Improving Restriction Creation Flow with calendar view
When using the calendar view and adding a restriction, after saving, you are automatically redirected to the list of restrictions, which means leaving the calendar view. Therefore, after each addition, you need to go back to the calendar and reapply the filters to display the desired dates.
I considered the solution of opening two windows—one to keep the calendar view open and the other to create restrictions. Guest communication for multi- room bookings
We are an unstaffed property, so any gap in guest communication is a real concern.
Lately we noticed issues around multi-room bookings and messages that are sent out along.
In the setup as is, Mews sends a single confirmation for the group rather than one per reservation — which is why the guest only sees confirmation details for one of the rooms, so they cannot manage to check in without assistance.Suggestion: Review the setup of mail templates in "Guest Experience", making sure that every single booking receives all the details neccesary for check-in, even if they are part of…

wir arbeiten sehr gerne mit Mews, vermissen jedoch im stressigen Rezeptionsalltag eine wichtige visuelle Hilfestellung, die wir aus unserem vorherigen System (HS3) kannten: die farbliche Gestaltung der Reservierungen nach ihrem Zahlungsstatus.
In HS3 waren die Buchungen auf dem Zimmerplan nicht nur nach dem Check-in-Status unterteilt, sondern zeigten auch direkt die Abrechnungs-Situation an. Auf einen Blick war sofort ersichtlich:
Gast ausgecheckt / erfolgreich bezahlt
Gast eingecheckt / ausstehende Zahlung
Gast ausgecheckt / Rechnung noch offen (wichtiger Warnhinweis!)
In Mews müssen wir aktuell jede Reservierung einzeln öffnen und das Billing kontrollieren. Besonders bei großen Abreisewellen kostet das viel Zeit…

Guest classifications in Product Checklist
We would like to add the feature where the classification of a guest is also visible in the product checklist. When we have a VIP or Important guest, and they come for breakfast, we want to see this directly in the checklist. This way we can give them a different treatment than other guests.

Trial Balance Improvement
To add additional column that shows Accounting Category, Accounting Category Code, Cost Center Code, and External Code as it is visible in Activity Ledger Report.

invoice reference
If a company requests a specic reference on an invoice, for exampl: "Märkning: EFD2026". Easiest is to type it in under purchase order number so we do not forget when creating the invoice. Instead of unique identifier which can only be used when the bill is beting closed.
But it would be great if we could type in different purchase order numbers for different reservations and it will be displayed on the bill even if it is one total bill for several reservations.3 votes -

To make it more accessible for people with color blindness, I would like to suggest a design improvement for the Housekeeping Status on the Mews timeline.

Improve visibility of special request information from OTAs
I would like OTA-delivered Special Requests (stored in the reservation Properties tab) to be visible in reservation reports and in the Arrivals preview, so staff don’t miss guest-specific details. This is counter intuitive to the highly personalized service we strive for.

shared reservation
It would be nice to have the share reservation option.
It means that, if we have 2 reservations in 2 different spaces - in case the hotel has big suites or villas and the guest request to upgrade the orginal room to one of the biggest and eventually share the same one, it would be nice to combine this two reservations in one space in order to free the others which will remain empty with the possibility to resell it1 vote -

Confirmation package without listing all products included
I would like a confirmation for packages without mentioning all products from the reservation. These products are set as “Bill as package” anyway and are not shown separately on the guest's bill either. Just mentioning the rate name and total amount on the confirmation would be sufficient. Perhaps with the extension of the textual content of the package.

add a number of nights the reservation is for to the reservation report view
Would it be difficult to add a number of nights the reservation is for to the reservation report view? This would help tremendously. Currently it is very difficult to find the amount of nights the guest has booked in PMS without creating a report - only in Reservation preview from Reservations overview. Otherwise not anywhere in the Reservation properties. It would help choosing appropriate reservations for upgrading when necessary to make available a room category, or to control that room rate is producing correct LOS (controlling the restrictions), or controling that correct products have been added depending on the Length…

All Out of Service to be used for future dates
When you select out of service it will then give you the option to add a date and time for the future, so its set up similar to Out of Order.
It allows us to block rooms in the future without impacting the inventory. This is particularly helpful for group managements.

Age Categories
We really appreciate if there will be possibility to specify age categories to two decimal places (e.g. babies 0-2.99, childrens 3-11.99). These logic is used by lots of OTA´s and we would like to set up our WBE by the same principal to be able to offer the same prices to our guest.

Display cancellation tags does not match cancellation policy
Currently, the cancellation tag in the MEWS booking engine is not flexible enough.
The logic is fixed on the system side:
Cancellation on the day of arrival = automatically 2:00 p.m. or defined check-in time.
Cancellation X days before arrival = automatically 12:00 a.m.
Individual cancellation times cannot be displayed. Rates such as “cancellable until 6:00 p.m. on the day of arrival” or “14 days before arrival until 2:00 p.m.” cannot be displayed correctly.
A manual adjustment of the time per rate in the cancellation tag would be necessary in order to display the cancellation conditions correctly and transparently.
