a glance - please could you look at improving visual contrasts both colours and lines between dates/spaces for improved accessibility.

  13. Es ist unglaublich nervig, dass ich, wenn ich eine neue Reservierung manuell anlege, nicht sofort alle Daten wie z.B. die Adresse des Gastes oder die zugewiesene Firma eingeben kann. Warum kann man das Fenster dafür nicht erweitern?

    It's incredibly annoying that when I create a new reservation manually, I can't immediately enter all the details, such as the guest's address or the assigned company. Why can't the window be expanded for this?

  15. We often have large groups of guests with on all rooms the same items booked. If we make a mistake, or something changes in the booking, we have to go room by room to cancel the wrong item. It would be great that if you select rooms with the same items on them, ( because you add the items to all the roms at the same time) you can also remove them all together.

  17. Problem
    It is currently not possible to add tasks to group or block reservations. In addition, tasks in general are not searchable, which makes it very difficult to track what has been done or what is still pending — especially for group bookings.

    Operational impact
    For group bookings, we need to manage important milestones such as:

    Name list deadlines

    Booking cut-off dates

    Client follow-ups

    Today, these tasks cannot be linked to the block itself, and since tasks are not searchable, it is almost impossible to get an overview of tasks related to a specific group or block. This leads to…

  18. In other systems we had before we could see in the mobil versjon who created the task and who have updateded it. it would be greate if we could see it in the mews app aswell. I can see that in mews desktop versjon i can see this info, but its much better to have it in the app aswell since our technical department only take with their phone when they go out to do a task.

  19. The Excel rooming list can now only be uploaded once and not more. When trying another upload, it is not possible. We often have group rooming lists who change a lot and it would be easy if we can "upload" new rooming lists and override the old ones by just one click (also owner/guest function) and all other information like phone number, e-mail address, country, etc.

  20. Description
    When adjusting a reservation’s arrival or departure date or time, the existing room lock is currently removed. This creates a risk that the lock is forgotten and the room is unintentionally reassigned, which leads to operational issues for the front desk and reservations teams.

    Feature request
    Please ensure that when arrival or departure dates or times are changed, the existing room lock on the space is retained automatically. This would remove the need for staff to manually remember to reapply the lock and reduce errors in daily operations.
