Optional bookings - released status ( and not cancelled)
When making optional bookings, this means we are holding a room/rooms but the booking is not confirmed.
If this bookings is never confirmed, we should have an status called released instead of cancelled, as you are not really cancelling the booking, you are releasing the booking.42 votesHello from the Mews product team,

Permanently delete a cancelled reservation
A canceled reservation still appears in the guest's navigator, would it be possible to choose which of them to permanently delete?
I offer my guests different spaces or tariffs, they choose one, and then the others end up being canceled but they are still present in their navigator, cutting it up. I wish I was able to delete the irrelevant ones.4 votes -
Set a Minimum advance reservation restriction for online bookings
I would like to set a "Minimum advance reservation" restriction 4 hours before midnight (8 pm). Then customers cannot reserve online after 8 pm for reservations on that day of arrival. Our reception closes at 9 pm. This way our reception has at least 1 hour to help guests with information (digital keys, night safe) for a late arrival.

when merging profiles, could notes from both profiles be kept
At present, when you merge profiles, only the notes on the profile you chose to keep are saved. Any notes on the duplicate profile are lost.

The ability to personnalize our Space Types
Our hotel is unique and so are our accomodation type. We would like to be able to create our own (ex "Pool Suites") to match and reflect our offer perfectly.

Hi, there is limited "space type" to choose from, and not always describing the product.

Message visibility
Customer Messages should be attached directly to the customer profile, so that all hotel staff can easily access/read/react to the conversation.
In that way, only unread messages would appear in the general customer message board and that would clear the clutter.
There could even be a message icon on every reservation badge, so that the staff can access customer-hotel conversations directly.15 votes -

Allow all links in MEWS to be opened in a new tab with a middle mouse click
All the Main Menu sections, all links within MEWS - please make them openable with the middle mouse click (new tab in the browser) - it's tedious to have to manually open a new instance of MEWS in another tab to be able to quickly view two sections side-by-side. Why are not all links and sections like this?

Can we have unique "favicons" to help distinguish between MEWS.li and help.MEWS.com?
Currently the favicons in the browser tabs look the same for these two sites, which makes navigating between multiple tabs longer than it should (say you have 2 help pages open and 2 MEWS tabs - jumping between them can be tedious since the tab (fav)icons are the same.

Standalone PMS
I would love to see a standalone version of mews that doesn't run on a browser.
This would have two key benefits:
much faster loading times. We suffer from incredibly slow operating speeds all through mews, every time we press a button it has to spend time loading, which in cue means customers have to wait longer. creating terrible customer experience.
ability to have an offline mode. We also suffer not only from occasional mews outages, due to slow/unresponsive actions - but also bad internet where we are, which can often be very temperamental and drop out often during adverse…

Maximum room bookable at one time
we wish to be able to set a maximum limit of rooms bookable by a client (absolute limit and limit by room categories) in order to avoid privatization of the establishment, for example.

Remove or edit children selection in booking flow
In our company, we differentiate guests as an adult(age 4 and above) or an infant (age 3 and below). Only adults are counted for room capacity. We don't need the children field, it would be great if we could remove it or edit that field and change it to infant.

Redirect MEWS commander user to a property (active session, same chain) by URL
Use case:
- We have an internal tool, synchronized via API with MEWS. We have access to Reservations, Customers, etc.
- In our internal tool, we identify one Reservation (id-id = X, property-id = Y). In same internal reservation page details, we want to include a link to open MEWS in that reservation details: https://www.mews.li/Commander/Reservation/Detail/X?property-id=Y1 vote -
Pre arrival email template
It would be useful to have a mail template to be sent a few days before the guest arrival, as a reminder, but also to let them have directions to the hotel, useful info regarding events during their stay etc.

Notification icon for release notes only when there is an unread(!) release note
First of all: I like that there is a symbol / notification in Commander (in the top right) for new releases.
But once I have clicked on it, I would like that it disappears, also after logging out and back in.
It basically should only appear, once there is a new release note. Because like that I always know that there is something new I should read.
But if I receive a notification (--> the icon shows up in the top right), but there is no new release note, it's a bit frustrating if there is no new release note.…

task ring/bell signal
It would be great that we could set a ring/bell signal for some urgent tasks, like for: Late check out, wake-up call, any other urgent task. So you hear that something urgent needs to be done, also when you do not look at the desktop screen.

Create limited stock for the different product solded.
For example, if we sold parking spot, and we have a limited number of them.

Painful photos uploading
The way we upload photos today in space categories is... archaic. One photo at a time, no tags, no way to describe the photo. The way you move photos order is also not efficient.
For a company like ours who has sometimes 50 photos per chalet, it's a nightmare :)
Please build a real "media section", where you can upload as many photos / videos as you want in one time. You could add tags and description for each photo / video.
