  2. When an invoice is issued for the following month but then the booking gets cancelled in the current month - the revenue will be posted in the following month but the revenue of the current month will be reduced.
    In other words there will be 'fake' revenue in the following month but the revenue in the current month will be lower that it actually is.
    This is also affectig VAT.

    The rebate should be posted on the same day as the items are consumed and not on the day of the cancellation.

  3. If 3 rooms can be sold as AB, BC, and ABC, we currently cannot allow for multiple parent rooms (blocking AB and BC from BOTH being sold)

  4. Why do you have a housekeeping app where you still need to pull a manual report for all the details? Can we have the fields in the housekeeping report added to the app so you can see how the rooms need to be set up for the next guest in terms of guest notes and the number of occupancies from a family of 4 to 2 people in the room, then help assist if the sofa bed would need to be put away.

  6. If there are multiple public rates within the same rate group, MEWS will only display the cheapest option in the booking engine.

    This causes issues for us for example when publishing our Christmas packages. They would both fall under the same rate group (PKG - Package incl. breakfast in this example), but since one package includes dinner and the other one a *****, only the cheaper ***** package will be shown to our guests.

Guests occasionally have a reservation under one booking, followed by another reservation under a different booking number (e.g if they've decided to add another night or have been staying for work and adding another day as a personal expense). Under the current system they need to check out and get their cards recut which isn't a great customer experience, we need to manually allocate the same room for both stays, inform Housekeeping not to clear the room and if they haven't paid in advance, we need to pay extra attention to their billing as it's split over multiple bookings.

  10. Chain hotels that manage (Group-) or individual reservations for 95% from headquarters level want to restrict individual hotels to make any changes on the reservation. Especially, when the majority of guests are corporate travellers whereby the booking has been made by the company booker. There is an agreement between Chain and Company HQ, whereby the individual hotels are not allowed to make any changes on the reservation.

    Restricting employees to only view the reservation details, but are still able to check-in/out and handle the billing of the guestprofile would resolve this.

  11. In quotation mails for 1-5 rooms the guest/booker can see rate details (name, conditions..) but for more than 5 rooms the rate details (cancellation, payment...) are not displayed, therefore we have to send group offers for more than 5 rooms manually to show cancellation and payment conditions.

  12. Provide functionality for auto-allocation of bookings to units, in order to spread revenue income evenly across owners. Rather than Top-Down, Bottom-Up, or Random, taking prior YTD revenue consumed by unit in to account would help spread revenue evenly and keep owners happy (particularly w/ Condo-Hotel types where individuals own specific units and put them in rental pools)

It would be good that the bills that are in the Company Profile billing showed whether the reservation is 'Past', 'Future' or 'Checked in' so it is easier to issue invoices to big OTA providers like AirBnb, which have many bookings assigned at the same time. Currently you have to open and check every single bill.

    This could show the same way the 'Items: 1' tab does.

  14. Dans la partie de droite de la réservation, il sera plus facile de lire les produits s'ils étaient regroupés en une ligne. Pour des longs séjours la liste des produits est vite beaucoup trop longue.
    Par exemple au lieu d'avoir 9 lignes avec 1 produit, avoir 1 ligne avec les 9 produits

  16. While using a space in space set up, but NOT using different reservations in that space, it is now not possible to process a late check out for only one space. This is inconvenient, since in practice it happens that only one space needs a late check out and not the whole room/all spaces.

    Our example: We have 2-room apartments that are a combination of 2 separate rooms, combined with a connecting door. The 2-room apartments can be booked separately, or as a 2-room apartment by for example a family. In the case of the family, the 2-room apartment is…

  17. We need a quick option to consolidate items in billing and rename them.

    So f.eks. we sell our guest a soup and a panini through our trivec system, but when we send the bill we have companies that wants those two items to be consolidated into one item and renamed “hot meal"

  18. When you try to delete a rate, it can be very frustrating to have to find out it is linked to your channel manager / has restrictions / linked to another rate / has a voucher....
    why not allow you tick boxes to do this whilst you are in the rate you want to delete?
    it took me about 5 minutes for something that should be able to be done in 30 seconds!

  19. In the mews app, show the product items that are within the system so that housekeeping knows what to add, a bottle of champagne for example.

    It would be even greater if we would have a setting per product to what we would like to show in the app. Breakfast for example would not be relevant to housekeeping.

  20. We're new to MEWS and whilst the functionality is brilliant (thank you), our front of house team really struggle with the visual appearance of the timeline. Spending lots of screen time on a screen with poor visual appearance and contrasts is not healthy and inefficient as it is difficult to see the timeline at a glance - please could you look at improving visual contrasts both colours and lines between dates/spaces for improved accessibility.
