Have an allotment as part of the block feature recently released
MEWS currently does not support allotment.
For a property with a lot of allotments contracts in place throughout the year and some with release on different dates i.e 1 room on 2 days release, 3 rooms on 5 days release etc. this is not manageable through the current block feature as there can only be one release date. Hence, all allotments need to be entered as individual blocks (which could be a very large number rather than just one block covering the whole year), this is just not sustainable. Add status "Cancelled" to availability blocks
We would urgently require the addition of the status "Cancelled" to availability blocks, so that at a glance we can immediately find the status of a group in the Availability Block Report

Reservation Status after restoring the booking
After restoring a cancelled booking the status is automatically "Confirmed" and there is no possibility to change it.
It would be very useful to have the possibility to choose the status (Confirmed/Optional/Inquiry) to which the booking should be restored.
Specially for group tentative/optional bookings which have been cancelled after the option date and need to be restored because the guest is still interested, but the booking is not confirmed yet.

Close task when reservation is cancelled
When the reservation is cancelled and there is task assigned for the reservation, system should automatically cancel the task inside the reservation as well.

Mail History for a reservation is listed on the "Mailing" Tab of that reservation
On the Mailing tab it would be convenient to see a list of emails that have been sent from that reservation.
That way we can quickly ensure that Reservation Agents are not double sending emails and if the guest contacts us, we can quickly see what has been sent to them concerning that reservation.

Classification in internals is not made for hotel operation. Most of the options are not used, redundant, not clear or just missing. It is difficult to have a clear picture of what the guest really like or want.
The unique long alphabetic ordered list make it difficult to navigate through it. If options would be added to complete the list, it will be even more difficult to go through.expected outcomes

Mark partially completed Online Check-Ins
Guests often abort the Online CI at the credit card entry field, but complete the guest registration process. A completed guest registration should somehow be marked in MEWS as it saves time for the receptionist and creates a better guest experience.
Possible solutions:
Header text: must be checked in - Completed guest registration - Checked in Online
Icon somewhere in the reservations of the arrival field

Showing subtotals on the reservation screen
When creating a new reservation, on the right handside, the total is including all the added products & city tax. We should be able to see a subtotal NOT including the City Tax.

Mail Templates for blockreservation
We would like to send offers and confirmations of a block reservation directly from MEWS. For this we need mail templates for blocks and the possibility to click on the mail template option in the block (just like with the individual reservations)

Mailing History Report
At the moment only administrators can see the emails sent to the guests (on their profile).
Why not every user ?
It would be nice for every Mews user to see all the emails sent to the guests for a better follow-up on the booking.

Note on Bookings
Every other PMS system I have used categorises Notes on bookings.
This really is a feature that needs developing In MEWS.There should be various boxes, one for Housekeeping Notes/ One for F&B notes/ Spa etc ...
These teams can then print off reports for notes just for them, without having to wade through things that are irrelevantAlso one for Public notes ( visible for Guests to see on confirmations and online Kiosks for self check in )
Private notes for Internal notes - visible only for staff & hidden from Guests.
This makes for a seamless guest journey,…

Product to be added on specific days
Ability to select products for specific days whilst creating the reservation. At the moment, you need to create a booking and then amend by canceling products for the days not needed.

Message Templates
There are common questions guests ask, it would save a lot of time if we can create our own templates for replies to the guest messages (like in booking.com) and just select the one we want to reply to the guest message.

Restrict the status of rooms that are checked in to maximum cleaned status
If rooms are checked in, the status of the room can still be set to inspected.
We think it would be useful that the room status in that case can only be set to clean and not inspected.
Otherwise, the room will be available for self-check-in at the Mews Kiosk.
Only in the last step - the key encoding - the guest is informed that Self-CI cannot be completed successfully.

Privileges for changing Room allocated to a guest
Hi Mews community,
We are using Min stays restrictions extensively by Room categories. Unfortunately we came across some pretty non compliant behaviours where a Reservation agent will find no availability in one room type, so create a new booking in another room type, and then move the guest to the room type that was initially restricted.
