  1. Besides the stay service we work with parking and bicycles. For example if the guests books a room including car park, the parking spot will be added as a "parking" service and gets assigned a unique reservation number.

    The problem that occurs now is that the room and parking are not linked together; meaning that when the room gets cancelled or amended, the parking spot will stay as it is and will need to be cancelled or amended manually.

    We are looking for a way to link the two types of spaces together.

  2. Need a Daily or Monthly General Journal entry using GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Practices) - double entry (Debit and Credit) to import into Quickbooks Accounting Software.

  3. Being able to bulk update reservations in the future when a price of a product changed. When a price of a product change we have to cancel the product reservation by reservation and add it again. It's not convenient at all. It would be nice to be able to update lot's of reservations at the same time.

  4. I would like a confirmation for packages without mentioning all products from the reservation. These products are set as “Bill as package” anyway and are not shown separately on the guest's bill either. Just mentioning the rate name and total amount on the confirmation would be sufficient. Perhaps with the extension of the textual content of the package.

  5. You should be able to change the customer on a reservation without first having to add them as a companion. The current process creates an unnecessary and inefficient workflow.

    For example, if a booker initially makes a reservation under Joe Smith but later wants to change the guest name to Jane Doe, the hotel reservations agent must:
    1. Change the reservation to two guests
    2. Add Jane Doe as a companion
    3. Assign Jane Doe as the primary guest
    4. Remove Joe Smith from the reservation
    5. Change the reservation back to one adult

    That’s five steps just to change…

  6. When a customer is making his check/in on the kiosk, i want to be able to ask them for a preauthorization before getting their keys.

  7. When the bill is closed with a deposit, it clearly states on the bill that there is a deposit in a separate segment of the bill.
    However, the problem is when the bill gets reissued. The deposit item is no longer in seperate segment.

    As it is now registered as an "additional" expense item, it now gets only put under the top part of the bill under the stay package.

    The clearer way would be to keep it in a separate segment (Similar to how we bring back payments on original bills)

  8. Why does Mews changes things for no reason? where is the back button on reservation gone? when I do my reservations checks, once I'm finished, I had to click back 5-6 times before it takes me back to the reservation report. Also, not impressed with new reservation report - you seem to have to re-enter all the filters every time you try to go back to original reservations list!

  9. We really appreciate if there will be possibility to specify age categories to two decimal places (e.g. babies 0-2.99, childrens 3-11.99). These logic is used by lots of OTA´s and we would like to set up our WBE by the same principal to be able to offer the same prices to our guest.

  10. It would be great if we could label the bookings individually and make sure that this is everywhere visible.
    Example: Speakers from the seminar
    We make do with the top management classification in the guest profile, but even this is not obvious everywhere.
    I expect to see this information in the booking overview of a group, for example, without having to expand the reservation. And it must be visible in the timeline.
    In addition, this is a classification that does not belong to the guest profile, but to the individual room reservation. After all, the speaker could arrive later as…

  11. There used to be an arrow to go from the guest profile back to whatever page you were working on. Now the arrow is only there when you manage a reservation, but not for the guest profiles. Please bring it back!

  13. Whenever you create a block, Mews makes a "virtual rate code" for the group block. This becomes a nightmare when collecting rate code data from Mews API. Especially when ONLY American English is auto-generated for short name. Default language is based on user, not property so if one user has something else than American English, then the rate code name in database becomes blank. it should auto generate in american english short name no matter what language user uses.

  14. Currently, the cancellation tag in the MEWS booking engine is not flexible enough.

    The logic is fixed on the system side:

    Cancellation on the day of arrival = automatically 2:00 p.m. or defined check-in time.

    Cancellation X days before arrival = automatically 12:00 a.m.

    Individual cancellation times cannot be displayed. Rates such as “cancellable until 6:00 p.m. on the day of arrival” or “14 days before arrival until 2:00 p.m.” cannot be displayed correctly.

    A manual adjustment of the time per rate in the cancellation tag would be necessary in order to display the cancellation conditions correctly and transparently.

  15. We see the need for being able to set accounting categories as inactive. As for today, they must be marked as "do not use" or similar to avoid linking them to products etc. This causes issues for the ERP systems.

    We can't delete these categories entirely because they may be linked to past transactions and need to be kept for auditing and historical purposes.

  16. Description
    When adjusting a reservation’s arrival or departure date or time, the existing room lock is currently removed. This creates a risk that the lock is forgotten and the room is unintentionally reassigned, which leads to operational issues for the front desk and reservations teams.

    Feature request
    Please ensure that when arrival or departure dates or times are changed, the existing room lock on the space is retained automatically. This would remove the need for staff to manually remember to reapply the lock and reduce errors in daily operations.

  17. Issue:

    When the browser temporarily loses connection to the Mews Server, an “Offline. Please check Internet connection.” banner/message appears. However, this message often persists longer than necessary and obstructs access to UI elements, particularly the bottom‑left navigation tabs.

    Impact:

    The lingering offline banner prevents users from accessing key sections of the interface even after connectivity is restored, disrupting workflow and causing unnecessary delays.

    Requested Improvement:

    Please update the offline behavior so that the message:

    • Dismisses automatically when connectivity is restored
    • Does not block critical UI elements, or
    • Is relocated, minimized, or made collapsible to avoid obstructing navigation

  18. It would be useful if you could also see the address when merging the companies and travel agencies. Often there are branches that only differ in their address. This is not apparent from the current comparison.

    Ideally, I could also decide right here whether the address should be transferred. This would avoid the subsequent deletion action because both addresses are currently transferred.

  19. When using the calendar view and adding a restriction, after saving, you are automatically redirected to the list of restrictions, which means leaving the calendar view. Therefore, after each addition, you need to go back to the calendar and reapply the filters to display the desired dates.

    I considered the solution of opening two windows—one to keep the calendar view open and the other to create restrictions. However, this does not solve the problem: when a restriction is created in one window, the other window needs to be refreshed to display it, and this refresh resets the filters and returns…

  20. When moving items to a new bill, it will be great if we could have more options to filter the bills. For example, now, if we were to choose "Another Company" it will show all bills open on that company profile. But when we have hundreds of bills open (especially when created through billing automations), it is very hard to know which one is which. Ability to filter with the associated profile would be very useful.
