Automatically cancel payment requests when a booking is cancelled
Problem:
When we create a booking, we send the guest a payment request linked to the reservation. However, if the booking is later cancelled, the payment request remains active and must be cancelled manually.Solution:

Preview on Reservation Modifications
One important area for future improvement is the reservation amendment process. Currently, when modifying an existing reservation, such as changing dates, room type, or number of guests, there is no option to preview the updated rate or any supplemental charges before saving the changes. Staff must first apply the amendment in order to view the new pricing and communicate it to the guest. This creates operational challenges, as there is no reliable way to revert the reservation back to its original details and rates if the guest declines the updated pricing. Request Arrival Time
The reservation form needs a prompt to allow the guest to indicate their desired arrival time. As a small property, managing our staff is very important. If a guest isn't arriving until 11pm, we need to know that ahead of time. There should be a mechanism displaying the default arrival time and allowing the guest the option to adjust it. Having a guest arrive at 3pm versus 9pm makes a big difference for staffing and housekeeping.

Permit Restriction Names
My restrictions list is very long- different rooms have different restrictions and I have to create a restriction for every single holiday when I want a different nightly booking minimum (e.g. 2 nights or 3 nights). When looking at the long list, it would be A LOT faster for me to know why I created a specific restriction if you would allow me to name it myself. For example, my restriction for 5/22-5/25 that requires a 3 night stay, I could name "Memorial Day" instead of having to figure out from the dates why I created that specific restriction.

Verfügbarkeit
Wenn man über das Plus Zeichen eine neue Reservierung eingeben möchte, dann sieht man unten alle Kategorien und alle Raten.
Wenn ich nun die Kategorien nach unten scrollen muss, um zB die Verfügbarkeit der Kategorie 9 zu sehen, dann sehe ich zwar die Raten, aber die Namen der Raten nicht mehr. Ich muss mir also merken, welche Rate an erster Stelle steht?Ich wünsche mir, dass der Balken der Ratennamen mit nach unten fährt.

BELGIUM PEPPOL + PDF INVOICE
Via Peppol mogen alleen XML-bestanden worden verstuurd. Om toch een PDF mee te sturen, moet deze geëmbed worden in de XML (gecodeerd), zodat er technisch nog steeds slechts één XML-bestand wordt verzonden.
Helaas is het niet verplicht om een pdf mee te sturen via Peppol. Daarom vraag ik of het mogelijk is om toch telkens de PDF te embedden in de XML?
Zonder pdf is het voor onze klant moeilijk om facturen te lezen, te controleren en te boeken.

Stornierungsgrund
Bitte fügt als zusätzlichen Stornierungsgrund "Krankheit" hinzu. Dies ist der meist genannte Grund für eine Stornierung. Wenn ich "Sonstiges" auswähle und dann als Detail "Krankheit" eingebe, wird auf der Rechnung mit den Stornogebühren als Grund "Sonstiges" angezeigt. Wenn der Gast diese Rechnung seiner Versicherung einreicht für die Rückerstattung, ist diese Formulierung sehr unglücklich, dort müsste zwingend "Krankheit" stehen. Covid-19 als Grund könnt ihr gerne entfernen, diesen Grund brauchen wir zum Glück schon länger nicht mehr.

Validate Child Room Continuous Room Availability Before Confirming Bookings
When a booking is made on a space type that shares units across multiple parent spaces (e.g., room type "Deluxe Room" spread across Villa A, Villa B, Villa C), Mews should validate whether the full duration of the stay can be accommodated in a single unit — not just whether the stay can be distributed across units within the same space type.

Move multiple reservations altogether on the timeline
Bulk select multiple reservations in a group and move them altogether in one movement from one series of spaces to another. At this stage, we have to individually select each reservation to change the space, which can take time for large groups.

Breakfast List
Hi,
As my breakfast team is not using Mews, my reception team has to print a breakfast list for them every morning.
At the moment, we are using the “Guests in House” report, but it only includes the bookable breakfasts and not the additional breakfasts. Therefore, the report is incomplete.
My other idea was simply to use the Product Checklist and print it with Ctrl+P. However, not all rooms are visible in the printed version. The list displayed in Mews is almost twice as long as the one being printed, as the print version generally cuts off after the 4th…

Cancel bookable service together with room reservation
Besides the stay service we work with parking and bicycles. For example if the guests books a room including car park, the parking spot will be added as a "parking" service and gets assigned a unique reservation number.
The problem that occurs now is that the room and parking are not linked together; meaning that when the room gets cancelled or amended, the parking spot will stay as it is and will need to be cancelled or amended manually.
We are looking for a way to link the two types of spaces together.

When reissuing bills with rebate items, the Segment for Deposit is no longer Seperated
When the bill is closed with a deposit, it clearly states on the bill that there is a deposit in a separate segment of the bill.
However, the problem is when the bill gets reissued. The deposit item is no longer in seperate segment.As it is now registered as an "additional" expense item, it now gets only put under the top part of the bill under the stay package.
The clearer way would be to keep it in a separate segment (Similar to how we bring back payments on original bills)

Timeline improvements: colors, OTA icons, guest count & payment status
Hello everyone,
We would like to suggest a few improvements to the timeline in Mews that could significantly enhance usability:
Better color customization
The current grey shades are very similar and hard to distinguish. More contrast or customizable colors would improve readability.OTA/source icons on reservations
Adding icons (Booking.com, Expedia, Direct, etc.) would make it much easier to instantly identify the booking source.Guest count visible on timeline
Showing the number of guests directly on each reservation would greatly help with quick planning and overview.Payment status indicator

Manual added items should follow product timing setting
We would like to suggest an improvement to how products are added manually in Mews.
When a product is configured with timing: "reservation end", this should also apply when the product is added manually under the booking --> "Items".
Currently, manually added products default to the arrival date, which requires manual correction every time.
This would be especially useful for products such as:
- Extra cleaning after pets
- Pickup of additional items (e.g. linen, towels, baby chair, etc.)
These types of products should always be posted at the end of the stay, as the service is performed after departure.

Wish for improved color contrast for "Check-out Today" vs. "Check-in Today

We would like to request a minor adjustment to the color coding on our reservation timeline to improve our daily workflow and reduce manual errors.
The Issue:
Currently, both "Check-out Today" and "Check-in Today" use a very similar shade of blue. When the booking department and reception team is assisting guests with stay extensions or late check-out requests, it is difficult to distinguish between a guest who is due to depart today and the guest who is to arrive when looking at the same room to checkin and out of. Timeline: Introducing Colour-Coding for Key Booking Insights

I would like to share a suggestion regarding the Timeline view, which has a huge yet unexpressed potential.
While visually clean, it does not leverage one of the most powerful tools for operational efficiency: colour-coding.
Color can instantly convey information that, otherwise, requires opening each booking or navigating multiple sections. Introducing colour indicators directly on the Timeline could transform it into a true operational dashboard, providing immediate, high-impact insights for the front office and reservations teams.
Here are some examples of what colour-coding could highlight:
• Payment Status (e.g., prepaid, pending, partially paid, failed)

Labelling of guests
It would be great if we could label the bookings individually and make sure that this is everywhere visible.
Example: Speakers from the seminar
We make do with the top management classification in the guest profile, but even this is not obvious everywhere.
I expect to see this information in the booking overview of a group, for example, without having to expand the reservation. And it must be visible in the timeline.
In addition, this is a classification that does not belong to the guest profile, but to the individual room reservation. After all, the speaker could arrive later as…21 votes -
Associate Profile Being Copied When Moving Items Within the Same Customer Billing
By default, Mews only moves the line items, but does not transfer the associated profile when items are moved within the same customer. We need to have the associated profile be copied to the new bill when moving the items
