inclusive packaged rates
Where one has rates setup and sold inclusive of the the package e.g. Breakfast, @ R1500.00 single or double inclusive of breakfast. In MEWS rate setup it is required to set a negative occupant adjustment for the value of the breakfast in order to correctly quote the rate for the single room booking @ R1500.00
Where you have derived rates, one normally sets the rate up against the base rate with its relative % adjustment. e.g. -10%, however as the base rate has the negative occupant adjustment for the breakfast to too is discounted on the single rate published. Therefore one does not get a true "-10%" off of the base rate.
As a result you cannot use derived rates and have to setup up multiple rate groups for each "set" of derived rates and update each group base rate when for any rate changes or yielding to publish the correct rate e.g. Less 10%, 15%, 20% rates off of BAR/base.
To make rate management more efficient it would be nice to be able to set up inclusive packages to a room rate, apply the relative adjustment without also discounting the negative occupant adjustment value.
Additinally as one has to setup up multiple rate groups to facilitate this, if there is a change in the package price - breakfast, each rate group base needs to be updated. The price of the packaged items should not impact on the overall price of the room and if increased simply reduces AVR etc.

It would be easier to set up products with revenue in the correct accounting department and the corrected accounting department in the same configuration screen instead of creating different lines
