  1. It will be very helpful if we can receive an automatic notification when a reservation is not assigned to any space and requires the front desk agent to tetris reservations to fit in the spaces.

  2. Dear Mews Team,

    We highly value the flexibility and efficiency Mews provides in managing our daily operations. However, we would like to suggest an improvement to further enhance security and accountability within the platform, particularly concerning refunds.

    Currently, refund permissions in Mews are not granular enough to allow businesses to effectively control the maximum refund amounts that can be processed by various team members. This presents challenges in maintaining financial oversight and ensuring that only authorized personnel handle larger refunds.

  3. It would be helpful to have more charging rules or patterns for products.

    Especially for long term bookings (still with a nightly rate) it can be necessary to add a product on a weekly, bi-weekly or monthly pattern.

  4. There is less and less cash money in the wallets of the guests. We would be happy if there was a Mews-integrated Qr-code solution for the room cleaners, which can be distributed in the rooms so that guests can tip about it. I was inspired by the provider "Tippie" > https://tippie.de/ . They offer exactly that, but unfortunately not Mews integrated

  7. It is worth considering to automatically move completed "payments requests" and Mews Payment refunds to their relevant Open Bill, where the concerned stay items are already, at least.

    Currently, they all go to the Unpaid Section of the billing screen and the user is then tasked to move the items manually.

  8. Automatische Suche/ Eingabe von Bundesländern. Ich empfinde es als äußerst mühsam, die Bundesländer selbst "auswählen zu müssen". Speziell wird bei Bundesland dann nicht nur die Österreichischen Bundesländer angezeigt - sonder alle (aus Italien, Deutschland, Schweiz). Trotz das ich bereits Land Österreich ausgwählt hätte.
    In Zeiter der Digitalisierung und KI - sollte das Programm von der Postleitzahl und Land - das Bundesland selbst "raussuchen können". Ich selbst benutze zu 90% dazu auch Google

  10. Problem:
    When you update a product price in Mews (like breakfast), it only applies to new bookings. But if a guest changes their reservation (like the dates), Mews may remove the original product and re-add it at the new price not the one that was originally booked. This causes confusion for staff, inconsistent pricing for guests, and potential overcharges. Even with the workaround of creating new product versions and stopping sales of the old one, the issue can still happen, especially when guests change bookings via OTAs like Booking.com.

  12. When guests payment fails on Booking Engine (property's web page) - it would be good if a payment request is sent automatically and guests warned if they do not make the payment that the booking will be cancelled.

    We are currently doing this manually and sometimes it is a lot of extra work.

  13. In order to issue invoices in the "Overview by date (no reservation details)" invoice format we would need 3 changes to be implemented:

    1.Add notes to the "Overview by date (no reservation details)" invoice format 
     
    Currently the "Overview by date (no reservation details)" invoice format does not show notes for additional products for the services that have the option "has expanded bill items" and for products that have "bill as package" disabled.

    When the system does not allow the correct date to be selected, this "notes" field is often used to specify the date of when the service was…

  14. There is a huge problem in Mews when it comes to availability blocks and overbooking.

    Right now, if you for example have all existing standard rooms blocked in an availability block, and then there is an overbooking of a standard room, this overbooking will not show on the availability overview. It will just say that the availability for standard rooms is 0, and not -1. So then if you look at the availability overview, it will say for example that we have 0 standard rooms available and 1 superior room, so it looks like we have one room available, but…

  15. Bei vielen Artikeln ändern sich jedes Jahr der Preis. Es wird im System sehr unübersichtlich, wenn wir für jeden Jahr ein neues Produkt erstellen müssen, diese aber immer wählbar sind.
    Es müsste also möglich sein, dem Produkt einen Gültigkeitszeitraum zuzuweisen z.B. 01.01.-31.12.2025.
    Zusätzlich wäre es hilfreich, wenn in einer Buchung die Anzahl angegeben werden kann, wie oft das Produkt hinzugefügt werden soll. z.B. ein Produkt Halbpension welches pro Person pro Nacht gebucht wird bei einem Aufenthalt von 4 Nächten nur 2x gebucht werden soll.

  16. It would be good if you didn't have to create room moves as 2 separate reservations but could "link" the reservations. Otherwise, the guests receive double pre- and post-stay mailings, we have to correct the registration forms manually and it also distorts the overnight stay statistics with additional arrival/departure and length of stay.

    Es wäre gut, wenn man Zimmerverschiebungen nicht als 2 separate Reservierungen anlegen müsste, sondern die Reservierungen "verknüpfen" könnte. Ansonsten erhalten die Gäste vor und nach dem Aufenthalt doppelte Mailings, wir müssen die Anmeldeformulare manuell korrigieren und es verfälscht auch die Übernachtungsstatistik durch zusätzliche An-/Abreise und Aufenthaltsdauer.

  17. We should be able to filter rate codes as expired to not take up space in the rate code screen, but activate them again if needed. This way the system can stay clean and tidy. Especially since you don't have a search feature.

  18. Create a seperate option to choose charge card online and terminal payments as user rights.
    E.g. our front office should only charge via the terminal and not cards via MEWS.

  19. When searching for merge of Customer profiles, is it possible to add a filter, so that similar profiles with existing profiles at the hotel (reservation +1) to be shown on the list? Instead of only the name and email ?
    For exp Daniel Andersen (Reservation +1) and possible email ?
    This would make the merging of customer profiles a bit quicker !

  20. Proposal: Customize Stayover Room Cleaning Status Automation

    Currently, stayover rooms are automatically set to “dirty” or “uninspected” after one night. This default behavior creates unnecessary confusion for the housekeeping team and results in inefficient workflows.

    Key Issues:

    Unnecessary Cleaning:
    The system automatically changes every stayover room’s status to “dirty” or “uninspected,” which can lead to cleaning being performed even when the guest has not requested it.

    Inefficient Workflow:
    Housekeeping staff must spend extra time identifying which rooms require cleaning since all rooms are flagged automatically, without considering whether they are truly in need of service.
