Notifications panel improvements
Hi Mews team,
I would like to suggest an improvement for the Notifications panel in Mews Operations.
We use notifications every day during our night shifts to check all reservations created during the day. The current notification panel becomes very difficult to work with when there are many notifications (for example, 99+).
At the moment:
- Notifications can only be viewed in a small pop-up window.
- The window cannot be resized or opened in a separate tab/page.
- There are no filtering options (e.g. by date or notification type).
- When I open a notification, the panel closes automatically and I have to open it again and scroll all the way back down to where I was.
- If I have dozens of notifications to review, this process becomes extremely time-consuming and frustrating.
It would be very helpful if we could:
- Open notifications in a dedicated full-page view or a larger window.
- Filter notifications by date, type, or status.
- Keep the notifications panel open after opening an item.
- Add search or sorting options, similar to what is already available in Reservations and other sections of Mews.
Reviewing notifications is part of our daily workflow, so these improvements would significantly improve usability and save time for staff members who work with a large number of reservations.
This is especially problematic for night shift staff. Checking newly created reservations is part of our daily workflow and can easily take several minutes longer simply because the notification panel always resets its position.
With 99+ notifications, it becomes almost unusable, as every opened reservation forces us to reopen the panel and scroll back to the previous position manually.
Even simple improvements such as remembering the scroll position or allowing notifications to open in a dedicated page would significantly improve the user experience.
Thank you for considering this suggestion!
