Have an allotment as part of the block feature recently released
MEWS currently does not support allotment.
For a property with a lot of allotments contracts in place throughout the year and some with release on different dates i.e 1 room on 2 days release, 3 rooms on 5 days release etc. this is not manageable through the current block feature as there can only be one release date. Hence, all allotments need to be entered as individual blocks (which could be a very large number rather than just one block covering the whole year), this is just not sustainable. Classification in internals is not made for hotel operation. Most of the options are not used, redundant, not clear or just missing. It is difficult to have a clear picture of what the guest really like or want.
The unique long alphabetic ordered list make it difficult to navigate through it. If options would be added to complete the list, it will be even more difficult to go through.expected outcomes

Mark partially completed Online Check-Ins
Guests often abort the Online CI at the credit card entry field, but complete the guest registration process. A completed guest registration should somehow be marked in MEWS as it saves time for the receptionist and creates a better guest experience.
Possible solutions:
Header text: must be checked in - Completed guest registration - Checked in Online
Icon somewhere in the reservations of the arrival field
When printing out guest registration cards, replace those of the guests that already completed the form with the actual completed PDF. (prefered solution)31 votes -

Restrict the status of rooms that are checked in to maximum cleaned status
If rooms are checked in, the status of the room can still be set to inspected.
We think it would be useful that the room status in that case can only be set to clean and not inspected.
Otherwise, the room will be available for self-check-in at the Mews Kiosk.
Only in the last step - the key encoding - the guest is informed that Self-CI cannot be completed successfully.

Product to be added on specific days
Ability to select products for specific days whilst creating the reservation. At the moment, you need to create a booking and then amend by canceling products for the days not needed.

Showing subtotals on the reservation screen
When creating a new reservation, on the right handside, the total is including all the added products & city tax. We should be able to see a subtotal NOT including the City Tax.

Privileges for changing Room allocated to a guest
Hi Mews community,
We are using Min stays restrictions extensively by Room categories. Unfortunately we came across some pretty non compliant behaviours where a Reservation agent will find no availability in one room type, so create a new booking in another room type, and then move the guest to the room type that was initially restricted.

Mail History for a reservation is listed on the "Mailing" Tab of that reservation
On the Mailing tab it would be convenient to see a list of emails that have been sent from that reservation.
That way we can quickly ensure that Reservation Agents are not double sending emails and if the guest contacts us, we can quickly see what has been sent to them concerning that reservation.

Group Overview
We need a group overview where we can see upcoming groups (groups in our case means minimum 10 rooms or more per booking).
Just an easy overview of all the group (not individual booking) maybe a month ahead. It could be in a report or by similar to timeline.

Manually override restriction for a single new reservation
Often we would like to block certain dates for bookings online.
For example, check-out on a sunday is not allowed in our properties.
But when we receive a request from a VIP guest, we're not going to tell them no.Currently the only way to get that reservation in the system is to delete the restrictions, make the reservation, and then set the restrictions again. This is time consuming, and prone to human errors.
It would be great to have to option to 'override restrictions' for a single booking in the new reservation window. And maybe give this permission only…

Add "guest name" as a placeholder in the text of "Booker Confirmation"
Although the name of the guest appears in the reservation details, it would be great to be able to add the name of the guest (as a placeholder) in the text and subject of the email for the "Booker Confirmation".
For example:
"Dear Isabel (booker),

Often when guest book in advance we have to search all over the calendar which room are overbooked. When this happen, instead of spending time searching between 2 years, Mews could simply show which dates are overbooked so we could access it straight away
