  1. The new messages functionality is a huge improvement for guest communication. It would be very useful to have additional options like archive/delete, mark as unread and star messages from customers (or internally).

  2. Hey team,

    It would be great if we can upload our own favicon on the MEWS distributor links.
    In this way users better understand they are on the hotels brand website.
    And it will help for Google Hotel Search; currently the hotels show with a green generic logo.
    There is the option to request your own logo however following Google’s guidelines the favicon must match the final url:

  3. Countless languages are usable in MEWS by default. This makes a selection, for example when creating profiles, sending confirmations, etc. very tedious.

    In our house only German and English are used and it would be great if you could deactivate the other languages via global system settings.

    This would greatly improve our processes

  4. In guest portal first screen, you can see an overview of reservations and clearly which one is cancelled. Once you enter into the Reservation details, the cancelled one does not state "Cancelled" so it can be confusing for the guest.

  5. It should be possible to add multiple pictures to be displayed for products on the booking engine (Mews distributor). The pictures should be a carousel, displayed in the "Enhance your stay" section for add-on products.

  6. we sometimes have the need to register both the guest work and private email. a second field would therefore be handy as currently you are not able to put it anywhere. same for phone numbers.
    yes, you could add this to the internals, however when looking up the guest contact details you tend to stay only on the profile tab and not search further!

  7. We offer a guest different room categories and send him this in an offer.
    Now it must be possible for him to confirm only one category and reject all others.
    Unfortunately, this has not been possible to date.

  8. At the moment every booking service has its own Booking engine. It would be great if the customer could book multiple services in one flow. For example accommodation and parking spaces at the same time.

  9. Include all fields of the guest internals tab in the guest profile report. Guest profile notes are sometimes more important than reservation notes to give clarity to classifiers.

  10. it would be a cool e-commerce feature increasing conversion if we could send a reminder and summary of an abandoned booking in distributor via e-mail. A personalised text and an easy way to book would be a must.

  12. Group summary has poor data. More detailed summary would be perfect for group reservation.

    Extra information:
    -Reservation ID
    -Name per reservation ID
    -Arrival - Departure per reservation ID
    -Conpanion per reservation ID
    -products per reservation ID such as bike rental, extra bed

  13. When guests book reservations with credit cards (distributor, commander), it would be really nice if they can be sent an email to digitally sign for and accept the credit card information in order to guarantee their reservation. This might help us avoid losing chargebacks as much and also help us enforce cancellation policies (which are currently unenforceable due to no token/signature for no shows).

  15. When the visitor of our booking street clicks on a date on which we have no availability, he or she will receive the advice to select another date or to contact our reception (by e-mail or by telephone). Currently it is impossible to change this text.

    We notice that our reception is now receiving many calls regarding our availability. In most cases, the caller reacts with disappointment, because providing these contact details incorrectly suggests that a room is still available.

    The option to change this text would be greatly appreciated.

  16. When a guest recerve online the system automatically delte the internal classification "Loyalty Program". It will be great is the system keep all the internals classifications.

  17. With regards to our highest room category, which is our ******, we have a price increase for additional guests from CHF 50 to CHF 70,-/each and for children from CHF 30,- to CHF 35,-/each as of 1st January 2023!
    Therefore we need the possibility to amend only for *

  19. We are a charity who provide accommodation for people at a greatly subsidised cost. We would like the online check out to prompt/ask guests if they would like to make a donation during the online check out process and to ask if they are Gift Aid eligible as part of that. It is similar to retailers who ask you to donate when paying online to their chosen charities and would make a huge difference to us.

  20. When customer is using PMS and POS, a guest profile needs to be created in Mews when guests are ordering via Mews POS.
