  1. Different email templates (confirmation/ prestay++) for different seasons

    Situated in the middle of the mountains of Norway we run very differently summer and winter. Mews is great with giving the customers helpful information before the stay which makes it much easier for us at the reception. But: we need to re-write the templates two - three times per year, adjust them to winter info/ summer info/ autumn info.
    Maybe this is special for us, but I wonder if not also bigger hotels could think of adjusting pre-information to seasons like x-mas and summer breaks.

  2. Offer Pay by Invoice to certain companies linked to a voucher or based on rate. We would like to offer certain companies that have a voucher code to book direct with us the option to pay via invoice instead of having to fill in card details.

  3. Allow Admin Users to create an internal group to facilitate group messages between staff. Right now they can only select staff one by one.

  4. Being able to offer a voucher / promo code that allows for a price reduction from the booking amount. E.g. using code "Spring100" in the booking engine to receive a 100 € discount on the price. That is sometimes more effective than offering a %-discount.

  6. We are experiencing attempts to get employees to login to a false login-site, where a thirdparty is then mirroring the login credentials, and gets access to the account without the employee knowing. We wish the security level increased. here is some suggetions:
    - Messages in case of login attempts on a new device, and the new login should be approved
    - Possibility to limit login only to onsite IP-adresses
    - Other security measures

  7. We are struggling with late check in after the front desk staff has gone home.

    for example, a person books 21:00 arrives 23:00 but the front desk went home 20:00.

    The guest got assigned to a dirty room and the kiosk lets the person check in.
    Would like MEWS to assign the guest to inspected rooms first. And stop the guest to check in to a dirty room.

  8. The cleaning status of the parent room should also change automatically if the parent room is booked with two seperate reservations. F.e. If both reservations checked in -> parent room should change to same status of both reservations. The same applies if both rooms have been checked out.
    At the moment housekeeping has to change the status of the parent room manually.

  10. When using digital solutions and integrations, accurate timing is crucial.

    In Mews, the selected arrival time does not always match the exact check-in time when using automated check-in. Sometimes, there can be an additional delay of up to 10 minutes before the reservation is fully checked in, causing issues—for instance, when promising guests "check-in at 3 PM" and having an automated flow dependent on the exact check-in time.

    By implementing an option like "Start check-in X minutes before arrival time," each property could individually accommodate this delay, significantly improving the guest experience.

  11. After a phising attack, or an unallowed log in into the system, it would be helpful when MEWS sends immediately a note to the affected user and parallel to a defined admin user and a general mailaccount. We made the experience that after a phising attack there was lost a lot of time.
    6 days after the attack to a login from a user we got the information to one undefined Admin User who is working part time on Friday Evening. 10 more days later we got further information also to non specifc Admin user. In case of a cyber…

  13. Can we please create a feature to block room charges for so no one can add any unnecessary charges to rooms

    Right now, we are only commenting on bookings that should be on a no post basis, but of course there is human error at one point or another and it is sometimes easy to miss the comment especially when there are multiple information on the booking, and we end up not getting paid for these services sometimes

  14. Our establishment has to deal with numerous overbookings and, following discussions with your support team, we were told that Mews does not have any features designed to prevent this situation. Overbookings are a nightmare for responsible hoteliers, who have to find alternative accommodation at their own expense if no solution can be found internally, and they have a negative impact on the satisfaction of the guests affected.   15. If possible a dog icon would be very nice.
    So we could see in the timeline which guests/rooms have dogs. This would be helpful in case we have to mova a room (to another dog friendly room) . Also our staff from housekeeping could directly see which rooms have dogs. :)

  16. It would be much more efficient if we could add a new payment method directly while creating a reservation—without needing to first create a profile or open a separate tab. Many of us finalize reservations without a payment method initially, so having this option in the same workflow would really streamline the process.

  19. Zurzeit sind nur Reservationsnotizen im Mews-App ersichtlich. Dabei fehlen aber die Notizen vom Gast (z.B. wünscht zwei Kissen). Ist es möglich, dass die Gästenotizen mit der Rubrik "Housekeeping" auch auf der Mews-App hinterlegt sind? Somit muss die Rezeption die Notizen nicht jedesmal kopieren.
