  1. To reinstate future bookings that were canceled (or marked as a no-show) up to one day after the original check-in date. This feature will simplify the procedure of amending booking that were not meant to be canceled. It will boost efficiency since clicking on a reinstate button, it is easier than creating a new booking.

  2. New update changed calendar/timeline colors to 50 shades of gray, why!!!???

    so,

    Out of order: dark gray
    Future stay: less dark gray
    checked out: light gray

    Why???

    Departures: light blue
    People checking in: light blue

    Who is designing your UI, probably same genius who designs your billing screens (old and new)

  3. What we would like is to be able to change the PAX on a nightly basis.

    E.g.
    "Guest A" has reserved a room for 5 nights. On night 1,2,3 Guest A stays in the room alone. Night 4 & 5 "Guest B" will join "Guest A" in the same room.

    As for now we have no possibility to change the amount adults/children since there's already products that has been consumed previous nights. (breakfast --> via product rule)
    This makes our safety list, and other reports show the wrong amount of overnight guests and products.

  4. Sometimes a guest messages us on the MEWS platform, and then calls and we are able to answer their enquiry over the phone.
    I would then like to be able to mark their message as completed without the guest having to see. This way the next person on front desk will not come along and think that the enquiry still needs to be answered.

  5. It would be great to be able to choose consumption date and time when setting product rules - For example If the product should be added on arrival date or in the night.

    When you have a package that includes dinner at the arrival date it's not optimal to have the consumption date, by defualt set as the day after if the product is added through a product rule.

    As it is now this affects the product reports in a negative way.

  6. The room number tab column in the rooming list should be customisable as we have many operational issues with the room numbers appearing on it and clients expecting to have those rooms when they check in. We should be able to remove this column if not relevant.

  7. The old occupancy report is still available but not the previous availability report.

    We used this report daily to modify the distribution between room types (mainly for internet channels to increase available single rooms and decrease double). It was easy to read, to modify and with a clear view on several future days.

    The new report doesn’t give a direct view on number of rooms available for each room category. The table is also less convenient when it comes to change these rooms allocations (several sub-menus whereas the access was easier before).

    Hello from the Mews product team,

    Thank you for sharing your feedback with us regarding the new availability and occupancy report.

    We currently provide the option to swap back to the old Availability and Occupancy report, by selecting the button on the top right hand side of the new report labelled "Old Occupancy report. Selecting this button will switch you back to the old Occupancy report as requested. Once you are able to view the old Occupancy report, select the Availability under “Mode” filter.

    We have updated your request title to solve for comparing availability by room type over a long period. This request has been updated as one to be upvoted by the Mews Community.

  8. Can we please get a simple number of nights count when viewing/managing a reservation? As simple as placing it next to the "nights" section would be immensely helpful when working with guests, particularly guests who have more lengthy stays. Currently, the only option Mews offers is to manually count or do math, which takes up uneccessary time while interacting with guests, and gets frustrating for such a simple and essential part of that interaction.

  10. Persons arriving later to a unit than the already checked in people - cannot be added for only a part of the whole stay. Same with persons departing earlier than the other people of the same unit.
    Within in an apartement 2 people stay 2 nights 2 people stay 4 nights.

  11. In the date filters, latest date remains in the past after earliest date has been set in the future.

    To prevent additional manual work:
    MEWS should automatically change the calendar date to a date later than the check-in date selected. For example, check in date 1/1/2021, check out date should default to 2/1/2021 (and not remain to todays date).

  12. Mews lists amenities on the individual room level.

    It makes more sense to list amenities on the room category level so that all rooms within a specific category come with a set of amenities.

    We would like to be able to turn off the sound when a notification comes in.
    when we are talking to guests, it is very annoying when we hear a 'ping' in our ear all the time.
    if it is also possible to turn off the notifications completely, that would be great.

  18. Currently you can set "reservation assignment strategy" to manage how rooms are allocated to reservations (e.g. top down, bottom up etc.). This works well, except there are a couple of rooms that we would like to allocate as "last sell". i.e. all other rooms get allocated automatically according to the reservation assignment strategy, with the exception of certain room numbers, which would get allocated last if the hotel was to be fully occupied.

  19. On the dashboard of a guest, we cannot see in one eyesight the previous room number, we have to click on details, or open every past bill.
    It will be usefull to have this information on the screen where all past bookings are displayed, especially if it's a returning guest with a lot of previous stays

  20. We have large flats with 3 rooms, equipped as follows s1iLiving room (not bookable independently).
    2 bedrooms (can be booked in combination with the living room as a small or large flat, or separately as 2 studios.
    Is it possible to add the living room so that it is not included in the count of total available rooms?
    In one of our existing houses, this means that instead of 124 rooms with 10 flats, we suddenly have 134 available rooms.
    For the cleaning report, it certainly makes sense to list all rooms. However, for all statistics, the data is distorted.
